Is Barack Obama the most anti-Catholic American president in living memory?

…across the whole spectrum of contemporary moral issues, he is passionately committed to a series of views which run directly contrary to those of the Church. All this has caused at least one Catholic bishop (there are probably others) to call him anti-Catholic.

As a Senator, he supported sex education, to be provided by Planned Parenthood, to children of five years old.

He consistently voted for abortion, including partial birth abortion.

He voted (twice) against Bills prohibiting public funding of abortions; he voted in favour of expanding embryonic stem cell research; he voted against notifying parents of minors who had undergone out-of-state abortions; he voted for a proposal to vote $100,000,000 for the funding of sex-education and contraceptives (including abortifacients) for teenagers; he opposed the “Born Alive Infants Protection Act” on the Senate floor and in 2003 killed the bill in committee.

Investigative reporter: Ave Maria, Florida – not really a Catholic Town

Ave Maria is not God’s town. It’s not a Catholic Town. It’s Tom Monaghan’s little theocracy, a mini-state governed by a man who regards himself as divinely guided.

The official religion practiced and promoted here by Tom Managhan, Nick Healy and the Ave Maria University administration is not traditional Catholicism but rather a Pentecostal-Charismatic fundamentalism with all the eccentricities and characteristics and dangers of a full-blown cult. The “Praise and Worship” services, Novos Ordo guitar Masses and bizarre healing services held at the Quasi-Parish of Ave Maria Oratory (the “healing services” were eventually banned inside the Oratory by the local Bishop) are not merely a variant on Catholicism, but a different religion altogether with a different theology of grace and salvation.

North Dakota bishops issue list of groups Catholics SHOULD NOT support

Bishop Samuel Aquila of the Fargo diocese and Bishop Paul Zipfel of the Bismarck diocese released a joint document warning Catholics against giving to or working with the March of Dimes, UNICEF, Susan G. Komen for the Cure or Crop Walk because they say the groups have supported abortion rights, contraception or embryonic stem-cell research.

Catholic Voting Principles – Direction for an Informed Conscience

Although the Church does not specifically endorse candidates for which to vote, we are given moral principles to form our consciences and to guide us in order to comply with the teaching authority of the Church: Candidates and issues should first be evaluated on their opposition to the five moral issues about which there can be no compromise for faithful Catholics: abortion, euthanasia, embryonic stem cell research, cloning and homosexual “same-sex marriage.” The Church regards these as intrinsic evils and consideration of them takes highest priority.

Preferred candidates would be those that come closest to the defense of life and family on these issues. Afterwards, candidates can be evaluated regarding their stand on other important issues such as the economy, war, poverty, immigration, education, taxes, etc. Although these issues also have moral elements, they do not carry the same moral weight and priority as the fundamental life issues. Unfortunately, Catholics have often confused second order “social issues” with first order “moral issues.”

Bush administration spent over 400 billion dollars on embryonic stem cell research

According to the story, of that figure, Obama spent $131 million.  That means most of this spending, which the media wildly cheer, was spent by the hated Bush.  Yet, I don’t remember, when W was POTUS, the media telling us just much Bush’s NIH was pouring into ESCR.  Indeed, during the Bush years some $2 billion was spent from all sources in the USA on human ESCR. That figure wasn’t reported widely either, since it didn’t fit the “bad Bush” story line.

Who would have “thunk” it? U.S. court rules against Obama’s stem cell policy.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – A U.S. district court issued a preliminary injunction on Monday stopping federal funding of human embryonic stem cell research, in a slap to the Obama administration’s new guidelines on the sensitive issue.

The court ruled in favor of a suit filed in June by researchers who said human embryonic stem cell research involved the destruction of human embryos.

Judge Royce Lamberth granted the injunction after finding the lawsuit would likely succeed because the guidelines violated law banning the use of federal funds to destroy human embryos.

Archdiocese of St. Louis explains why it cannot support Susan G. Komen for the Cure

The Respect Life Apostolate of the Archdiocese of St. Louis acknowledges the beneficial work of Susan G. Komen for the Cure, formerly known as the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, in the area of breast cancer detection, prevention, research and treatment. Due to its policy allowing affiliates to offer financial support to abortion providing facilities, its denial of studies showing abortion as a cause of breast cancer, and its endorsement of embryonic stem cell research, the Respect Life Apostolate neither supports nor encourages participation in activities that benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

Furious Dr. Hans Keirstead (who advocates wantonly destroying human embryos) uncomfortable in the light of day

Dr. Keirstead is spearheading the first FDA approved human trial of injecting embryonic stem cells into spinal-cord patients.

Hans Keirstead’s main arguments were exactly the ones used by the Nazi doctors who were doing lethal experiments on Jews. Their victims were subhuman, they were destined to die anyway, it was all legal, other countries were doing it and it would benefit all mankind to find cures for dread diseases. He was standing in front of a sign with the covers of the books quoting those exact arguments and the irony was totally lost on him. He just stood there parroting propaganda like a programmed robot.

