Rather than give lots of commentary, I just want to post five biblical lists of the more serious sins that exclude one from the kingdom of God. Saying that these are sins that “exclude one from the kingdom of heaven” is the biblical way of saying they are mortal sins.

It remains true that some of the sins listed, such as lying, can admit of lighter matter. But as we all know, there are very serious and harmful lies that we can all tell.

And so the Lord, in love wants to urgently warn us of the sins that exclude us from heaven. In all the lists that follow, avoid adopting a legalistic mentality. Take them to heart and allow them to become part of your daily moral reflection. The Lord warns us in love that sin is very serious. Even smaller sins, unattended to, begin to grow like a cancer and can ultimately kill us spiritually.

Just consider some of the most famous quotes regarding Vatican II.

Cardinal Giuseppe Siri said, “If the Church were not Divine, the Council would have buried her.”

The liberal Cardinal Joseph Suenens rejoiced, “Vatican II is the French Revolution of the Church.”

Bishop Thomas Morrow, a prelate who participated at Vatican II, said later in life, “I was relieved when we were told that this Council was not aiming at defining or giving final statements on doctrine, because a statement of doctrine has to be very carefully formulated, and I would have regarded the Council documents as tentative and liable to be reformed.”

At the close of Vatican II, the bishops asked Council Secretary Archbishop Felici for that which the theologians call the “theological note” of the Council; that is, the doctrinal “weight” of Vatican II’s teachings. Felici replied: “We have to distinguish according to the schemas and the chapters those which have already been the subject of dogmatic definitions in the past; as for the decelerations which have a novel character, we have to make reservations.”

Liberal Protestant Observer Robert McAffee Brown, writing immediately after the Council, said he despised Pope Pius XI’s and Pope Pius XII’s magisterial pronouncement on Ecumenism (Mortalium Animos and the 1949 Decree on Ecumenism) because both documents insisted on the conversion of non-Catholics to Catholicism as one and only way to true Christian Unity. McAfee Brown went on to say he loved Vatican II’s Decree on Ecumenism because the Council text nowhere mentions the need for non-Catholics to convert to the Catholic Church.

Even Walter Cardinal Kasper, an ardent advocate of ecumenism, recently admitted the confusion within the Council texts themselves.

Then about a month later, when I was reading the Bible for the first time beyond the unavoidable minimum assigned in school, I came across the passage in the book of John, a passage I had never seen before, and to which no Christian in my hearing had ever made reference, which said the same thing in the same words.

-And then I have had perhaps a dozen or two dozen prayers miraculously answered, so much so that I now regard it as a normal routine rather than some extraordinary act of faith.

So I would say my snide little prayer was answered with much more than I had asked, and I was given not just evidence, and not just overwhelming evidence, but joy unspeakable and life eternal.

The universal penalty for sin, is death. Conversely, a person who is totally without sin is not liable to die, at all.

Even babes in their mother’s womb, who are innocent of personal sin, cannot always escape its’ deadly consequences. Hence, spontaneous natural abortions remain an unfortunate fact of this life.

That even newly conceived infants are subject to death should be conclusive proof that sin negatively affects every human being, from the very moment of conception, and that every human being is in desperate need of the grace and mercy of Jesus Christ, our Divine Savior and Redeemer.

God is sovereign and all powerful, and he alone rightly wields the awesomely creative power of life and death. God also has no need to apologize … to anyone … for anything … so don’t waste your time crabbing about the current, natural order of things.

Such is most definitely not the case with abortionists, who engage in the unnatural slaughter of innocent babies, for the sake of money and/or convenience, and with those who continue to promote and support such ungodly abominations.

A necessary component of God’s universal law of sin and death is divine judgment, which means that these blood-stained butchers of innocent humanity will someday have to answer to God, for their actions.

Perhaps God will be more merciful to them, than they were to the babies.

We can only hope!

No one … not even the devil … had the power or the authority to harm the only begotten Son of God … let alone the sinless, totally innocent son of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Jesus is both.

