52,008,666 Babies Aborted Since Roe v.Wade (more than 52 MILLION)

“A Nation that kills its own children
is a nation without hope.”
– Pope John Paul II

Tomorrow marks 38 years since Roe v.Wade legalized abortion.
The right to life is our most fundamental human right;
yet we live in a culture where abortion is a daily tragedy.
For decades, courts have undermined the sanctity of human life.
Let us remember the millions of innocent children
put to death as a result of Roe v. Wade.

On the anniversary of this dastardly decision,
the words of Thomas Jefferson should concern us all:

“I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just;
that his justice cannot sleep forever.”

Top pro-abort group knew about violations in ‘house of horrors’ clinic, but did nothing.

The inspector, watching a few first-trimester procedures in Gosnell’s clinic, “noticed that no one was monitoring or taking vital signs of patients who were sedated during procedures,” wrote the jurors. “She asked Gosnell about the pulse oximeter that should have been used for monitoring, but he told her it was broken. Apparently, Karnamaya Mongar’s death a month earlier had not caused Gosnell to obtain equipment that worked.”

The Significance of Genuflections and Other Gestures

ROME, JAN. 21, 2010 (Zenit.org).- Faith in the presence of the Lord, and in particular in his Eucharistic presence, is expressed in an exemplary manner by the priest when he genuflects with profound reverence during the Holy Mass or before the Eucharist.

In the post-conciliar liturgy, these acts of devotion have been reduced to a minimum in the name of sobriety. The result is that genuflections have become a rarity, or a superficial gesture. We have become stingy with our gestures of reverence before the Lord, even though we often praise Jews and Muslims for their fervor and manner way of praying.

More than words, a genuflection manifests the humility of the priest, who knows he is only a minister, and his dignity, as he is able to render the Lord present in the sacrament. However, there are other signs of devotion.

Thousands heading to Washington, DC for annual March for Life

WASHINGTON, January 20, 2011 (LifeSiteNews.com) – With the National March for Life in Washington, D.C. just days away, pro-life groups, church parishes, colleges, and thousands of North Americans are preparing to head to the nation’s capital to demand that the government protect the lives of the unborn.

This year marks the 38th anniversary since the infamous Roe vs. Wade case that struck down laws restricting abortion in America.  Once again, hundreds of thousands are expected to descend on Washington, and reports are surfacing from across the country of local pro-life groups and individuals doing their part, whether large or small, to ensure that the crowd sizes are as massive as ever.

A Million Here … A Million There. Pretty Soon They’re Giving Away A Lot of (Your) Money!

(Reuters) – The Catholic church on Friday said it would pay nearly a million dollars to a man allegedly sexually abused at age 16 by a priest, who then tried to cover it up and hire a hit man to kill the victim.

What signs would indicate possible demonic activity in a friend or a family member?

ZENIT: What signs would indicate possible demonic activity in a friend or a family member?

Father Thomas: If, for example, if somebody was able to speak in a language that he had no prior competency in, or if someone would foam at the mouth or have a lot of rolling of the eyes.

If the person were not able to walk into a church or be close to any Catholic sacramental: holy water, a crucifix, the sacrament of the Eucharist, the sacramental anointing of the sick, or someone wearing some kind of a Christian symbol. If these caused a reaction, it certainly would be a sign.

Another sign of a diabolical attachment is when people have unnatural amounts of strength that they normally do not possess. Sometimes people will take on a serpentine appearance, again in reaction to sacraments and sacramentals.

But there would be things leading up to that; for example, these people could have an obsessive amount of thoughts or ideas of the Satanic, or feel a tremendous amount of depression in their lives, usually due to tapping into the spirit world. Those would be signs.

10 Bible Verses That Sent Marcus Grodi On His “Journey Home” To the Catholic Church.

Last night I watched a recording that I made of one of Marcus Grodi’s programs years ago, on “Coming Home” on EWTN. It was very good.

