Planned Parenthood “tumbling down”

A photo of the sign at the Planned Parenthood abortion business Abby Johnson used to manage is making the round of the Internet.

The abortion giant closed the Bryan-College Station, Texas abortion clinic and no one is more happy about the news than Abby herself — who tweeted and Facebooked the picture.

Johnson said: “The Planned Parenthood sign at my former clinic has come down!! It is really closed. I don’t think it has become real for me yet. No more women will walk into that facility to be harmed again. No more children will die inside those walls.”

It’s not about you, Bishop Zurek … or even about Father Pavone. It’s about saving babies!

Fr. Frank is the reason I am where I am today…emotionally and spiritually.  He has given me guidance and direction that I couldn’t find from anyone else.  I am not a particularly emotional person.  The first time I heard Fr. Frank speak at an event about clinic workers, I wept.  How could he see inside my heart?  How did he know my thoughts?  Because this is his life. He isn’t just in this for the children; he is in this for people like me, too…the wounded, the broken, the angry, the scarred.

I look at how abortion has crept into our Christian culture and see thousands of clergy who are scared to defend our unborn children.  And then I see Fr. Frank.  He is a man who is always ready to speak the truth.  A man who is always ready to stand up for what is right.  He is a man of courage.  I am proud to stand by him during this time of trial.

When Abby Johnson quit her Planned Parenthood career, she didn’t expect to receive more criticism from people in the pro-life camp than from those who are pro-choice.

The infighting has been her biggest surprise since joining the pro-life movement, she says.

“There are all these different facets of the movement [that] just argue constantly and that has been really disheartening for me,” Johnson says. “People ask me if I’ve been hit hard by pro-choicers, and I say no, I’ve been hit hard by pro-lifers.”

Abby Johnson: New memoir explaining why she left abortion industry and why she’s becoming Catholic.

College Station, Texas, Jan 13, 2011 / 06:05 am (CNA).- Despite legal challenges and personal attacks from Planned Parenthood, Abby Johnson has published a new memoir explaining why she left the abortion industry to join the ranks of the pro-life movement. Going even further, she’s also rejected contraception, and decided to enter the Catholic Church.

Johnson’s new book, “UnPlanned,” hit stores on Jan. 11, 2011, one day after the Texas-based activist addressed more than 20,000 listeners in an online broadcast. The Catholic publisher Ignatius Press has released a special edition of the book, with extra material including a foreword by Fr. Frank Pavone of Priests For Life.

Gruesome Reason Planned Parenthood Director Decided To Quit

… this particular physician, for whatever reason, chose to do an ultrasound-guided procedure on this patient and called me in the room to assist, which was not something I usually did as director.

But I did go in to assist, and my job was to hold the ultrasound probe on the woman’s abdomen during the procedure so he could visualize the uterus during the abortion.

What I saw during the procedure was so gruesome to me, and something I had never experienced before, that I just thought, “I’ll never do this again.”

On Saturday’s Huckabee show on FNC, host Mike Huckabee interviewed the former executive director of a Planned Parenthood clinic in Bryan Texas, Abby Johnson, who became a pro-life activist after witnessing an ultrasound of an abortion while she assisted in a procedure.

She charged that the abortion provider tries to “increase the number of abortions they do” for the purpose of making money, and described the emotional experience of watching an unborn baby at 13 weeks pregnancy “trying to get away” as its life was being ended. Video of the interview can be found here.

Johnson: “I saw the probe going into the woman’s uterus. And at that moment, I saw the baby moving and trying to get away from the probe. … And I thought, ‘It’s fighting for its life.’ And I thought, ‘It’s life, I mean, it’s alive.'”
