This January, as was announced a month ago in a press conference by a plaintiff’s lawyer, documents relating to the sexual misconduct of 30 priests of the archdiocese will be released as part of settlement agreements over the past years. All these incidents were reported over the years to the civil authorities and claims have been mediated civilly. Almost all of the incidents happened decades ago, perpetrated by priests whom neither I nor many younger clergy have ever met or talked to, because the priests were either dead or out of ministry before I came to Chicago as archbishop.

Editor’s note: Shortly after things came to light, we had a chance to ask the Cardinal what happened in the Daniel McCormack affair.  It seems that Cardinal George was away at the Vatican when local  supervision of McCormack proved insufficient. Obviously, mistakes were made.

Bradley Manning: a pervert who should have been booted out of the service years ago and should never have received a security clearance.

The key question – not pursued by the media – is why Manning was allowed to remain in the Army when he was acting in violation of the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell,” policy.

Manning will pay a price in prison, but those who permitted this to happen have still not been held accountable.

In our August 1, 2010, article “Military Homosexual Scandal Tied to WikiLeaks Treason,” we noted reports that Manning, the U.S. Army Intelligence analyst who leaked classified information to WikiLeaks, was not only a homosexual but was considering a sex change.

Adding insult to injury, this traitor is now making this official, hoping the taxpayers pick up the bill.

We asked at the time, “Who in the Obama Administration – and the Department of Defense – was aware of his conduct and looked the other way? Was Manning given a pass because his ‘lifestyle’ was considered to be in favor and acceptable under the Obama Administration?”

Manning claimed connections into the Pentagon and the White House. Our media never followed up.

We noted that “The revelations of Manning’s openly pro-homosexual conduct suggest that a more liberal Department of Defense policy, in deference to the wishes of the Commander-in-Chief, had already been in effect and has now backfired in a big way.”

Remains of the Armenians are so prevalent in the area that all you need to do is scratch the sand along the river banks and you will find pieces of human bones that have been there for 98 years.

The lack of respect given to the Armenian genocide is shocking when you consider the scope and brutality of the event that killed 75 percent of the Armenians — a predominantly Christian group.

The accounts of the atrocities committed against the Armenians is as brutal and disgusting as any you have heard about from Hitler’s attempts to exterminate the Jews from Germany and the world. Small children and old people were marched over mountains and in circles, without food and water, literally until they died. Young Christian girls were defiled by the Turkish soldiers. There are reports that many killed themselves after being raped. The barbaric treatment of the Armenian women went even further.

Editor’s note: This near criminally negligent foreign policy debacle … the equivalent of Jimmy Carter’s desperate, ill-fated, failed Iranian hostage rescue attempt … pretty much cancels out any “glory” that may have attached to the Obama regime after the bin Laden raid … leaving them with absolutely nothing to show for their foreign policy efforts, but failure.

On Sept. 11, scores of men with automatic weapons and RPGs launched a night assault on the U.S. compound in Benghazi, killed Ambassador Chris Stevens and set the building ablaze. Using mortars, they launched a collateral attack on a safe house, killing two more Americans, as other U.S. agents fled to the airport.

On Sept. 14, White House press secretary Jay Carney said the attack came out of a spontaneous protest caused by an anti-Muslim video on YouTube.

On Sept. 16, U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice told the entire nation the attack had not been premeditated or preplanned but emanated from a spontaneous protest of the nasty video.

On Sept. 25, Obama at the United Nations mentioned the video six times.

But when they were pushing this tale, what did the White House actually know?

Cook County Medical Examiner’s attempting to cover-up Planned Parenthood’s fatal abortion malpractice?

Yesterday, the pro-life group Operation Rescue released a copy of the autopsy showing that 24-year old Tonya Reaves died from three major complications during a botched second-trimester abortion suffered at a Chicago area Planned Parenthood abortion clinic on July 20, 2012.  Operation Rescue, which obtained the autopsy results, says it indicates that Reaves’ injuries were survivable if she had received proper emergency care in a timely manner.

However, the pro-life group indicates today that it was not provided the complete autopsy report — indicating six pages were omitted that place the blame squarely on Planned Parenthood’s shoulders. The copy the pro-life group received from the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office was missing the six important pages that further detailed Reaves fatal abortion injuries and noted that Planned Parenthood was where her abortion took place.