He was a Protestant preacher for 9 years, until he heard former Presbyterian minister (now Catholic theologian) Scott Hahn, give a talk.

Marcus said it was 10 verses of the Bible that he had never seen, or never before understood, that caused him to resign from his Protestant ministry and become Catholic.

He did a lot of expanding on each of the verses, about things that he had completely missed, every time he passed through them, before. On some, I add the “gist” of what he said.

Here are those 10 verses:

1. Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not unto your own understanding. In all ways, think on Him, and He will direct your ways.” Trust in the Lord and not your interpretation.

2. 1Timothy 3:14-15, “I hope to come to you soon, but I am writing these instructions to you so that, if I am delayed, you may know how one ought to behave in the household of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and bulwark of the truth”. What? The Church is the pillar of truth … and not the Bible?

3. 2Timothy 3:14-17, “But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have firmly believed, knowing from whom you learned it and how from childhood you have been acquainted with the sacred writings which are able to instruct you for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work. What? Only the Old Testament? (No New Testament scripture had yet been defined by the Church.)

4. 2Thessalonians 2:15 “So then, brethren, stand firm and hold to the traditions which you were taught by us, either by word of mouth or by letter. ” Gee … I always thought they were all just man made traditions … but some (many) came from Jesus and the Apostles.

5. Matthew 16:13 Now when Jesus came into the district of Caesare’a Philip’pi, he asked his disciples, “Who do men say that the Son of man is?” Mat 16:14 And they said, “Some say John the Baptist, others say Eli’jah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” Mat 16:15 He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Mat 16:16 Simon Peter replied, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” Mat 16:17 And Jesus answered him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jona! For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven. Mat 16:18 And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the powers of death shall not prevail against it. Mat 16:19 I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” What? Jesus originally said these words in Aramaic. Not Greek. So, Saint Peter really is “the Rock” …  and not just the Protestant’s favorite “little pebble”.

6. Revelation 14:13 And I heard a voice from heaven saying, “Write this: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord henceforth.” “Blessed indeed,” says the Spirit, “that they may rest from their labors, for their deeds follow them!” What? Their deeds follow them? I taught (for nine years) that works are of no value.

7. Romans 10:14 But how are men to call upon him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without a preacher? Rom 10:15 And how can men preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach good news!” Sent? Well I was sent by so and so  … but who sent him???

8. John 15:4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. John 6:56 He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me, and I in him. These 2 verses go together. OK I will abide in Him. How do I abide in Him? What? Through the Holy Eucharist? You mean it is not (just) a symbol? It’s the real presence of Jesus Christ!

9. Colossians 1:24 Now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and in my flesh I complete what is lacking in Christ’s afflictions for the sake of his body, that is, the church. What? His Body is the Church and He needs us to complete what is lacking? (God kindly remembers to include the good works and prayers of the faithful, in his ongoing plan for our salvation.)

10. Luke 1:46 And Mary said, “My soul magnifies the Lord, Luke 1:47 and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, Luke 1:48 for he has regarded the low estate of his handmaiden. For behold, henceforth all generations will call me blessed. What? I never gave Mary much of a thought, except at Christmas … and I never called her blessed.

“Murder on a massive scale”

CHINA, January 20, 2011 (LifeSiteNews.com) – By funneling tens of millions of dollars to organizations such as the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), which support China’s brutal One Child Policy, the United States and other Western countries are “accomplices” to “murder on a massive scale,” said the Director of China Aid in an interview this week.

State-sanctioned infanticide

America has death camps. This is the heinous reality liberal elites have been trying to conceal. A Philadelphia abortion doctor, Kermit Gosnell, was arrested Wednesday along with his wife and eight other suspects. The 69-year-old abortionist is charged with causing the death of a woman during a botched abortion and also killing seven babies. Prosecutors say the infants were born alive following illegal late-term abortions and then were murdered by having their spinal cords ripped apart with scissors.

