“Catholic” charities are not bringing Christ, but rather programs, projects, and agencies that focus specifically on “services” that are at absolute odds with Catholic teaching.

Genuine social justice is not composed of bureaucracies, collaboration with government agencies, and high salaries. As Pope Francis has recently said, it begins with Christ: “The Church must bring Jesus, the love of Jesus, the charity of Jesus.”

And that’s the rub. Our research has repeatedly pointed out over the last four years that Catholic Charities USA,Catholic Campaign for Human Development, and Catholic Relief Services have repeatedly shown that they are not bringing Jesus, but rather programs, projects, and agencies that focus specifically on “services” that are at absolute odds with Catholic teaching.

Madagascar Archbishop denounces U.S. Bishops’ agency for pushing contraceptives in his diocese

MADAGASCAR, August 1, 2013 (LifeSiteNews.com) – After Catholic Relief Services claimed it is “simply false” that they are distributing abortifacients and contraceptives in Madagascar, the pro-life group that made the charge has released quotes from an archbishop and clergy in the African country supporting their report.

“Even in my own diocese! Without my knowledge,…they [CRS] were working on an artificial contraception project here,” said Archbishop Désiré Tsarahazana of Toamasina.

As part of a month-long investigation in the fall of 2012, the Population Research Institute interviewed clergy in Madagascar, including two archbishops, who shared grave concerns about CRS’ work in the country.

According to PRI, the bishops went public with them after they had held a private meeting with CRS’ president, Dr. Carolyn Woo, to no avail.

Editor’s note: At the risk of being labeled one of Pope Francis’ Pelagians – does anyone remember back when the question, “Is the Pope Catholic?” was purely rhetorical?

The big Catholic charities have become nothing but conduits for transferring taxpayer dollars to the third world, often with the same agenda held by the population controllers running the U.S.

They can “sell” their evil much easier in Catholic countries by using a “Catholic” agency to do the dirty. And Catholic Relief Services has shown themselves happy to oblige.

Catholic Relief Services distributes abortifacients in Madagascar: on-the-ground investigation

Sad to say, you cannot trust most of the big Catholic charities: Cartholic Relief Services (CRS) is up to its neck in promoting the anti-life message in the third world. Catholic Charities (CC) scandals abound, and the Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD) sends one third to one half of money collected to Alinsky organizing groups that do their darnedest to undermine the faith and elect politicians diametrically opposed to Catholic teaching. And how do the bishops respond to criticism of these horrendous abuses? They attack the messengers. Very sad.

Things you should know about the latest scandal at Catholic Relief Services

According to the CRS official website (www.crs.org), the Gates Foundation is “guided by the belief that every life has equal value.” CRS praises the foundation’s work “to help all people lead healthy, productive lives,” and “to ensure that all people… have access to the opportunities they need to succeed in school and life. …”

In exchange for perpetuating this glorious deception and maintaining a silence on the Gates/Buffett world-wide killing machine, CRS has received in excess of $40 million from Gates/Buffet for global and agricultural development and financial services for the poor from 2003 to 2009.

Catholic Relief Services “stonewalling” in the wake of allegations that it’s allied with pro-abortion, pro-contraception groups.

CRS’s statement is similar to an an email sent to this agency in late December in response to questioning about FRAYBA and CEREAL, and leaves several questions unanswered.

Although the organization also claimed in December that its partnership with FRAYBA had ended in 2011, CRS spokesman John Rivera refused to explain why the organization was still listed as a partner on its Mexico partner’s page.  He also would not state whether CRS continued to have some relationship with FRAYBA, or if it has a relationship with other pro-abortion groups, such as the All Rights for Everyone Human Rights Network (TDT), of which FRAYBA is a member.

However, following publication of LifeSiteNews.com’s recent exposé on the two groups on February 20, CRS removed the donor page listing both FRAYBA and CEREAL.  A copy of the original page can be found here.

Quiz: What do Catholic Relief Services and Melinda Gates have in common?

Catholic Relief Services (CRS), “the official overseas relief and development agency of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops” has recently given millions to an organization that doles out contraceptives, including abortifacient ‘emergency contraception.’

The most recent CRS annual returns (2010) indicate that the largest CRS grant — $5.3 million — went to CARE, an international “relief and development organization,” that actively promotes and provides contraceptives for women in developing countries, and supports pro-abortion groups and legislation.

According to the 2010 990s, CRS gave $5,380,466 to CARE, which is noted on page 86 of the filing.
