Learning to appreciate (apparent) infinity: The Mandelbrot Set

Most of us have a pretty hard time coming to grips with concepts of eternity and/or infinity.

And many more, unable or unwilling to try to comprehend such things at all, arbitrarily rule out the possibility that an eternal Supreme Being … the First Cause of all things … God … even exists.

Mathematical exercises like this one serve to demonstrate the beauty of numbers, in a very unique and enjoyable way.

Much of the fascination of the Mandelbrot set stems from the fact that an extremely simple formula gives rise to an object of such great complexity.

This video uses fractal geometry to generate a seemingly infinite array of geometric shapes.

If mere humans can generate stuff like this, just imagine the awesome workings of the mind of God!