Dr. Gosnell‘s abortion clinic is a house of horrors – akin to those in Nazi Germany or Soviet Russia. Police authorities say that following a raid on his office, they found numerous bags and bottles containing aborted fetuses. They also allege that they found jars on a shelf containing the severed feet of babies.

Philadelphia’s CBS News reports that “Gosnell is suspected of killing hundreds of living babies over the course of his 30-year practice.” If true, Dr. Gosnell is not only a baby killer but a mass murderer – the Josef Mengele of our time.

“My body will be here,” the girl told him. “But I’ll be away until Sunday.”

They were not just “visions,” nor mystical “travels” as many mystics have reported. During the events in Kibeho, the seers went into such a deep sleep or really coma that priests and doctors were convinced that one was dead — and began to talk of burial. There have been cases of this reported with certain mystics, but not ones associated with formal sites of apparition.

The first to experience this was also the first visionary, Alphonsine Mumureke — who is now a nun in a town about an hour from Rome. Her episode occurred during March of 1982, when the Blessed Mother invited her to travel to a “special place.” It would be an “overnight trip,” she was told — with a “return” on the 17-year-old girl’s birthday.

Before they went, Our Lady supposedly warned Alphonsine to instruct the school director that while it would appear as if the girl were dead, not to bury her! — an instruction that was naturally met with stunned disbelief. “My body will be here,” the girl told him. “But I’ll be away until Sunday.” A note was also penned to the bishop.

The details of these journeys are in the book Kibeho, by Father Gabriel Maindron, and Our Lady of Kibeho, by Immaculee Ilibagiza (and Steve Erwin). Indeed, on that Saturday, March 20, Alphonsine was found lying in bed at the school dormitory, in what appeared to be a deep slumber, still fully dressed, her skin waxen, her hands neatly folded over her chest.

Philadelphia Grand Jury: No one acted because “subject was the political football of abortion.”

Regulators ignored report after report of horrific conditions at a squalid abortion clinic, prosecutors said, leaving a trail of missed chances over the years to stop a doctor from performing illegal, late-term abortions that killed at least two patients and hundreds of newborns.

The officials’ failure to follow up on complaints against Dr. Kermit Gosnell came amid a “live and let die” political climate that effectively ended inspections of all abortion clinics in Pennsylvania, according to the grand jury that indicted Gosnell.

Gosnell, 69 — a family practice physician not certified to perform abortions– was arraigned Thursday on charges of murdering seven babies and one patient. The indictment against him detailed a gruesome litany of failures and refusals to uphold even the most basic public health guidelines.

Editors note: This is the type of thing that happens when the “Culture of Death” is allowed to take over government and politics, under the guise of personal freedom and choice.

And this is only the “tip” of the iceberg! Similar types of poorly regulated, virtually uninspected “facilities” operate all around the country.

Watch how, in just a few days, this will drop off the “radar screen” and be ignored by the main stream media, while the finger pointing … and the cover up … begins!

This is a much bigger story … in every way … than the Tuscon shootings!

The poverty problem in America is not about jobs and it is not about racism.

Oseola McCarty is a 75-year-old African-American cleaning woman from Mississippi. From working all her life she accumulated enough savings to donate $150,000 to a student scholarship program at the University of Southern Mississippi. In short, a black woman, living in the most racist and poorest state in the union (almost half her life under segregation), can earn enough money washing other people’s clothes to save $150,000 and give it away. If Oseola McCarty can do that, what American cannot?

Oseola McCarty’s example tells us that the poverty problem in America is not about jobs and it is not about racism. Poverty is about individual failure. It is about family dysfunction, character disorder and self-destructive behavior. That is what Oseola McCarty’s achievement means. It is no surprise that, while most self-appointed spokesmen get tongue-tied when asked if African-Americans have gained anything from the civil rights revolution of the last 30 years, Oseola McCarty had no hesitation.

