A meditation from the recent conclave on the Smoke of Satan and the Church

“The evil spirit of the world, the ‘mysterium iniquitatis’ (2 Thes 2:7), constantly strives to infiltrate the Church. Moreover, let us not forget the warning of the prophets of ancient Israel not to seek alliances with Babylon or with Egypt, but to follow a pure policy ‘ex fide’ trusting solely in God (cf. Is 30:1; 31:1-3; Hos 12:2) and in his covenant. Courage! Christ relieves our minds when he exclaims: ‘Have trust, I have overcome the world’ (Jn 16:33).”

  1. WND as a source for backstories on the Church? Doesn’t work for me.

    • The Vatican source was legitimate. I had never heard of that “bulletin” before. The homily was also genuine. As for WND – even a blind squirrel finds an acorn, every now and then.

      • Points taken, but there you go getting all squirrelly on me again. The old saw I learned involved a different animal.

  2. Sensational media at its most hysterical! What a load of nonsense! (I wanted to write something more explicit here but find that I just cant be bothered)

Point 1. We are beset with stories from every Conclave so why I am surprised by this latest transcript presented to us as “a Secret” and “true”? There is nothing new in this rancid debate it is just rather annoying that a cleric should put it forward . .still never let the truth get in the way of a good tale! Clerics can be as big a gossip as anyone! The notion that these secret transcripts present us with what went on behind closed doors when all are sworn (on pain of their very souls) to keep sacrosanct and remain unspoken is from any catholic view quite a bizarre one! It has come down to this I fear when I point the finger at this revealed statement and its discourse and the people that printed it and shout “LIAR”!

Point 2. Again the famous statement of Paul VI is up for grabs as it is every time a book comes out with sensational revelations. Dan Brown and his ludicrous books for example have helped overwhelm many stupid and weak willed people and led them down a road of unimaginable folly! The lunatic fringe is always ready to grab at any weird or unusual comments that are twisted from their original meaning into a hideous icon of self fulfilling fantasies! Writers it seem care only for the big money and if that leads them into atrocious sin of disbelief and greed then what is it to them?
I have earlier stated quite a bit about the statement of Paul VI and the original context it was used in. Why am I surprised now that the ignorant, the profane and the morally inept should twist the late pontiffs words yet again?
AFTER ALL THE APOCLYPSE IS A FAVOURITE FOR MANY A STUPID WRITER TO UNDERSTAND THE SERCRETS OF THE UNIVERSE!! SO WHY NOT WHAT A POPE SAID?
The wickedest thing of all is that the only person left laughing at this obscene folly is Lucifer himself!

Point 3. Aimed at our readers, and Mark and Doug here. Firstly the Father of Lies, the Satan, The devil ALWAYS tempts the faithful with little acorns of truth .. .hence the road to Hell is PAVED with good intentions! Squirrels are lovely fluffy creatures that forage and store the nuts away . .but not given to being Gods cleverest animals.
Evil and Ignorance with woeful stupidity are all brothers (sister as well I suppose? all are about intellectual and spiritual slavery) Darkness is often bathed in light and honey is far more seductive than gruel. So when we hear or read of statements and clerics that support (directly or indirectly such as in this article) what we know is just intellectually inferior and morally bankrupt, to say nothing of its sinful connotations towards the Authority of the Conclave, the Pope or even the Vatican (yes I appreciate there are many things wrong with the Vatican staff etc but it has many good people working there . .”many good people” and there is no secret society therein working to worship satan! For heavens sake!!) we should do well to treat it as the written “garbage” that it is!

    • Pretty much why I couldn’t get much past the “WND” sourcing. It is “Christian.” Not Catholic. And Joe Farrah has shown himself more than once to be quite anti-Catholic.
