“After Tiller” – an intimate and heartfelt look at four doctors performing third-trimester abortions.

“We tried to frame it as clearly as possible as being a part of these doctors and seeing it from their point of view,” said Wilson, “and for them, the protesters are there kind of buzzing in the background all the time, but they are not a big presence in their lives, other than a possible threat lurking there. I think we wanted to represent the protesters in a way that was true to the doctors’ experiences of them, but we also didn’t want to make them look crazy or one-dimensional. Even though they are a small part of the doctors’ lives, we tried to treat them fairly when they are in the film.”

More about Tiller and his gruesome pals

Editor’s note: This pro-abortion propaganda piece is just too disgusting for words! The filmmakers said they didn’t want to make the PROTESTERS look crazy! What about the filmmakers themselves? Are they nuts? Couldn’t they see the wanton slaughter that was taking place, all around them? Couldn’t they smell the stench of death in those places? Didn’t they realize they were dealing with monsters? And then there’s the part where the “caring and conscientious” abortionist turns down a woman’s request for an abortion! Does anyone want to bet how many times that ever (never) happened before? Give us a break, will you?

Abortionists fictional alternative universe of death

For instance, Weber recalls a client who compared her abortion with cutting a leaf off a plant to make the whole plant stronger. She writes: “It was such an important idea. She had an equilibrium in her decision and a perception of her experience that was unusual and valuable to know about.”

Now look closely here. Does any leaf ever become its own plant? No. Are metaphors the most idiotic method of arguing possible when arguing a life-or-death issue? Yes.

Now hold up. Ignoring the fact that by “making the whole plant stronger” Weber is probably not referring to increasing a woman’s risk of breast cancer, there is a deeper issue. Weber is working with metaphors. Poetry is a beautiful thing, but this book is specifically written for women who have had abortions. Hear then, one of the various balms offered to these women. Imagine yourselves as plants, and it’ll be okay. But a woman is not a plant, and human fetuses are not leaves.

Need I point out that if in order to justify an action you must create an unreality of woman-as-agent-without-moral-capacity and fetus-as-regrowing-organ-of-said-agent, you’re probably going to get mocked by the Age of the Ultrasound?

It gets so much worse…

Some Jews promoting Anti-Catholicism, prior to Pope’s synagogue visit

A high-profile stayaway Sunday is the president of Italy’s assembly of rabbis, Giuseppe Laras, who said Benedict had “weakened” ties between Catholics and Jews.

Israel’s ambassador to the Holy See will attend but remarked that “Catholic anti-Judaism still exists”.

Adding fuel to the fire, the head of the Roman Catholic Church on Friday urged Vatican doctrinal experts to speed rapprochement with a Catholic fraternity that includes a Holocaust-denying bishop, Richard Williamson.

Renzo Gattegna, who heads the Union of Communities of Italian Jews, said: “It cannot be denied that some decisions taken by the current pope in 2009 led to moments of tension and concern on the Jewish side.”

Gattegna listed the Pius XII and Williamson affairs as well as Benedict’s decision to rehabilitate the Latin version of the Catholic Church’s Good Friday mass, which contains a prayer for the conversion of the Jews.

Editor’s note: Self-serving historical revisionists continue to cling to their purely fictional belief that Pope Pius XII, who was virtually held hostage in the Vatican during WWII, surrounded by occupying Nazi/Fascist forces, in constant personal danger, with only a handful of poorly armed Swiss guards at his disposal, should have somehow been able to save the Jews … something that the world powers of the time (Franklin Roosevelt, Harry Truman, Winston Churchill, Joseph Stalin, Charles DeGaulle, many others) were unable or unwilling to do.

This anti-Catholic, anti-Christian position has its’ roots in the liberal, secular, socialist/communist philosophies that are so common today throughout Europe and Israel. This is similar to President Barack Obama’s current political strategy, where truth is nothing more than what you say it is!

George Weigel on Catholic writer Flannery O’Connor

oconnorstories

Flannery O’Connor’s relentless, faith-driven unsentimentality extended to the Church as well as to the world: “I think that the Church is the only thing that is going to make the terrible world we are coming to endurable; the only thing that makes the Church endurable is that it is somehow the body of Christ and on this we are fed. It seems to be a fact that you have to suffer as much from the Church as for it…” And this, mind you, was written in 1955—to certain Catholic minds, the high water mark of Catholic life in these United States. One can only imagine what Flannery O’Connor would say today.
