Life in these United States: Devil worship OK. Subsequent murder and sexual assault – not.

HOUSTON (February 12, 2014) – Two teenage boys were hoping to make a deal with the devil when they sexually assaulted and killed a 15-year-old suburban Houston girl in a satanic ritual, a prosecutor said Tuesday.

Damage control at the Catholic Archdiocese of Newark

Monsignor John E. Doran, the No. 2 official within the archdiocese, has stepped down due to “operational failures” and will no longer hold a leadership position, according to letter to parishioners by Archbishop John J. Myers.

The resignation came after Bergen County, New Jersey, prosecutors arrested Father Michael Fugee on Monday on accusations of violating a 2007 judicial order to avoid working with children after he confessed years before to groping a teenage boy, according to court documents.

“The seriousness of the situation with Father Fugee necessitated a thoughtful and effective response,” Meyers wrote in the letter posted on the archdiocese website.

“Appointing a new Vicar General will be just one step in a comprehensive plan to review, and where necessary, strengthen our internal protocols and ensure we are doing everything we can to safeguard the children of our community.”

40 Days for Life sidewalk counselor arrested on orders from Chicago’s Planned Parenthood

As a group of us were assembled to pray during the 40 Days for Life vigil taking place outside the Albany Medical Surgical Center abortion facility in Chicago, we were taken by surprise when Albany manager Diana Maracick angrily walked right through the middle of our prayer group on her way into the clinic.

Shortly afterward, four police cars arrived. Apparently, Diana had called the police because one of our sidewalk counselors, 64-year old Anna Marie Mesia, had been standing in the public alley adjacent to the Albany facility, talking to a client in the parking lot.

By this time the police arrived, Anna Marie had left the alley, walked past the prayer group, and was standing near the other entrance to Albany’s parking lot along Elston Avenue.

The police approached her, told her she was under arrest, ordered her to place her hands behind her back, and handcuffed her. In obvious discomfort, she was then placed in a squad car.

Her crime? Supposedly, Anna Marie had violated Chicago’s “bubble zone” ordinance.

“And one of you is a devil”. Pope Benedict betrayed by his personal butler.

The butler, identified as Paolo Gabriele, 40, was held by gendarmes after a special commission of three top senior cardinals had been appointed by the Pope to identify the source of the leaks which have caused severe embarrassment.

Mr Gabriele, who has been at the Pope’s side for six years, is one of the German born pontiff’s closest members of his inner circle which totals just four lay people and four nuns. Vatican sources said the Pope had been ”deeply pained and struck” by the arrest of the man who has been a constant presence at his side.

Catholics persecuted, priest tortured in North Sudan

KHARTOUM, Sudan – A Roman Catholic priest of Kadugli parish in Sudan’s embattled South Kordofan is in hiding after being detained three times in the past three months.

Authorities tortured the Rev. Abraham Lual on two of those occasions with accusations that as a Christian he opposes northern forces’ military campaign in the disputed region, he told Compass by phone.

Detained at 10:20 a.m. on Sept. 6 and interrogated for five hours at the security unit’s head office in El-Obied, Lual told Compass that authorities are monitoring his movements and those of other church leaders on the assumption that they are supported by Western Christians opposed to Islam and the north’s military push for territory in South Kordofan.

He was also detained for two days in Kadugli, the capital of South Kordofan, on Aug. 28, and the torture he suffered left him with injuries to his left leg, he said. Sudan Armed Forces (SAF) agents had also arrested him on June 8, accusing him of preaching that people should oppose the Islamic government, he said; authorities tortured him for two days at that time as well.

“Rough Justice”: Alleged abuse victim arrested in priest’s beating.

“Many times I thought of driving down to LA and confronting Father Jerry. I wanted to exorcise all of the rage and anger and bitterness he put into me,” Lynch told the newspaper. “You can’t put into words what this guy did to me. He stole my innocence and destroyed my life.”

The Associated Press does not identify victims of sex crimes as a matter of policy, but Lynch previously came forward to tell his story.

There have been several other instances of violence, sometimes fatal, against priests accused of abuse since the Roman Catholic clergy abuse scandal unfolded in 2002.

Chicago “Bubble Zone” Law Sees First Pro-Lifers Charged Opposing Abortion

Chicago, IL ( — The first pro-life person has been charged under the new bubble zone law in Chicago that local citizens say has robbed them of their free speech rights outside abortion centers. The city council approved the new last October and pro-life groups say it targets those who provide women abortion alternatives.

Thomas More Society attorney Peter Breen entered a “not guilty” plea in court Tuesday morning on behalf of Joseph Holland, who was charged with disorderly conduct.

Holland, a Northwestern University graduate student, was praying the rosary on a public sidewalk outside the Planned Parenthood Near North abortion facility on July 3 when staff called the police, claiming that he had violated the new ordinance.

Parishioners defend the Holy Eucharist, prevent possible desecration

The People of St. James:

Defenders of the Most Blessed Sacrament!

The people of St. James showed their love for the Real Presence of Jesus Christ in the Holy Eucharist in a way in which I will never forget. I am so proud of our people and their faith in Our Lord. Here is what happened.

During Mass last Saturday evening, June 19th a man entered the church with an evil intention: he came to steal the Most Blessed Sacrament during the Mass. Several parishioners saw him place the Sacred Host in his pocket after receiving in the communion line. They approached him telling him they saw his desecration and told him to consume Our Lord. He refused and became belligerent causing a scene in church. Many parishioners (including a few teenagers!) approached him and told him to consume the Most Blessed Sacrament.

Officers from the Belvidere Police Department arrived to assist our people with the disturbance. I asked him if he did indeed have the Holy Eucharist in his pocket. He lied and said he did not have the Host. After many minutes of lies and agitation toward the very patient and kind police officers he was given a choice: give us the Holy Eucharist and walk away or be arrested and searched. He further lied and treated the officers shamefully. He was then arrested, searched and the Holy Eucharist was retrieved and consumed by me on the spot. Further sacrilege and desecration was prevented that evening by the faith-filled and vigilant people of the parish.

The faith of the people of St. James was incredibly inspiring to me. Our Lord is the greatest treasure we have as Catholics and the people of the parish were ready to defend Our Lord’s dignity in the face of danger and threats. Dozens of parishioners remained after Mass witnessing to their desire that Our Lord Jesus Christ be kept from desecration. It was the best Father’s Day gift I could ever have received.

God bless you,

Fr. Geary

Preacher outside abortion clinic climbs into tree to avoid cops

On Saturday, July 17, cops would not allow Wallace to drive his pickup onto the public right-of-way to preach which he says he has been able to do for years.

Instead, he sat on a step ladder to preach to the people.  Police asked him to come down and arrested him when he refused to comply.   Wallace told the cops they were violating his first amendment right.

On Tuesday, Wallace returned to the abortion clinic with his step ladder in tow.  When cops ordered him to stop preaching from the ladder, Wallace climbed into a nearby tree.

He had a big sign up in the tree which read, “Abortion exists because good people do nothing.”

“I’ve got this thing and it’s f***ing golden, and, uh, uh, I’m just not giving it up for f***in’ nothing. I’m not gonna do it. And I can always use it. I can parachute me there,” Blagojevich said in a phone call secretly recorded by the FBI on Nov. 5, the day after the election, according to the affidavit.

“It is conduct that would make Lincoln roll over in his grave,” said U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald in announcing the charges today in Chicago.

He said the Governor’s efforts to “sell” the Senate seat was the “most sinister and appalling” of a range of alleged corrupt acts detailed in today’s case.
