His son Erik, Executive Director of the Chicago-based pro-life organization, said “He marched with Dr. King in 1965, and the impact it had on him was to see that regular people can have a real impact in the cause of justice, and thus, he decided to recruit regular Americans to the fight, in favor of life and against abortion.”
Editor’s Note: I had the privilege of meeting Joe Scheidler and his wonderful family several times over several years, at the Washington D.C. March for Life. Joe is a genuine hero, a courageous individual and a man of true faith in God.
