The annual Youth Rally and Mass for Life in Washington, D.C. has been cancelled for 2023.

Editor’s note: The Youth Rally and the Mass for Life have always been two of the most powerful highlights of the annual March for Life, in Washington, D.C.

Compared to the March itself, which is laudable, the Mass, held the night before the March, at the magnificent Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, is where the real power is, was and always will be.

I suspect that the devil, for a very long time now, has also fully appreciated that fact.

Washington Archbishop Wilton Gregory has recently announced the cancelation of both the rally and the mass.

I doubt much will really change, since there are other places to hold the mass and plenty of space in Washington, D.C. for the youth to rally, but this particular “diocesan abortion” is a great scandal for the Catholic Church and for Abp. Gregory, personally.

The real question for the Archbishop is, “Why?”

  1. Plz!!!! Give me reason #1 for any concern WRT this cancellation. Not that the latter merited any concellation at all.

Any and all such events are compromised ab ovo). I take nothing from “the vatican” seriously these days: let alone into the future.