She said the world is a “much much better place” than when she was a child. So it can be for anyone liberated from the philosophy of liberalism. The new mantra would be this: Spare us from the kindness of those who would cripple us with excuses for attitudes and behaviors that can only destroy us. Keep us from the charity of those who would chain us to their benevolence with lifetime handouts. Spare us the compassion of these saviors who secretly despise us, who think that we cannot compete on our merits, or live up to the moral standards they expect of themselves. This is the creed of true equality. It just has taken me a long time to understand.

What Every Mother Needs to Know About Raising Catholic Kids

One day when I was at Mass, I suddenly and surely felt that a distinct part of the vocation of mothers is to suffer for their children. I sincerely believe that when we unite our daily sufferings to those of Jesus on the cross, our suffering can be redemptive.

Our children may be buoyed by our generosity and spirit of acceptance when they would otherwise be tempted to falter just by our offering our sufferings for them.

The more children we have the more prayers we ought to be offering, and the more willing we ought to be to accept life’s little and big crosses for them. Our children’s eternal salvation may depend on it.

I can’t help but think of good St. Monica who followed her selfish and sinful son to Rome, and then to Milan, literally hounding him with prayers. It is said that a bishop once said to a distraught Monica, “Surely a son of so many tears and prayers will not be lost.” And we all know the outcome of that story- St. Monica became a great saint, as did her son St. Augustine, who was also named a Doctor of the Church. . We would all do well to emulate the example of Saint Monica and be relentless prayer warriors for our children.

Poem: You are as young as your faith, as old as your doubt

General Douglas MacArthur was so inspired by Samuel Ullman’s poem that he popularized it and kept a framed copy in his office while Supreme Allied Commander in Japan. He quoted it so often in his speeches that it became known as “MacArthur’s Credo.”

The Poem:

Nobody grows old by merely living a number of years.
People grow old only by deserting their ideals.
Years wrinkle the skin but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles
the soul.

Worry, doubt, self-distrust, fear and despair . . .
these are the quick equivalents of the
long years that bow the head and turn
the growing spirit back to dust.

Whether 70 or 16, there is, in every being’s heart the love of
wonder, the sweet amazement of the stars, and the star-like
things and thoughts, the undaunted challenge of events,
the unfailing childlike appetite for “What Next?”

You are as young as your faith, as old as your doubt,
as young as your self-confidence, as old as your fear,
as young as your hope, as old as your despair.

So long as your heart receives messages of
beauty, cheer, courage, grandeur and power from
the earth, from man and from the Infinite,
so long are you young.

When all the wires are down, and all the
central places of your heart are covered with
the snows of pessimism and the ice of cynicism,
then, and only then, are you grown old indeed,
and may God have mercy on your soul.

Liberal women are the active, driving force behind hatred of Sarah Palin

Why does their hatred of her burn so hot?

Ask them, and they’ll most likely tell you: Because she’s a moron. But that is obviously false. To be sure, her skills at extemporaneous speaking leave much to be desired. But that can be said of a good many politicians on both sides of the aisle, including George W. Bush, John Kerry and, yes, Barack Obama. And don’t get us started on the man who defeated her for the vice presidency.

She drives them crazy.

Whether or not she is presidential timber–and we are inclined to think that she is not–there is no denying that she is a highly accomplished person. She is also a highly accomplished woman, what in an earlier age would have been called a feminist pioneer: the first female governor of the malest state in the country, the first woman on the presidential ticket of the party on the male side of the “gender gap.” Having left politics, whether temporarily or permanently, she has established herself as one of the most consequential voices in the political media.

They say she is uneducated. What they mean is that her education is not elite–not Harvard or Yale, or even Michigan or UCLA. They resent her because, in their view, she has risen above her station.

Exorcist priest speaks frankly and openly about the satanic and demonic

Sometimes people ask, “Why now?” And I say, because now there are more Catholics who are involved in paganism and idolatry, so there are a lot of people who are opening a lot of doors to the diabolical.

