What biblical support is there for the idea that Adam had “powers” before he sinned?

Q: What biblical support is there for the idea that Adam had “powers” before he sinned?
Douglas W. Phillips, founder of Vision forum, claims that Adam had some kind of “powers” before he sinned that enabled him to do things that we couldn’t even come close to today. Does anyone know of any direct biblical support for this idea, as I know of none?

A: It’s clear that Adam was well educated by the Lord, in all things. Adam also possessed a near perfect human body (the Bible claims it was “very good”… not perfect.)

God would not have held Adam responsible for his sin, if he wasn’t fully capable of understanding God’s law, and keeping it.

Philips’ “take” on this might be a bit excessive, but it’s not totally wrong.

After the fall, Eden soon disappeared, and Adam did indeed steadily decline … in both body and soul … worn out by the harsh realities of his newly chosen circumstances … devoid of God’s grace … enslaved to Satan, sin, and death … until he eventually died.
