ObamaCare is in critical condition and on life-support.

Hospital groups now say they want Congress to peel back $155 billion in payment cuts that they agreed to in 2009. Representatives of Blue Cross Blue Shield Association, Aetna, Inc., and Humana Inc. say they need greater freedom to adjust premiums to reflect risk. Medical-device companies are making a new push to roll back their 2.3% tax. Hotels, retailers, and restaurant chains are clamoring for a two-year delay in enforcement of a requirement that they cover full-time workers or pay a penalty, giving them until 2016 to comply.

Implement-and-improve, the Democrats are now saying in indicating a new willingness to make election-year concessions in revising the hated law. Or as the president put it on Thursday: “The highest court in the land has now spoken. We will continue to implement this law. And we’ll work together to improve on it where we can.”

But the race to the exits by doctors, hospitals, drug makers, insurers and others is evidence that the law is already beyond repair. To put that another way, the series of deals between the government and health-industry groups that gave rise to Obamacare is falling apart.

Failed Catholic Archbishop Rembert Weakland’s memoirs are indeed pretty “weak”

Poor, poor Rembert!

Unrepentant, narcicistic archbishop who secretly paid off his homosexual lover using $450,000.00 in church funds is still in denial. Shamelessly blames the Catholic church for his demise.

Weakland writes, “For starters, the church could make progress by ridding itself of arrogance, perfection, and omniscience.” (Editor’s note: But Rembert, that’s exactly what the church accomplished when you were finally forced to step down!)

View the embarrassingly sappy, “softball” article about him here and don’t forget to “read between the lines”.

Ecumenical Sarcasm

Q: Okay, Catholics, are we so deceived?

So we have been deceived for 2000 years. Yes, that’s it! God’s deceived us for 2,000 years! After the Apostles, BAM! ALL LIES.
A: Lets see now …

Jesus gets himself crucified … dies … is buried … rises from the dead … personally establishes his Church … promises to bless it and keep it forever … with all his divine power and might … and it lasts only about 40 years.

Lights out! Over. Done.

Then he makes the world wait 1500 years for the “true faith” to be invented by a bunch of guys whom he never trained, and who never even knew him.

But wait … in the mean time … his original “failed” Church … the Catholic Church … somehow manages to overcome hundreds of years of brutal persecution … faithfully preserve all his divine truth … and successfully convert most of the known world to Christianity.

What kind of failure is that?

Is God confused … or is it those guys who showed up 1500 years late … equipped with nothing except a borrowed holy book … a book whose meaning they haven’t yet been able to understand … or agree on?

What did Jesus REALLY mean when he said this?:

Mat 28:18 And Jesus coming, spoke to them, saying: All power is given to me in heaven and in earth.
Mat 28:19 Going therefore, teach ye all nations: baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost.
Mat 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you. And behold I am with you all days, even to the consummation of the world.

Is Jesus God … or is he a powerless liar?