Jesus acknowledged Satan as “The Prince of This World” … yet the power of the devil had very specific limitations:

Satan had absolute power over sinners … even unto death
but … Satan had absolutely NO power over the sinless!

Since he is God, Jesus was and is totally devoid of sin. Hence, Satan held absolutely no power over Jesus. Nothing!

John 14:30
I will not now speak many things with you.
For the prince of this world cometh:
and in me he hath not any thing.

The moment Satan set out to induce his willing minions … some of the Jews and Romans of that time … to crucify Jesus … Satan once again became subject to divine judgment. That judgment would be harsh, but fair:

John 12:31
Now is the judgment of the world:
now shall the prince of this world be cast out.

That is in fact, what happened. Satan had absolutely no authority over Jesus Christ. Rightly judged responsible for Jesus’ unjust crucifixion and death, Satan lost everything that he had earlier gained from Adam’s fall, and was left destitute.

His evil dominion now destroyed, Satan would remain a wanderer and a vagabond upon the earth, relying only on the weak and the confused, for any temporal power that he might manage to retain.

Since Jesus thoroughly pleased his Father, all that Satan lost (and more) was awarded to him. The risen and triumphant Jesus makes that exceedingly clear:

Matthew 28:18
And Jesus coming, spoke to them, saying:
All power is given to me in heaven and in earth.

Ever since … Jesus … the New Adam … King of Kings and Lord of Lords … and through him, the Catholic Church … has graciously offered salvation to every person of every generation … as he will continue to do … until he comes again in glory, on the Last Day.

Such was the main point of the life of Christ on earth,
and such is the continuing mission of the Catholic Church.

Simple enough? Thank God!

Paul asks: 1) Where do we go immediately after death? How can we be raised up if cremated? 2) How is consuming the holy Eucharist suppose to make us feel. I believe what the church says about the Eucharist being the body and blood of Christ, but my physical body tells me it is bread and wine. How do we make it the body and blood.

Alice answers: 1) The moment we die, we will appear before the Judgment Seat of Jesus Christ, where we will become aware of the entirety of our lives in terms of our sinfulness, obedience and acts of charity … and where … hopefully … we will have a final chance to repent and beg God for mercy.

2Corinthians 5:10  For we must all be manifested before the judgment seat of Christ, that every one may receive the proper things of the body, according as he hath done, whether it be good or evil.

A few holy souls will immediately enter Heaven, while the majority will first, necessarily experience Purgatory. Unrepentant souls who choose to refuse God’s mercy, will likely be spending a good deal of quality time (eternity) with Satan the devil, in Hell.

All dead bodies decompose and eventually turn to dust, and the same is true of bodies that are cremated, disintegrated, or otherwise totally destroyed. At the end of this present world age, on the Last Day, when Jesus comes again in glory, the earthly bodies of all those who ever lived will be supernaturally reconstituted and reunited with their respective souls.

1Co 15:52-53  In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet: for the trumpet shall sound and the dead shall rise again incorruptible. And we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption: and this mortal must put on immortality.

2) When the priest says the words of consecration at Mass, ordinary bread and wine is transformed (by the power of Holy Spirit) into the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ. Although we cannot see the change in substance, we believe in the miracle … termed “transubstantiation” … that is obtained through the power given to the Catholic Church and to the Catholic ministerial priesthood, by Jesus Christ, at the Last Supper.

Matthew 26:26-28  And whilst they were at supper, Jesus took bread and blessed and broke and gave to his disciples and said: Take ye and eat. This is my body. And taking the chalice, he gave thanks and gave to them, saying: Drink ye all of this.  For this is my blood of the new testament, which shall be shed for many unto remission of sins.

Receiving the Holy Eucharist can give us a sense of love and peace. Often, communicants feel peace, joy, a gentle warmth or even a powerful heat. Every time we receive Jesus in Holy Eucharist is different. Sometimes, people cry as their hearts are touched so deeply by Divine Love. A person may feel a special connection with God, and a certain unity with all of the other people who are receiving Communion … and also … with the angels and saints.

