Shameless Harold (Doomsday) Camping: Says his understanding of God’s plan was “just a little off”.

Speaking outside the headquarters of his media empire near the Oakland, Calif., airport, Camping said his prediction that the Rapture would occur Saturday might have been wrong, but he stands by his prophecy that the world will come to an end as forecast on Oct. 21.

In a rambling discourse to reporters outside his Family Radio International office, Camping, an 89-year-old retired civil engineer, indicated he had misread the signs in predicting that the faithful would be lifted up to Heaven Saturday, leaving sinners to suffer through five months of disasters until the Earth was consumed in a fireball on the End of Days.

God did “bring judgment on the world,” on Saturday, he said, but there will not be any terrible buildup to the end. When it comes, it will happen quickly, he said.

Bomb hoax hits Lourdes pilgrims on Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary

Thousands of Roman Catholic pilgrims were evacuated from the Sanctuary of Lourdes in France after a bomb scare which turned out to be a hoax.

The threat came as 30,000 worshippers gathered for the annual Feast of the Assumption, one of the pilgrimage site’s busiest days of the year.

Police gave the all-clear for the site to reopen after a search by bomb disposal teams with sniffer dogs.

More than six million believers visit the Sanctuary each year.

Seen on the web: Comments about the Jesuits and their checkered history

In 1773, the pope states that they were incorrigible and lists all the ways they damaged the Church from the beginning. Their ‘permanent suppression’ was ‘lifted.’ Yet, a mere 70 years later, their continuing damage to the Catholic Church ways were again exposed in their promotion of evolution in the hoax of Piltdown Man. People blame one man, Teilhard de Chardin, for the hoax, but it was not only him — several other Jesuits fostered that hoax. For all intents and purposes, ‘Piltdown Man’ was not a hoax fostered by one Jesuit, or even by some Jesuits, but by the Jesuit order itself, as evidenced by the fact that their superiors never defrocked, suspended, censured or even scolded the Jesuits personally involved in the hoax that caused so much damage to the Church.

If I were to follow the letter of the law as set down by Clement XIV, I would have to say that despite what Pius VII tried to do in 1814, I am not obliged to acknowledge that a Jesuit order or Jesuit priests exist today. Frankly, the faith of the people would be more intact had they taken this view after 1814.

“Maybe it is not brutal. But in all other respects, what it (the Copenhagen conference) proposes is far too close to Communism for comfort.”

Today the gloves came off and the true purpose of the “global warming” scare became nakedly visible. Ugo Chavez, the Socialist president of Venezuela, blamed “global warming” on capitalism – and received a standing ovation from very nearly all of the delegates, lamentably including those from those of the capitalist nations of the West that are on the far Left – and that means too many of them.

Previously Robert Mugabe, dictator of Rhodesia, who had refused to leave office when he had been soundly defeated in a recent election, had also won plaudits at the conference for saying that the West ought to pay him plenty of money in reparation of our supposed “climate debt”.

Inside the conference center, “world leader” after “world leader” got up and postured about the need to Save The Planet, the imperative to do a deal, the necessity to save the small island nations from drowning, etc., etc., etc.

Outside, in the real world, it was snowing, and a foretaste of the Brave New World being cooked up by “world leaders” in their fantasy-land was already evident. Some 20,000 observers from non-governmental organizations – nearly all of them true-believing Green groups funded by taxpayers – had been accredited to the conference.

However, without warning the UN had capriciously decided that all but 300 of them were to be excluded from the conference today, and all but 90 would be excluded on the final day.
