Absent true conversion to an abiding faith in Jesus Christ, the abominations in and around Israel will probably never end.

“…And so if you come to Palestine and settle your people there,
we will be ready with churches and priests to baptize all of you.”

I’m with Pope St. Pius X.

The Holy Land, sanctified by the Life, shed Blood of Christ, and His Resurrection, belongs to us.

We, the Church, the Body and Bride of Christ, all of the baptized, WE are Israel. Ergo, ultimately, and ontologically, the Holy Land is ours.

Muslim fundamentalists claim that the Koran condemns music as being satanic. This may provide the false justification they needed for Hamas’ Rave Massacre.

Observation: Today’s clerics often tend to be more Lutheran and Calvinist than truly Catholic.

Martin Luther

Many speak of the need for the Church to be more effective in her welcome and inclusion of those who who either do not know her or are alienated from her (or, very often, both at once). But this preoccupation is meaningless unless the speaker has a clear understanding of who Christ is and what He demands, and therefore of “who” the Church is, and what the Church demands. In this context, the constant hand-wringing about the hot-button issues in the world—from sexual sin to natural ecology to war and other forms of human suffering—becomes utterly profitless unless the mission of the Church is understood to offer the incomparable gift of a repentant conversion into union with Jesus Christ.

The Church, for all that she is the custodian of the natural law, does not exist to proclaim the brotherhood of man without the repentance of man as the key movement of man’s growing union with God through Jesus Christ.

It is Christ alone who is the way, the truth and the life—a Person who is made known to us, and whose life we receive by repentance, most fully within the visible Church. Without this startling claim, the Church is simply another NGO. And, sadly, in our time it too often seems that this is all she really wants to be.

An act of faith, a relic of Saint Jude and a miracle

“We asked St. Jude himself to visit Noreen and touch her,” Father Martins said. “I said, Jude, I need you to go there. I need you to do something.”

That next day, as Father Martins was on the road and about an hour away from beginning the relic tour, he answered that ringing phone.

Implications Of A CIA Pope

“Pope Francis” is not the star of the show. No, the real mover and shaker of this entire spectacle is the Deep State. It is they who are the real protagonist in this drama. They are the prime mover responsible for making all of this happen. Without their meddling, the Catholic world would not be in the awful state it is in today.

The non-canonically elected man in the Vatican is just a symptom. The secret armies, the princes of this world, the principalities and powers that our Lord warned us about are manifested in the Deep State. Right now, at this moment in history, they are the beginning and the end of most of our troubles.

Would it surprise you to know that Francis’ Vatican has endorsed each of the following statements?

Early child-bearing continues to be an impediment to improvements in the educational, economic and social status of women in all parts of the world. Overall, for young women early marriage and early motherhood can severely curtail educational and employment opportunities and are likely to have a long-term, adverse impact on the quality of their lives and the lives of their children.

Prevention of unwanted pregnancies must always be given the highest priority and every attempt should be made to eliminate the need for abortion.

Unsafe abortions threaten the lives of a large number of women.

WORLD — The Federal Bureau of Investigation has placed God on its watch list after discovering a troubling history of extreme pro-life comments.

Just a reminder…

Impurity Blinds The Mind And Hardens The Heart.

David and Bathsheba

…even though the adulterer may escape the punishment of death, he does not escape the great pains and torments that often overtake such sins as his. He becomes afflicted with blindness of mind, a most severe punishment; he is lost to all regard for God, for reputation, for honor, for family, and even for life; and thus, utterly abandoned and worthless, he is undeserving of confidence in any matter of moment, and becomes unfitted to discharge any kind of duty.

Of this we find examples in the persons of David and of Solomon. David had no sooner fallen into the crime of adultery than he degenerated into a character the very reverse of what he had been before; from the mildest of men he became so cruel as to consign to death Urias, one of his most deserving subjects. (2 Kings 11; 12). Solomon, having abandoned himself to the lust of women, gave up the true religion to follow strange gods. (3 Kings 11). This sin, therefore, as Osee observes, takes away man’s heart and often blinds his understanding. (Osee 4:11).

Today’s “Gem” from Bob Stanley’s “The Catholic Treasure Chest”: The Canon of Sacred Scripture.

For the first 300 years of Christianity, there was no Bible as we know it today.

Christians had the Old Testament Septuagint, and literally hundreds of other books from which to choose.
The Catholic Church realized early on that she had to decide which of these books were inspired and which ones weren’t.

The debates raged between theologians, Bishops, and Church Fathers, for several centuries as to which books were inspired and which ones weren’t. In the meantime, several Church Councils or Synods, were convened to deal with the matter, notably, Rome in 382, Hippo in 393, and Carthage in 397 and 419. The debates sometimes became bitter on both sides.

One of the most famous was between St. Jerome, who felt the seven books were not canonical, and St. Augustine who said they were.

Protestants who write about this will invariably mention St. Jerome and his opposition, and conveniently omit the support of St. Augustine.

I must point out here that Church Father’s writings are not infallible statements, and their arguments are merely reflections of their own private opinions. When some say St. Jerome was against the inclusion of the seven books, they are merely showing his personal opinion of them.

Everyone is entitled to his own opinion. However, A PERSONS PRIVATE OPINION DOES NOT CHANGE THE TRUTH AT ALL. There are always three sides to every story, this side, that side, and the side of truth. Whether Jerome’s position, or Augustine’s position was the correct position, it had to be settled by a third party, and that third party was the Catholic Church.

Now the story had a dramatic change, as the Pope stepped in to settle the matter. In concurrence with the opinion of St. Augustine, and being prompted by the Holy Spirit, Pope St. Damasus I, at the Council of Rome in 382, issued a decree appropriately called, “The Decree of Damasus”, in which he listed the canonical books of both the Old and New Testaments. He then asked St. Jerome to use this canon and to write a new Bible translation which included an Old Testament of 46 books, which were all in the Septuagint, and a New Testament of 27 books.

ROME HAD SPOKEN, THE ISSUE WAS SETTLED.

“THE CHURCH RECOGNIZED ITS IMAGE IN THE INSPIRED BOOKS OF THE BIBLE. THAT IS HOW IT DETERMINED THE CANON OF SCRIPTURE.” – Fr. Ken Baker

Tourist suffering from a disorder that psychiatrists have labeled “The Jerusalem Syndrome” allegedly smashed Israeli antiquities

JERUSALEM (AP) — Israeli police have arrested an American tourist at the Israel Museum in Jerusalem after he hurled works of art to the floor, defacing two second-century Roman statues.

The vandalism late Thursday raised questions about the safety of Israel’s priceless collections and stirred concern about a rise in attacks on cultural heritage in Jerusalem.

Police identified the suspect as a radical 40-year-old Jewish American tourist and said initial questioning suggested he smashed the statues because he considered them “to be idolatrous and contrary to the Torah.”

We’ve seen this evil “Synodal Sell-Out” before, under many different names

A fearful example of this sell-out may be seen in the “pastoral” councils and congresses of recent years─an updated kind of “robber councils” of lay persons and clerics, approved and attended by the national hierarchies for the furtherance of “renewal” or revolution.

Among the most notorious have been those of Holland and America (the Detroit “Call to Action”), and (in 1980) Liverpool.

At this latest festival of loquacity and pop-theology the participants (hand-picked Modernists, of course) called for the scrapping among other things, of considerable portions of the moral law (God’s eternal law).

At the end of it all, the bishops got up and effusively thanked and congratulated the pastoral freebooters.
