Homosexual activists: We demand your complete approval and cooperation – or we’ll ruin your life and your business!

…as of this writing, there have been at least 11 instances of wedding vendors and venues facing some form of recrimination—threats, boycotts, protests, and the intervention of state or judicial authorities—because they denied services for gay nuptials because of their faith.

Christian University president spells out reasons why provisions of Obamacare violate the U.S. constitution

At Oklahoma Wesleyan University we are filing suit against the Obama Administration, Health and Human Services, Kathleen Sebelius and the Affordable Care Act because we believe. We believe whether you are Catholic or Jewish or whether you are Mormon, Methodist, Mennonite or Muslim that you should be free to follow your faith in matters of morality and contraception.  We believe women should be free from any obligation to pay for a drug they find immoral and will never use.  We believe that the racial genocide at the hands of a racist abortion industry must be stopped.  We believe in personal privacy that no judge, legislator or President has any right to violate.  We believe our nation’s girls and their sexuality should be treated with dignity rather than being degraded.  We believe in a culture of life and not a culture of death.

We are filing suit because we believe God is God, not the government and that “we must obey God rather than men.”  (Acts 5:29)

Pint size NY mayor Bloomberg wants to “let” people practice their religion. Who elected him emperor?

biggulp

New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg believes that the Boston Marathon bombings have created a unique scenario — one in which traditional interpretations of the U.S. Constitution must change.

Link

Editor’s note: Bloomberg wants to take away our constitutional rights in order to protect our constitutional rights. Kind of like a mother (or a nanny) taking a cherished toy away from a baby, in order to keep it from being broken. Isn’t that special? This guy should run for president, since that’s the only way every American will have a chance to vote against him!

After that, maybe he can run for Pharisee.

Starts tomorrow: Obamacare will force institutions, churches and individuals to purchase abortion-inducing drugs and pay for sterilization and abortion in direct opposition to their beliefs, conscience and historic teachings of the Church.

On Saturday afternoon, 22 members of the group knelt on the sidewalk in prayer and were arrested by Capitol Police, with the prayer rally (and possible arrests) planned to continue through Oct. 2.

The group says that the only basis for their arrest is that the sidewalk in front of the White House is a “restricted zone” for free speech.

Father Frank Pavone of Priests for Life told WND, “We have stood up for life and religious freedom in hundreds of cities. Today we do so at the president’s house. I am delighted to be here.”

The group says that the president is “dictating to Christians how they should live their faith” and that they are taking a stand, while risking arrest for doing so.

New Obama policy galvanizing national opposition to his contraceptive mandate.

by Doug Lawrence

The new Obamacare contraceptive mandate is serving to effectively unify various factions within the American Catholic Church in a way we haven’t seen in quite a while. The bishops are stepping up and the laity is backing them, virtually one hundred percent.

We have Barack Obama, the Abortion President, and his chief hatchet woman, Kathleen Sebelius, to thank for this very promising turn of events!

God certainly does work in mysterious ways. I doubt if anyone in the Obama administration could have imagined this type of response … probably because they are a bunch of shameless, godless, Marxist ideologues. But I digress…

Here’s the text of one pastoral letter, versions of which were read at Catholic churches across the nation, this past Sunday:

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ:

I write to you concerning an alarming and serious matter that negatively impacts the Church in the United States directly, and that strikes at the fundamental right to religious liberty for all citizens of any faith. The federal government, which claims to be “of, by, and for the people,” has just been dealt a heavy blow to almost a quarter of those people — the Catholic population — and to the millions more who are served by the Catholic faithful.

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services announced last week that almost all employers, including Catholic employers, will be forced to offer their employees’ health coverage that includes sterilization, abortion-inducing drugs, and contraception. Almost all health insurers will be forced to include those “services” in the health policies they write. And almost all individuals will be forced to buy that coverage as a part of their policies.

In so ruling, the Obama Administration has cast aside the First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States, denying to Catholics our Nation’s first and most fundamental freedom, that of religious liberty. And as a result, unless the rule is overturned, we Catholics will be compelled to either violate our consciences, or to drop health coverage for our employees (and suffer the penalties for doing so). The Obama Administration’s sole concession was to give our institutions one year to comply.

We cannot—we will not—comply with this unjust law. People of faith cannot be made second class citizens. We are already joined by our brothers and sisters of all faiths and many others of good will in this important effort to regain our religious freedom. Our parents and grandparents did not come to these shores to help build America’s cities and towns, its infrastructure and institutions, its enterprise and culture, only to have their posterity stripped of their God given rights. In generations past, the Church has always been able to count on the faithful to stand up and protect her sacred rights and duties. I hope and trust she can count on this generation of Catholics to do the same. Our children and grandchildren deserve nothing less.

And therefore, I would ask of you two things. First, as a community of faith we must commit ourselves to prayer and fasting that wisdom and justice may prevail, and religious liberty may be restored. Without God, we can do nothing; with God, nothing is impossible. Second, I would also recommend visiting www.usccb.org/conscience, to learn more about this severe assault on religious liberty, and how to contact Congress in support of legislation that would reverse the Obama Administration’s decision.

Sincerely yours in Christ,

If a similar letter hasn’t yet been read at your parish, there’s no need to wait. The time to get behind our Catholic bishops is now. You know the issue. You know the right thing to do. We can’t let these corrupt, tin horn politicians trample on our constitutional rights!

Amendment 1 – Freedom of Religion, Press, Expression

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Freedom of religion is not just a freedom to worship – but the freedom to practice.

It seems that Obama and co. would much rather refer to your Constitutional right to freedom of religion as simply your right to “worship.”

“Freedom of worship” first appeared in President Obama’s November remarks at the memorial service for the victims of the Fort Hood shooting. Days later, he referred to worship rather than religion in speeches in Japan and China.

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton echoed the shift in language. In a December speech at Georgetown University, she used “freedom of worship” three times but “freedom of religion” not at all. While addressing senators in January, she referred to “freedom of worship” four times and “freedom of religion” once when quoting an earlier Obama speech. [source]

Although it may seem reasonable to think otherwise, the choice of words is no semantic coincidence. And it is no insignificance.

It represents an organized campaign to redefine and muddle our religious freedoms as popularly understood in the cultural narrative. And it reflects the Administration’s disdain and lack of respect for religion.