The sanitized copy sent to Operation Rescue contained no mention of Planned Parenthood. The omission was discovered when attorneys for the Thomas More Society, a pro-life legal group that also had filed an open records request for the report, compared notes with Operation Rescue.

The Diocese of Joliet in Illinois is also covering up an abuser is continues to be employed on staff in spite of numerous written and verbal complaints.  No secular organization would allow this person’s behavior to continue more than 5 minutes, yet he has been allowed to continue for over 5 years.

Any staff person attempting to address his sexual, physical, and verbal abuses has been threatened into silence.  Bishop Conlon is at least consistent in his response to this issue, in that he has a long history of coverups in his previous diocese of Stuebenville.

The Obama connection: How corruption in Kansas placed abortionists above the law.

As Roxie is facing the gallows for the murder of her lover in the musical Chicago, her defense attorney Billy Flynn played by Richard Gere, turns towards her and says:

Such was the strategy of the defense team for Dr. George Tiller and Planned Parenthood. To accomplish this end Planned Parenthood and Dr. Tiller retained the services of former Kansas Governor Kathleen Sebelius, her hand-picked Attorney General Paul Morrison, her later appointed Attorney General Stephen Six and Sebelius appointed Kansas Supreme Court Justice Carol Beier.[1]

Now Mr. Six is attempting the same flim flam flummox approach in his nominations hearing. President Obama has nominated Six for a seat on the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals on the recommendation of Ms. Sebelius, now Secretary of Health and Human Services in the Obama Administration. The Sebelius appointment and now the Six nomination were both strongly supported by Planned Parenthood.

Top pro-abort group knew about violations in ‘house of horrors’ clinic, but did nothing.

The inspector, watching a few first-trimester procedures in Gosnell’s clinic, “noticed that no one was monitoring or taking vital signs of patients who were sedated during procedures,” wrote the jurors. “She asked Gosnell about the pulse oximeter that should have been used for monitoring, but he told her it was broken. Apparently, Karnamaya Mongar’s death a month earlier had not caused Gosnell to obtain equipment that worked.”

Komen for the Cure Joins Idaho Abortion Business for Breast Cancer Screenings

Although there are nothing wrong with breast cancer screenings, pro-life advocates are disappointed a group that is concerned about breast cancer would team up with an abortion business, especially since research shows abortions increase the risk.

In 2007 alone, Komen chapters gave $711,485 from April 1, 2005 to March 31, 2006 to Planned Parenthood affiliates.

The amount of the grants from Komen affiliates to Planned Parenthood appears to be on the rise and 25 Komen affiliates now have a partnership with the abortion business.

A new video released in February, “Komen’s Dark Side,” exposes the irregular relationship between the breast cancer organization and Planned Parenthood. The video reports on the cover-up of the abortion-breast cancer link.

Georgetown University covers up name of Jesus to curry favor with Obama

(CNSNews.com) – Georgetown University says it covered over the monogram “IHS”–symbolizing the name of Jesus Christ—because it was inscribed on a pediment on the stage where President Obama spoke at the university on Tuesday and the White House had asked Georgetown to cover up all signs and symbols there.
 
As of Wednesday afternoon, the “IHS” monogram that had previously adorned the stage at Georgetown’s Gaston Hall was still covered up–when the pediment where it had appeared was photographed by CNSNews.com.

Should Pope John Paul II be made a saint?

Q: Should Pope John Paul II be made a saint?

The church wants to speed up the cannonization – is this wise considering all the pedophilia cases that were covered up/ enabled by the church during his reign? Or is the coverup/enabling something that should be overlooked?

A: If the requirement for sainthood was physical perfection, the answer would be no.

But that is not the case.

Many of the greatest saints were clearly less than perfect, at some point in their life … some for MOST of their life.

Based on the remarkable life and accomplishments of the man, and the way he charitably applied his obvious spiritual and charismatic gifts for the benefit of the whole world, I would have to say … YES!

The act of forgiving his assassin is unparalleled in the annals of modern world history.

That alone should qualify him, in my opinion.
