New Pope is sensitive to Jewish concerns.

Under his leadership in Buenos Aires, Cardinal Jorge Bergoglio made important strides in maintaining positive Catholic-Jewish relations following the transformational papacies of Pope John Paul II and Pope Benedict XVI – pontiffs who launched historic reconciliation between the Catholic Church and the Jewish people.

Cardinal Bergoglio maintained a close relationship with the Jewish community in Argentina.  He has celebrated various Jewish holidays with the Argentinian Jewish community, including Chanukah where he lit a candle on the menorah, attended a Buenos Aires synagogue for Slichot, a pre-Rosh Hashana service, the Jewish New Year, as well as a commemoration of Kristallnacht, the wave of violent Nazi attacks against Jews before World War II.

In 2010, during a commemoration of the 1994 bombing, Cardinal Bergoglio called it “a house of solidarity” and added “God bless them and help them accomplish their work,” which showed his dedication and support in standing up against extremism.

In 2010, he together with Argentinian Rabbi Abraham Skorka, published the book “On Heaven and Earth” addressing issues of interfaith dialogue.

Abe Foxman and the anti-Christian, pro abortion, pro-homosexual, pro-pornography, hate crime promoting ADL: Why?

What is ADL’s ultimate objective?

National director Abraham H. Foxman, author of Never Again? The Threat of the New Anti-Semitism, is a devout Orthodox Jew. In 1991, he angrily vacated his seat in the Orthodox synagogue of Teaneck, New Jersey, because he felt its members and leadership were not praying for Israel as passionately as they should! (15) Foxman says he earnestly looks forward to Israel’s Biblically prophesied “messiah.” Christians know this is not Jesus Christ but that prophesied “man of sin” (John 5:43) whom Jesus said Jews would someday accept in place of Himself. Contemporary Jewish activists, like Foxman, think “the messiah is the Jewish people”— i.e., when Jewish power finally ascends over Christians and Gentiles, Jewish power by itself will make “messiah” happen.

Why does Foxman promote homosexuality, same-sex marriage, pornography (he gave pornographers Hugh and Christy Hefner special “free speech” awards)? (16) Why do ADL and other Jewish “civil liberties” groups, such as the ACLU (17), Southern Poverty Law Center, People for the American Way, etc., do all they can to tear down our crosses, Ten Commandments, manger scenes, Christian symbols (18) and passionately support the killing of 50 million babies through abortion? For that matter, why did the Jewish forefathers of these Jewish supremacists invent and facilitate Communism and socialism (liberalism)—dedicated to breaking down the capitalist free enterprise system? (19) Why does Jewish-dominated media (20) relentlessly corrupt our morals and those of our children, casting aspersions (as in the Da Vinci Code) on the deity and legitimacy of Christ? (21)

Editor’s note: It’s not anti Semitic or discriminatory to oppose those who actively work to destroy the moral fabric of the United States … even if some of those individuals claim to be Jewish. Corruption and moral degradation … whatever the source … should always be vigorously opposed by Christians. This is not bigotry or discrimination. It’s common sense!

ADL’s Foxman insults the memory of Pope Pius XII, takes offense at Benedict’s remarks

According to the recent ADL press release:

Anti-Defamation League (ADL) today renewed its call for the opening of the complete Vatican archives on the Second World War following remarks by Pope Benedict XVI calling his predecessor, Pope Pius XII, a “great, righteous” man who “saved more Jews than anyone else” during the Holocaust.

The real question is, “Why does the ADL need to search the Vatican archives, when the historical evidence for the heroic actions of Pius XII, along with testimonials from virtually every Jewish leader of the time, is and always has been readily available, from Google, and from just about nay decent public library?

At Pope Pius XII death in 1958, Golda Meir sent an eloquent message: “We share in the grief of humanity. When fearful martyrdom came to our people in the decade of Nazi terror, the voice of the pope was raised for its victims. The life of our times was enriched by a voice speaking out about great moral truths above the tumult of daily conflict. We mourn a great servant of peace.”

Like these heroic witnesses of the Holocaust we must all respond openly and seek the ideal of sainthood, regardless of our different races, religions and ethnic backgrounds. We must have love for one another, hope in the integrity of future generations, and faith in the Almighty Father of us all.

Some U.S. Jews protest Catholic document on salvation

crucifiedclrcd

The incredibly vague, wrong-headed, and misleading post-Vatican II position of many Catholic church leaders regarding the status of the Jews in relation to the New Covenant promises of Jesus Christ and the Church, form the back drop for the latest political move by Jewish extremists.

A substantial percentage of Jewish people have always rejected the Gospel of salvation in Jesus Christ … and that’s their prerogative … but now it seems that some Jews would like the Gospel set aside, modified, and/or “dumbed down” in order to suit their particular beliefs.

Particularly troubling to these folks is the fact that the Catholic Church has always officially taught that the old Mosaic Covenant of the Jews was never capable of saving a soul … nor was it intended to … and that salvation is only typically and freely obtained by faithful allegiance to Jesus Christ, in and through his Catholic Church … which remains the universal sacrament of salvation for all.

All are invited to become Catholic … Jew … Gentile … without exception … since thanks to Jesus Christ … the  Catholic Church remains the ONLY “ark” of salvation. To do anything else would be anti-semetic … un-charitable … and in total opposition to Jesus’ “Great Commission”.

Matthew 28:18-20 And Jesus coming, spoke to them, saying: All power is given to me in heaven and in earth. Going therefore, teach ye all nations: baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

Such is the true, enduring message of the Gospel … like it or not!

Up until the last forty years or so, the Church’s teachings and actions on this matter had been crystal clear. This is a non-negotiable position that has never changed … and never will … despite the modernist errors promoted by some of today’s politically correct Catholic clerics … and some others.

The Jewish extremists ought to hire a good Catholic theological consultant before they go off on one of their rants. It might save a whole lot of time, trouble, and frustration … and maybe even their souls.

Jesus saves … through his universal (Catholic) New Covenant Church. If Moses and the Old Covenant were indeed sufficient, then Jesus could have saved himself a whole lot of time and trouble!

It’s that simple.
