Oh, California … and man’s inhumanity (or perhaps merely naked, wanton indifference) to man!

Welcome to the Age of ObamaCare and the Culture of Death!

A California retirement home is backing one of its nurses after she refused desperate pleas from a 911 operator to perform CPR on an elderly woman who later died, saying the nurse was following the facility’s policy.

“Is there anybody that’s willing to help this lady and not let her die,” dispatcher Tracey Halvorson says on a 911 tape released by the Bakersfield Fire Department aired by several media outlets on Sunday.

“Not at this time,” said the nurse, who didn’t give her full name and said facility policy prevented her from giving the woman medical help.

Editor’s note: Even worse is the attitude of many of the medical TV reporters … acting as if nothing out of the ordinary had occurred.  The woman’s daughter appears to think it’s OK, too. Real heroes save people’s lives, even at risk to their own life and/or limb. Heroes of the culture of death follow “company policy” in the spirit of ObamaCare. These are very sad days, indeed.

  1. Did the (now) deceased have a DNR on file with the facility? Just wondering. The post is long on rant, but possibly missing pertinent information.

BTW, I have nothing to prove in re my own pro-life beliefs and commitment. I’m just looking for a more complete picture than what is painted in the linked article.

  2. I think it was policy at Retirement Homes. This way any Nursing help needed…you need to live in a Nursing Center and NOT the Retiement Home! I do not think there are DNR files at Retirement/Senior Homes. It’s All About The Buck!!!
It is only going to get worse…..Seniors are expendable!

    • “I do not think there are DNR files at Retirement/Senior Homes.”

I can absolutely assure you, from personal experience, that your opinion is in error.

      • Mark
I can say, I do not know that information for a fact. My Mother, was a director of Nursing at 2 Nursing Homes , during her career which ended 12 years ago…..so I just made a logical guess!
I am sure if you have personal experience…you are probably CORRECT and you are due my apology! C

      • No apology necessary, Cathy.