Keirstead deliberately used dehumanizing rhetoric to refer to the babies, alternately calling them “the products of united sperm and egg cells” and “fertilized eggs.” I told him he was doing what racists do when they dehumanize blacks with the “N” word or anti-Semites when they use the “K” word to slur their Jewish victims. The fertilized egg reference wasn’t even the biologically correct term for embryos at the stage at which he is killing them. When Keirstead tried to deny that he was personally killing them I asserted that he was at least complicit in their killing and he changed the subject. I also reminded him that the term “embryo” describes a stage of life, not a type of life.

“A sad victory of politics over science and ethics”

regali

“President Obama’s new executive order on embryonic stem cell research is a sad victory of politics over science and ethics. This action is morally wrong because it encourages the destruction of innocent human life, treating vulnerable human beings as mere products to be harvested. It also disregards the values of millions of American taxpayers who oppose research that requires taking human life. Finally, it ignores the fact that ethically sound means for advancing stem cell science and medical treatments are readily available and in need of increased support.”

Troubling words from Obama – who aspires to the Presidency of the United States and leadership of the free world.

Troubling words from Obama – who aspires to the Presidency of the United States and leadership of the free world.

Obama: Supports: “Freedom of Choice Act”. A bill that would invalidate virtually all state and federal limitations on abortion, including partial-birth abortion.

Obama: Opposes ban on partial birth abortion ban. He said he would re-instate this ban as president. (Partial Birth Abortion is used from the 5th month on, involves pulling a living baby feet-first out of the womb, except for the head, puncturing the skull and suctioning out the brain. The great majority of partial-birth abortions are performed on healthy babies of healthy mothers.)

Obama: Voted to block a bill that would have required an abortionist to notify at least one parent before performing an abortion on a minor girl from another state.

Obama: Voted 3 times against a bill in the Illinois State Senate that would have provided protection for babies who survive abortions equal to the protection received by babies who are spontaneously born prematurely.

From The National Catholic Register:
Jill Stanek, a Chicago nurse, described the practice of killing babies in what is now known as “live-birth abortion.” Illinois tried to stop the practice. But in 2002, as state legislator there, Obama voted against the Induced Infant Liability Act, which would have protected babies who were “accidentally” born alive during attempts to abort them.

“I could not bear the thought of this suffering child dying alone in a soiled utility room, so I cradled and rocked him for the 45 minutes that he lived,” Stanek told the U.S. Congress, describing one such case. “He was too weak to move very much, expending any energy he had trying to breathe. Toward the end he was so quiet that I couldn’t tell if he was still alive unless I held him up to the light to see if his heart was still beating through his chest wall.”

After Stanek’s testimony even N.Y. Democrat Jerrold Nadler, who says he is “as pro-choice as anybody on earth” supported and spoke in favor of the bill.

But for the abortion industry and Obama, opposing the right to life has meant uncompromising dedication to a counter-principle. For Obama, protecting the unstated principle “unwanted children do not have the right to life” is the only way abortion can remain legal.

That has led him to exclude another category of human being from the right to life: the unfit.

Terri Schiavo
In a recent debate, Obama said the vote he most regrets was his vote to save Terri Schiavo’s life. Her husband, Michael, wanted Terri dead, even though she was alert and responsive to nurses and family members. He had a new child with a new woman, and he wanted Terri dead.

When a judge granted his request, Congress and President Bush attempted to intervene to save her life, and not just to save her life, but to stop the dangerous precedent. They failed. Now Obama says they shouldn’t have tried. Thus, he started by rejecting the right to life of unwanted children and now rejects the right to life of an unwanted woman.”

Obama supports embryonic stem cell research — which is the deliberate killing of little innocent babies.

Obama supports cloning, another intrinsic evil.

Obama supports full civil unions that give same-sex couples equal legal rights and privileges as married couples. Civil unions is one step closer to homosexual “marriage”. Homosexuality is a mortal sin and an abomination against God. Obama voted against the Federal marriage Amendment Act, which would have defined marriage as between a man and a woman.

Sadly, many people have not been educated as to the real issues in this campaign.
Life issues are the most important, for without life, we have nothing. Obama, cares nothing about innocent children, or the lives of others, as he only cares about himself, making a name for himself. He has succumbed to the evils in society. He is a coward, as he certainly doesn’t have the courage to stand up for God and His Commandments. Please, continue to educate others about him and the evil he supports.

Above all — encourage others to pray ~ Divine Help is Needed!
Our country has been blessed by God. We have all good things because of God. One cannot expect our blessings to continue if we are on the road to perdition, turning away from God. Prayers are needed! Pray for our country and its people. God’s Commandments are Commandments — they must be obeyed. Period! They must be obeyed in the voting booth.

We must NOT support evil.
We must NOT support Obama in any way.
We are commanded by God to obey His Commandments. Let’s have the courage to do so.
