A useful tip for properly interpreting the Bible

“If it happens that the authority of Sacred Scripture is set in opposition to clear and certain reasoning this must mean that the person who interprets Scripture does not understand it correctly. It is not the meaning of Scripture which is opposed to the truth, but the meaning which he has wanted to give to it. That which is opposed to Scripture is not what is in Scripture but what he has placed there himself, believing that this is what Scripture meant.” -St. Augustine

The Judgment of God in History

In the era of the corona virus, everyone is talking about all sorts of things, but there are certain topics that remain forbidden, above all in the Catholic world. The primary forbidden topic is that of judgment and divine retribution in history. The fact of this censure is a good reason for us to consider the argument.

This talk by historian Robert De Mattei
should be required reading for every Catholic.

…De Mattei argued that God sends mankind chastisements in the form of “war, plague, and famine” because of sin and to call mankind back to God. He described the infinite justice of God, and what this means, not only for individuals, but for nations. Every person faces his particular judgement at the moment of death, but there will also be a second judgement at the end of time. This will be the universal judgement at which every human action, idea, and society that has ever been “will be perfectly and clearly judged.”

Editor’s note: Catholics have real-time recourse to divine forgiveness in the Sacrament of Reconciliation, but Nations do not. Hence, individual Catholics might escape divine retribution for their sins, but Nations most likely, will not.

Announcing the “Honk for Jesus Campaign”

It’s time for the faithless, gutless incompetents who are running the Catholic Church to finally wake up and do their jobs!

Starting this week, and on every subsequent Sunday, until regular Masses resume, drive to church so as to arrive at your usual Mass time, park in the lot and repeatedly honk your horn for an hour or so, until somebody comes out to see what you’re up to.

If somebody comes out, tell him you’re a faithful Catholic, suffering from spiritual starvation and that you require immediate sustenance, in the form of the Holy Eucharist.

If nobody comes out, or if the police come by (which is probably what will happen) respectfully remain in place, praying and honking, until the time your regular Sunday Mass would have let out. Only then, should you depart.

Repeat, for all future weeks, as necessary,
until regular Sunday Mass resumes.

At least, God will know that you tried!

Of course, you’ll want to enlist all your parishioners and friends in the campaign, as well.

After all, it’s CHURCH!

Behold the image of the beast

Revelation 13:15  And it was given him to give life to the image of the beast: and that the image of the beast should speak: and should cause that whosoever will not adore the image of the beast should be slain.

In local news:

…The bishops have been working with our state government as to what needs to be done in order to worship, while still maintaining safety. What needs to be done is very detailed and extensive. The plan which was sent out to the parishes is 46 pages long.

In order to open, each parish must be certified by the Diocese. Some of the things that must done are: submitting floor plans of the church for limited seating and where each person will sit, floor plans showing how parishioners will enter and exit the church and how they will receive Communion, have a reservation system in place to insure that only the maximum number of allowed people come to Mass, use of temperature guns and have proper cleaning and sanitizing equipment, just to name a few. Every volunteer must be trained and watch a webinar(s).

All of this must be in place for Phase 1 which includes Baptisms, Reconciliation, Weddings, and Funerals. Phase 1A adds private prayer and adoration. Please note: ALL OF THE ABOVE MUST BE DONE FOR 10 PEOPLE MAX IN ATTENDANCE. Public Masses are still NOT allowed.

All of this is working towards Phase 2 which will allow for Masses with larger groups, DEPENDING on the guidelines set forth by the State of XXXXX and the seating capacity of each church.

Vatican Exclusive: New complaint department to be headed by a woman?

Rumors have it that Ms. Helen Byrne has been named to head a new, Vatican complaint department, which will serve as an “umbrella” site, consolidating virtually every type of complaint, including child abuse, heretical clerics, financial crimes, liturgical abuse, idolatrous worship and more, under a single, all encompassing Church authority.

The source of all the speculation is a recent comment by Pope Francis, where he was (reportedly) heard to say that if anybody has a problem with the Church, or with his papacy, they should simply, go to Helen Byrne.

The Vatican has not confirmed this story.

A must read: Father Leonardo makes an impassioned plea.

….Look brothers. God wants nothing more to do with this “Church”.  He is vomiting it from His mouth, this “beautiful church of the Council,” as someone called it. The beautiful church of the Council. God wants nothing more to do with it.

And is destroying it covering it with ridicule. A church that no longer preaches the truth, does not put God in first place. A church that gives communion to remarried divorcees, which admits homosexuality and all the vices.

What will God do with such a church?

With a church which tells you, “You can do whatever you want.”

What will God do with such a church?

It is as if a cop tell the thief, “You can steal is not a crime.” To the drug dealer: “You can do it is not a crime.” To the mafioso: “You can do anything you want is not a crime.”

But a cop like that: what’s the use of him if a cop doesn’t pull out his gun to defend the innocent and fight the wicked. What’s the use of this cop?

But think brothers, really think. Will everything go back to the way it was?

No, no, we are in the midst of the end times. We are in the midst of an great sign.

God is destroying this beautiful church of the council to rebuild the true church the church of tradition, the church of Latin, the church of true spirituality, the church of holy doctrine, the church of the true magisterium and not all the nonsense that we have to listen to every morning.

The Church of Padre Pio, and of all the Saints.

Padre Pio! Padre Pio!  If Padre Pio returned to life, what would he say?

He would immediately die of heat attack again. But first he would have the time to say the two words, that he repeats in his life in the moments of his holy wrath. He was want to use these words. He would say two words. Get out of here! You butchers of the body of Christ! Get out of here! This would Padre Pio say.

So, brothers we must start again, As the spider does day after day with aristocratic detachment and perseverance. We must we must convert to tradition, to Latin, to the true spirituality to the holy doctrine, to the true magisterium, to the Saints.

This is direction of our conversion, pushing ourselves towards the divine things, throwing upwards the anchor of our salvation and of our hope and the tenacious threads of faith, and of a love that does not surrender.

Upwards towards heavenly things! not towards the earth.

Will Chicago’s activist Mayor go after the Navy’s Blue Angels for violating social distancing norms?

The Navy’s Blue Angels flew over Chicago today, to honor first responders and other essential workers, who have been in the forefront of the battle against the Covid-19 pandemic.

Separation maintained between the aircraft is typically only 18 to 36 inches, far short of the government mandated social distancing of 72 inches. But, all the pilots were reportedly, wearing masks.

There has (yet) been no comment from Chicago’s Mayor, or from the Governor.

Why watching Mass on TV is so unsatisfying

Watching Mass on TV
is a lot like a beggar
who hasn’t had a good meal in days,
peering through the window of a gourmet restaurant,
watching a feast.