The occult is all about power. Now the occult is not synonymous with the Satanic, but it is a doorway.

There are also more and more Catholics, and people in general, now in this country who are involved in New Age things. With the opening of doorways to the New Age and the occult, you do not know what is behind that door; you do not know what you are tapping into most of the time.

So, are there more cases of possession? In five years, I’ve exorcised five people, whom I do believe had a demonic attachment. And I’ve prayed over others who also I think have a demonic attachment, but I’ve not done exorcisms with them.

But what is becoming very rampant is that more and more people are involved in pagan idolatry. Some of it is structured and formal, and some of it is not.

This is coupled with issues that have to do with sexual abuse; 80% of the people who come to me have been sexually abused. That is a soul wound, and a doorway for a demon.

If the soul wounds are coupled with either heavy drug use, heavy sexual perversions, sexual abuse or physical abuse, usually by a parent, a sibling or an extended family member, it becomes a recipe for an invitation for a demon.

It is not like demons just show up. You have to invite them in, or someone else invites them in for you.

Pennsylvania Department of Health deliberately chose to skip enforcement of abortion mill health laws.

“We discovered that Pennsylvania’s Department of Health has deliberately chosen not to enforce laws that should afford patients at abortion clinics the same safeguards and assurances of quality health care as patients of other medical service providers,” the report says. “Even nail salons in Pennsylvania are monitored more closely for client safety.”

“The State Legislature has charged the Department of Health (DOH) with responsibility for writing and enforcing regulations to protect health and safety in abortion clinics as well as in hospitals and other health care facilities. Yet a significant difference exists between how DOH monitors abortion clinics and how it monitors facilities where other medical procedures are performed,” the report continues.

“Indeed, the department has shown an utter disregard both for the safety of women who seek treatment at abortion clinics and for the health of fetuses after they have become viable. State health officials have also shown a disregard for the laws the department is supposed to enforce. Most appalling of all, the Department of Health’s neglect of abortion patients’ safety and of Pennsylvania laws is clearly not inadvertent: It is by design,” the report indicates.

Was John Paul II a conservative pope?

“This may be what you think: John Paul II was the conservative Pope. His pontificate was marked by a resurgent Roman Catholic traditionalism, setting the Church against liberalizing forces of all kinds. John Paul II is remembered above all for shoring up structures of the past.”

This is wrong. John Paul II boldly presided over the maturing of political and theological revolutions in Catholicism. Perhaps despite himself, he was a Pope of change, accomplishing two radical shifts — one in the Church’s attitude toward war and the other in its relationship to the Jewish people. Taken together, those represent the most significant change in Church history, and they lay the groundwork for future changes that could well go beyond what this Pope foresaw or even wanted. In each case, John Paul II brought to completion a movement that was begun by his predecessors John XXIII and Paul VI, the Popes of the Second Vatican Council.”[46]

James Carroll sees Pope John Paul II’s continuing revolution as a “maturing” of Catholic thought. Pope Saint Pius X would have seen it for what it was: Modernism in action. Likewise, Pope Pius XII would have recognized John Paul II as one of the progressivist theologians he warned against in Humani Generis “who reduce to a meaningless formula the necessity of belonging to the true Church in order to gain eternal salvation.”[47]

Some are not happy about announced beatification of the late Pope John Paul II

The Vatican has announced it will beatify Pope John Paul II in a ceremony on May 1.

The announcement is cause for consternation. This is a move to beatify the Pope who promoted a Masonic-styled pan-religious ecumenism, who effectively told the Jews they have their own Covenant independent from Christ, who kissed the Koran, who glorified in rock’n’roll and pagan inculturated liturgies, who appointed faithless and feckless bishops, whose official point-man for Protestants (Cardinal Kasper) publicly said Vatican II did away with the notion that non-Catholics need to convert, who presided over the worst clerical scandal in history, and whose consistent words and actions presented Vatican II as a radical discontinuity with Catholic Tradition.