Whether you actually feel or perceive any of these things is not really pertinent or essential, since every time you partake of The Most Holy Sacrament of the Altar, you undoubtedly receive countless graces, along with the unfathomable affection of our Lord God, truly present in both your heart and your soul (a real, yet sacramental presence that is at once, both physical and spiritual) simply because God loves you … and because the ancient faith of the Catholic Church informs us that the body, blood, soul and divinity of Jesus Christ is really and truly present in the substance of the Holy Eucharist.

Alice Answers:

Eucharistic Adoration is a precious time to spend up close and personal with Jesus. Adoring the Blessed Sacrament is a beautiful way to console the heart of Jesus and make reparations for all of the indignities, blasphemies and atrocities committed by sinful humanity against our Savior.

Jesus loves when we spend time with Him during Eucharistic Adoration! Many churches are locked. Few Catholics come to visit our Lord today. Jesus is eager to listen as we quietly share all of our problems, concerns and joys with Him. He loves spending time with us and delights in our expressions of love for him.

We receive benefits of many graces and experience a feeling of peace after spending time with Jesus. When we sit quietly and let Jesus speak to our hearts, He comforts and consoles us. When we bring our questions and burdens to Him during Eucharistic Adoration, we find the answers we seek and feel our burdens lightened after placing all at Jesus’ feet.

You might find some useful inspiration in this beautiful and most powerful passage from the Book of Revelation:

Revelation 5:6-14  And I saw: and behold in the midst of the throne and of the four living creatures and in the midst of the ancients, a Lamb standing, as it were slain, having seven horns and seven eyes: which are the seven Spirits of God, sent forth into all the earth. And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat on the throne. And when he had opened the book, the four living creatures and the four and twenty ancients fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints. And they sung a new canticle, saying: Thou art worthy, O Lord, to take the book and to open the seals thereof: because thou wast slain and hast redeemed us to God, in thy blood, out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation: And hast made us to our God a kingdom and priests, and we shall reign on the earth. 2013: Year of Divine Judgment for Roe vs. Wade (and the world).


The number 40 is the “prime” biblical number of probation and trial.

The year 2013 will mark the 40th anniversary of the bloodiest, most inhuman, most corrupt court decision that the world has ever known.

And while there’s no doubt that abortion is an abomination in the eyes of God, the question remains: What is God going to do about it?

Throughout the scriptures, we read of God declaring various “trial” periods of 40 days or 40 years, with the fate of mankind often hanging in the balance.

If we pay attention and change our evil ways, life goes on, often better than ever. If not … there is the prospect (more like a promise) of divine judgment (and subsequent chastisement).

The fact is: Due to Roe vs. Wade (and its gruesome aftermath) we’re collectively guilty of some FIFTY MILLION innocent deaths, in the United States, alone!

Some maintain these “Wrath of God” types of things were “strictly” relegated to Old Testament times, and that in this age of superabundant grace … courtesy of our Divine Savior, Jesus Christ … the only thing we need be concerned with is our own personal Judgment Day.

I say: Take a good look at what happened to Jerusalem in 70 AD ( New Testament times) exactly 40 years from the day Jesus pronounced its coming destruction. Then, take careful stock of what’s going on in today’s world … where the economy, the political system, the fate of nations, the state of human morality … and virtually everything else we used to take for granted … is hanging by a virtual thread.

So, here’s a call for widespread repentance and reparations … not just by the Catholic faithful … but by all men of goodwill, everywhere.

The Judgment clock is ticking … and unlike the widely popular but phony “2012” Mayan calendar fiasco … this 2013 Day of Divine Judgment might just come to pass.

Unless … like the ancient Assyrians … we choose to heed Jonah’s prophetic words*… wake up … and change our evil ways.

*Jonah 3:1-10  And the word of the Lord came to Jonas the second time saying: Arise, and go to Niniveh, the great city: and preach in it the preaching that I bid thee. And Jonas arose, and went to Niniveh, according to the word of the Lord: now Niniveh was a great city of three days’ journey.  And Jonas began to enter into the city one day’s journey: and he cried and said: Yet forty days and Niniveh shall be destroyed. And the men of Niniveh believed in God: and they proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth from the greatest to the least.
