The Foundation of Israel in 1948 … Prophecy fulfilled?

Q: The Foundation of Israel in 1948 … Prophecy fulfilled?

A: Many would think so, and many have gone to great lengths to make it so, but the fact remains that the artificially reconstituted modern day nation of Israel has little in common with the original “Chosen People” of God … except for their continuing persecution of Christians.

Fact is, all the promises God made to Israel were kept when he conducted them into the promised land, gave them their sovereignty, and eventually their Messiah, Jesus Christ.

God “owes” them nothing more.

The Christian Church is now the “People of God” in the world, heir to all the promises of Christ … and the only “holy nation” worth being part of … for Jew and Gentile, alike.

Q: Are you prepared if the end times happen in your life time?

Q: Are you prepared if the end times happen in your life time?

I believe that most people don’t think the end times will happen in their lifetime. How do they know that? Even Jesus doesn’t know the date and time. We have been in the beginning of the end times since 1948, when Israel became a nation. We are closer to Jesus breaking the first seal than we realize, and people are not prepared. Most churches are not preparing their congregations like they should be. How will you endure the anti christ if you do not know your bible. It is not enough to just believe in Jesus Christ as your lord and savior. You have to know your bible to not be fooled.

A: Since everyone is sure to experience death, OR to experience the 2nd coming, OR possibly even both … we should always be prepared.

That’s the whole purpose of our participation in the Church.

I wouldn’t be too sure about 1948 and Israel being any type of a definite “mark” of the end times, though.

St. Peter’s definition of the “last days” as delivered on Pentecost, under the direct inspiration of the Holy Spirit, is a bit broader than yours:

Act 2:14 But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all [ye] that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words:
Act 2:15 For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is [but] the third hour of the day.
Act 2:16 But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;

Act 2:17 And it shall come to pass in the last days,

saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:
Act 2:18 And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:
Act 2:19 And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:
Act 2:20 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come:
Act 2:21 And it shall come to pass, [that] whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Act 2:22 Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:
Act 2:23 Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:
Act 2:24 Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it.

The “last days” began on Pentecost, and nobody knows when Jesus will return.

Those who believe that Israel’s reemergence has something to do with it have been consistently wrong since at least 1967, and they are still “revising” their false prophesies, to suit.

Better to concentrate on the grace, truth, and love of Jesus, than to wildly speculate about that which no man can know … at least until the authentic and unmistakeable “signs” appear.

Only one thing’s for sure … anti-christ comes first, deceiving the whole world.

Then tribulation.

Then the real Jesus returns.

And when the real Jesus comes again, nobody will be able to mistake his coming for anything else.

What did Jesus say we should do?

Luk 21:35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.
Luk 21:36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
