“Communion for adulterers”—particularly celebrity, public adulterers—is an already well established practice and a grave institutional scandal that leads straight to the doors of the offending chanceries (i.e. most chanceries) and to the Vatican itself. Shall we now question communion for “legal” murderers—abortionists, war criminals, etc.—and their enablers? Oh, wait…that’s also common practice in our churches.
