Forty Days for Life: Banned by the Archbishop in Adelaide Australia!

40daysNO

The Adelaide Archdiocese under Archbishop Philip Wilson, former President of the Australian Bishops Conference, is a strange, ultra-liberal place.

A place, apparently, where parishes are not even allowed to publicise pro-life activities such as the upcoming 40 Days for Life campaign, lest anyone be offended at being told that abortion is murder.

Planned Parenthood “tumbling down”

toppled toppled

A photo of the sign at the Planned Parenthood abortion business Abby Johnson used to manage is making the round of the Internet.

The abortion giant closed the Bryan-College Station, Texas abortion clinic and no one is more happy about the news than Abby herself — who tweeted and Facebooked the picture.

Johnson said: “The Planned Parenthood sign at my former clinic has come down!! It is really closed. I don’t think it has become real for me yet. No more women will walk into that facility to be harmed again. No more children will die inside those walls.”

Before the Rally even started, God gave an incredible blessing. A couple stopped on their way out of the Planned Parenthood and told our sidewalk counselors that they had decided not to go through with the abortion. Though the 40 Days Campaign hadn’t even started yet, God was already doing wondrous things!

40 Days for Life sidewalk counselor arrested on orders from Chicago’s Planned Parenthood

As a group of us were assembled to pray during the 40 Days for Life vigil taking place outside the Albany Medical Surgical Center abortion facility in Chicago, we were taken by surprise when Albany manager Diana Maracick angrily walked right through the middle of our prayer group on her way into the clinic.

Shortly afterward, four police cars arrived. Apparently, Diana had called the police because one of our sidewalk counselors, 64-year old Anna Marie Mesia, had been standing in the public alley adjacent to the Albany facility, talking to a client in the parking lot.

By this time the police arrived, Anna Marie had left the alley, walked past the prayer group, and was standing near the other entrance to Albany’s parking lot along Elston Avenue.

The police approached her, told her she was under arrest, ordered her to place her hands behind her back, and handcuffed her. In obvious discomfort, she was then placed in a squad car.

Her crime? Supposedly, Anna Marie had violated Chicago’s “bubble zone” ordinance.

“For all the law is fulfilled in one word: Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.”

I had my Rosary in my hand. Immediately a car drove into the parking lot and parked beside me. Inside were four Hispanic women, with a 1-year-old baby. While the Planned Parenthood employees were ascending the outdoor stairwell, they made very loud growling noises as if to keep me from speaking to the family in the car, but it didn’t distract the Hispanic women. I showed the three adult daughters and their mom my Rosary and 40 Days Flyer, and briefly told them: “I am here praying for everyone who comes to Planned Parenthood.”

40 Days for Life update – Downers Grove, IL

40 Days for Life has begun and so have the miracles. No babies have been saved yet but a few special things have happened at our corner. A huge rainbow adorned the sky as people prayed the Rosary at the end of the day on Thursday. On Wednesday, a prayer volunteer received a very special phone call from a man while she prayed in front of the clinic. She needed to drop off paperwork to him but when she got there he said he had never called her. As long as she was there, she thought she would give him some Divine Mercy material. He was so happy to receive it and told her she was a sign from Jesus because He sent her there seeing that he didn’t ask her to come. Little miracles everyday bless the people who come out to pray.

Thanks to all who have signed up! We could use a few more people to sign up on Thursdays and Fridays. Please consider taking a time that you could possibly do once a week for the remaining 5 weeks. Why not call a friend to join you so you could double your prayer power? Please make sure that you come for the time that you have reserved. If you cannot keep your time, please let us know. We need someone there for every hour and please, try to be on time so the person before you is not inconvenienced.

On a sad note, someone mentioned, that a young man brought his girl friend into the clinic on Thursday and then he came back out and said that his girlfriend had an abortion 2 weeks ago and had to come back because “They didn’t get it all”. Think about this and please keep her in your prayers.

Again, thank you for being there. The moms see you, the workers see you, the drivers see you but most importantly of all, our All Loving God sees you and He smiles.

Blessings. prayers and love,

Your 40 Days Team

Big abortion shake up in UK as Helpers of God’s Precious Infants and 40 Days for Life begin European operations.

In Maidstone, police arrived to tell the group to remain on the other side of the street from the clinic. While two of the protesters engaged in an animated conversation with the officers, denying they were obstructing or harassing clients, a car with two women who had left the clinic accelerated at high speed and veered precariously close to the protest before driving on.

Reilly appeared unmoved by the suggestion he and his supporters were upsetting women already in the midst of a difficult personal experience.

