Archbishop John J. Myers of Newark on Obama’s new contraceptive mandates: We cannot—we will not—comply with this unjust law…

We cannot—we will not—comply with this unjust law. People of faith cannot be made second-class citizens. Editor’s note: Let’s give the bishops some time to develop their officially strategy on this very important matter. Then, it will be imperative for every one of this nation’s 10 to 20 million practicing Catholics to fully support the bishops, to the very end. As for all the rest … who knows?

  1. I’ve missed something. The Bishops were all for forcing me and every individual to buy insurance from the intra-state cartel or face fines or other penalties, assuming they were some kind of elite exempt from the law. Now that a singular annoying provision appears, far from calling for liberty or total repeal, they are all in a tizzy?

They sold me and every other American into slavery and their consciences aren’t bothered by that? Judas Iscariot at least had the decency to throw all 30 of pieces of silver back, not just one.

Except for contraception, a well formed conscience and natural law says we needed to support obamacare?
