The modernist blasphemy “dogmatic evolutionism” or “reinterpretation of dogma to fit the times”

According to Mgr. Víctor Manuel Fernández, Rector of the Pontifical Catholic University of Argentina:

Some have even claimed that all Church teachings depend and are based on non negotiable principles. This certainly is heresy! To claim that Jesus Christ, his resurrection, fraternal love and all that the Gospel teaches us depends on ethical principles is a distortion of Christianity.

Editor’s note: These are the same type of errors Barack Obama and the Democratic Party are shamelessly promoting in the United States – and the poorly educated, easily misled public is happily, gobbling them right up!

But it’s one thing for cheap, tin-horn politicians to promote falsehoods – and quite another for the priests and hierarchy of the Catholic Church – who are supposed to know better.

Perhaps Mgr. Fernandez no longer believes in Divine Revelation, Sacred and Apostolic Tradition, and the Sacred Deposit of Faith – which are precisely the things on which Catholic ethical principles have always been fashioned?

Or perhaps, these days, to Mgr. Fernandez, there is nothing sacred?

Let’s pray for all those attending the Pontifical Catholic University of Argentina – whether or not they still accept that type of thing down there!

Yes. Pope Francis did indeed call Jesus a sinner!

martin_luther-heresy

This particular heresy is more typical of Lutherans

Since God cannot commit sin, this is also blasphemy.

Pray for the pope. Pray for Catholics who don’t know heresy when they hear or see it proclaimed.

Read the pope’s words for yourself at the official Vatican News website.

(Do it now, before the story is taken down.)

For the record – here’s the pertinent text:

Vatican Radio) Christian life is not a spa therapy “to be at peace until Heaven,” but it calls us to go out into the world to proclaim that Jesus “became the sinner” to reconcile men with the Father. These were Pope Francis’ words during his homily at Mass Saturday at the Casa Santa Martha.

The Christian life is not staying in a corner to carve a road which takes you into heaven, but it’s a dynamic that encourages one to stay “on the road” to proclaim that Christ has reconciled us to God, by becoming sin for us. In his usual profound and direct way, Pope Francis focuses on a passage from the Letter to the Corinthians, from today’s liturgy, in which St. Paul very insistent, almost “in a hurry”, uses the term “reconciliation”five times.

“What is reconciliation? Taking one from this side, taking another one for that side and uniting them: no, that’s part of it but it’s not it … True reconciliation means that God in Christ took on our sins and He became the sinner for us. When we go to confession, for example, it isn’t that we say our sin and God forgives us. No, not that! We look for Jesus Christ and say: ‘This is your sin, and I will sin again’. And Jesus likes that, because it was his mission: to become the sinner for us, to liberate us. “

It is the beauty and the “scandal” of the redemption brought by Jesus and it is also the “mystery, says Pope Francis, from which Paul draws” zeal “that spurs him to” move forward ” telling everyone” something so wonderful “the love of a God” who gave up his Son to death for me. ” Yet, explains Pope Francis, there is a risk of “never arriving at this truth” in the moment when “we ‘devalue a little the Christian life”, reducing it to a list of things to observe and thus losing the ardor, the force of the ‘”love that is inside” of it:

Pope Francis: Jesus is a sinner…

“Jesus is a sinner, we take His own sins to Him and we tell Him, this is Yours and I’m going back out into the world to do it again. Jesus likes that.”

If this scandal is really Francis’ statement, then our Pope is a blasphemer and public heretic.

The Man They Still Hate

Jesus HateCrimes

The world has long since forgiven Julius Caesar. Nobody today finds Socrates or Cicero irritating. Few of us resent Alexander the Great or his tutor, Aristotle.

No, only one man in the ancient world is still hated after two millennia: Jesus Christ.

This does not in itself prove the divinity of Christ, but it does show that his words and example haven’t dated. They still have an amazing power to provoke hatred as well as adoration.

Of course the hatred of Christ usually pretends to be directed at side targets: St. Paul, the “institutional” Church, or, more vaguely, “organized religion” (as if religion would be all right if only it were a solitary activity). The cliché of the Christ-haters, including many “liberal” theologians, is that he was a “great moral teacher” who “never claimed divinity,” but that his “simple message of love” was “corrupted” by his followers.

But why would anyone want a man crucified for preaching an innocuous message of benevolence? Jesus was accused of blasphemy for equating himself with the Father: “I and the Father are one.” “No man comes to the Father but by me.” And if his claim were untrue, the charge of blasphemy would be fully justified.

Church of England proposes ‘blessings’ for homosexual unions

LONDON (Reuters) – Church of England clergy would be able to “bless” same-sex relationships under long-awaited proposals unveiled on Thursday as the church adopts a more open – but disputed – approach to homosexuality.

Editor’s note: What do you call it when grave sin is “blessed” by a purported Christian church? Would it be blasphemy, idolatry, sacrilege – all three? Or would it be something else?

Bishop Poprocki: Asking the Blessed Virgin Mary to intercede on behalf of gay “marriage” legislation was a sacrilege he would not tolerate on church property.

About a week ago, the Rainbow Sash Movement announced its intentions to silently pray the rosary inside Immaculate Conception Cathedral on Tuesday afternoon, 45 minutes before evening Mass. Their intention? That the state legislature would pass Senate Bill 10, titled the “Religious Freedom and Marriage Fairness Act,” legalizing same-sex “marriage” in Illinois.

“By standing up in the Cathedral you will indicate you are there to pray the rosary for marriage” redefinition, its website said. “If you come from a specific parish, you can title yourselves ‘Friends of (Name of the Parish or Parishes).’”

Bishop Thomas Paprocki, whose See is based in the capital city of Springfield, used his role as shepherd of his people to warn Christians not to profane God by asking Him to publicly degrade holy matrimony.

“It is blasphemy to show disrespect or irreverence to God or to something holy,” he said, citing several passages of the Gospel that “Jesus clearly taught that marriage as created by God is a sacred institution between a man and a woman.”

“Praying for same-sex marriage should be seen as blasphemous, and as such will not be permitted in the cathedral,” he warned. “People wearing a rainbow sash or who otherwise identify themselves as affiliated with the Rainbow Sash Movement will not be admitted into the cathedral, and anyone who gets up to pray for same-sex marriage in the cathedral will be asked to leave.”

“Of course, our cathedral and parish churches are always open to everyone who wishes to repent their sins and ask for God’s forgiveness,” the bishop added.

Editor’s note: Who would have thought that a Catholic bishop standing up for the truth of the faith would ever be newsworthy?

Sacrilege in Germany: The fruit of modernism run rampant in the Church.

rottenfruit

It appears there was a fundraising Mass (or “Mass) held for a children’s hospital operated by Catholic charities/Caritas.  A noble goal, perhaps, but the implementation was disastrous.

A circus was mixed in with the Mass, and the Mass was offered not in a proper church but in a dining hall of some kind, with the Blessed Sacrament brought around to the almost entirely elderly participants seated at their tables.

This seems to be a common thing in Germany, the mixing of the sacred and profane with Masses offered at outdoor beer festivals and the like, with people literally going from sucking on a cigarette, or a stein of beer, or from eating a bratwurst one second, and then turning around and receiving Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament the next.

Or, they rather indiscreetly place the Blessed Sacrament in their pocket.