“If you are upset because you are about to kill your child, because someone is outside praying, well thanks be to God that they are upset because maybe they will change their mind, keep their child and thank us later,” he told the Guardian.

Backing him are three bishops from the British Catholic hierarchy who have endorsed the vigils carried out by the Helpers of God’s Previous Infants, including Thomas McMahon, the bishop of Brentwood.

40 Days for Life credited with a number of “amazing saves”

Orange County, California

Prayer volunteers at the 40 Days for Life vigil in Orange County were caught by surprise as the doors of the abortion center flew open and a frightened young woman literally ran out as fast as she could … barefoot!

A young man came out looking for her. The barefoot runner was his girlfriend, and she was there for an abortion.

Eventually, she was found nearby, and vigil participants offered to get her something to eat. When they sat down  to their meal, the young woman told her story. She was six months pregnant and was already on the table at the abortion center. She had an IV and was in the process of being sedated. But she was still alert enough to realize she simply couldn’t go through with it.

“God’s grace poured into her heart,” said one of the 40 Days for Life volunteers. The young woman found the strength and courage to remove the needle from her arm, to quickly get dressed (except for her shoes!) and run out to safety.

“Our prayers from outside helped her get that courage to leave the table and run away,” said the volunteer. “I realized how important our role is.”

A reflection by Carmen Pate, 40 Days for Life

When a former abortionist and post-abortive woman, Carol Everett, was asked what turned her heart from death to life in Christ, she replied, “It was unconditional love” shown by a man who prayed daily for her in front of the facility where she worked.

He told Carol that “God had sent him” because there was someone in there that God wanted out. She left 27 days later and now serves as Christ’s ambassador to help others. We too have been sent by Christ as an ambassador to love unconditionally those God seeks to “get out” of their bondage and sin.

In his book, “Fishers of Men,” Dr. Sumner Wemp describes what it means to be an ambassador of Christ, the King of Kings:

  • God has chosen us (John 15:16)
  • We are sent into a world that is not our home (1 Peter 2:11)
  • Our walk must match our talk (1 Timothy 3:7)
  • We must abide in Him for daily instruction (John 15:5)
  • Know our purpose — to seek and to save that which is lost (Luke 19:10)
  • We are to reconcile others to God with His authority (Matthew 28:19-20)
  • Our service is to be grounded and rooted in love (Ephesians 3:17)

Pray that we each will walk worthy of the calling with which we were called!

PRAYER
—————————————————–

Dear Heavenly Father, we are humbled that you have called us and appointed us to be ambassadors of Christ in a world that is not our home. It is a calling much higher and grander than our finite minds can imagine.

We pray that your Holy Spirit will empower us to walk worthy of the calling. We pray that You unconditional love will flow through us onto those who desperately need Your saving grace. In the name of Christ who is worthy, Amen.

40 Days for Life Prayer Campaign Helps Save 534 Babies from Abortion

babyInBlanket

After 40 days of prayer outside abortion clinics throughout the country, 534 babies have so far been reportedly saved from abortion and eight employees have left the industry.

“Together we have witnessed God accomplishing amazing miracles through His faithful people, and I really believe that we are witnessing the beginning of the end of abortion in our land,” said David Bereit, national director of the annual 40 Days for Life campaign.

This year, 40 Days for Life events were held in 212 cities across the states as well as in Canada and Denmark. Participants held peaceful prayer vigils and held signs reading “Pray to End Abortion” and “Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you. –God.”

40 Days For Life Begins February 17!

40 Days for Life is a community-based campaign that draws attention to the evil of abortion through the use of a three-point program:

  • Prayer and fasting
  • Constant vigil
  • Community outreach

40 Days for Life takes a determined, peaceful approach to showing local communities the consequences of abortion in their own neighborhoods, for their own friends and families. It puts into action a desire to cooperate with God in the carrying out of His plan for the end of abortion in America.

The 40-day campaign tracks Biblical history, where God used 40-day periods to transform individuals, communities … and the entire world. From Noah in the flood to Moses on the mountain to the disciples after Christ’s resurrection, it is clear that God sees the transformative value of His people accepting and meeting a 40-day challenge.

Vision and mission

40 Days for Life is a focused pro-life campaign with a vision to access God’s power through prayer, fasting, and peaceful vigil to end abortion in America.

The mission of the campaign is to bring together the body of Christ in a spirit of unity during a focused 40 day campaign of prayer, fasting, and peaceful activism, with the purpose of repentance, to seek God’s favor to turn hearts and minds from a culture of death to a culture of life, thus bringing an end to abortion in America.
