Difficulties understanding the mind of “the Oracle of Santa Marta”

For someone complaining about “downers,” the Pope seems to constantly tear down the faithful. As I’ve noted before, his language is that of a prophet, not a pastor. He is Isaiah, eveighing against the wickedness and hypocrisy of the Jews, i.e. Catholics. (In fact, the last time he called us hypocrites, the language was practically word-for-word from Isaiah. And that was two weeks ago, for those of you keeping score at home.)

When the Pope speaks of the “formalism” of hypocrites who say “It is not possible,” the Bear thinks of the two Argentine lesbians with their sham marriage and the baby they’ve managed to obtain. They’re set for their own Confirmation and baby’s baptism April 5th at the cathedral in Cordoba. Is it the formalism of the hypocrite to have serious reservations about this? Is that the sort of thing the Pope has in mind?

Controversial Midwestern Bishop teaches: The reason Catholics go to Mass is to offer sacrifice. It’s not to be entertained or to do what they like.

Editor’s note: There was a time when most Catholics actually understood the nature and purpose of the Mass. There also was a time when more than seventy five percent of Catholics attended Mass every Sunday. Participation today is well under thirty percent – and falling.

Pope Francis labels as heretics those Catholics who hold a more traditional understanding of the faith, yet he is unwilling to make a similar prudential judgment as to the nature of many of his fellow Jesuits, certain radical women’s religious orders, and those who suffer from disordered sexuality.

Modernism, Liberalism, hypocrisy, and arrogant humility apparently go hand in hand.

Pope (perhaps unwittingly) defines the main reason for the failures of the compromised post-Vatican II Church

keeprightwrong

“Hypocrisy is the very language of corruption. And when Jesus speaks to his disciples, he says: ‘let your language be,’ Yes, yes! No, no ‘. Hypocrisy is not a language of truth, because the truth is never given alone. Never! It is always given with love! There is no truth without love. Love is the first truth. If there is no love, there is no truth. They want a truth enslaved to their interests. There is a love, of sorts: it is love of self, love for oneself. That narcissist idolatry that leads them to betray others, that leads them to abuse of trust. “

Pope Francis continued, what looks like a “persuasive language,” instead leads to “errors, to lies.” Then with a hint of irony, he noted that those who now approached Jesus and “seem so amiable in their language, are the same people who will go to fetch him on Thursday evening in the Garden of Olives, and will bring him to Pilate on Friday.” Instead, Jesus asks exactly the opposite of those who follow him, a language of “yes is yes, no is no,” a “language of truth and love”

Cardinal Kasper admits many Vatican II documents were “compromised”

Editor’s note: Fifty years of bad catechesis, corruption and abuse – simply because the leaders of the Catholic Church couldn’t keep from playing politics with God’s honest truth.

The Sandy Hook massacre was horrendous, but the fact remains President Obama would have condoned the prenatal and post-birth murder of each and every one of them had the killer been an abortionist.

When 27 people are killed in Connecticut it’s called a massacre. When 27 people are killed at the local Planned Parenthood it’s called “an average week”.

Yesterday I compared the school shooting in Newtown, Connecticut to the abortion holocaust and questioned our President’s reaction to this tragedy. I used the calls for gun control laws to say I wanted laws to control scalpels and suction machines that are used to kill children. I talked about how whenever anyone’s child is being killed either inside or outside the womb the world should be outraged.

I was told that it is just too soon to compare things like these because those people just died and everyone needed time to grieve. While I am so very saddened by their deaths and I too am grieving, I am also saddened that since that attack in Connecticut, more than 7,000 innocent human persons have been killed in abortion clinics. Since January 22 of 1973 over 55,000,000 innocent human beings have been killed by surgical abortion in America alone. It is not too soon; it is actually long overdue.

I am being told that I am just opportunistic. Yes, I am. I am using this opportunity to bring to light the senseless and brutal murder of millions of innocent children who deserve to have their deaths mourned. I am using this opportunity to show the hypocrisy of a nation who defends, protects and funds the murder of her own citizens in the name of choice.

Look who parks their cash at Romney’s Bain Capital Management

Government-worker pension funds are the chief beneficiaries of Bain’s economic stewardship. New York-based Preqin uses public documents, news accounts and Freedom of Information requests to track private-equity holdings. Since 2000, Preqin reports, the following funds have entrusted some $1.56 billion to Bain:

* Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund ($2.2 million)

* Indiana Public Retirement System ($39.3 million)

* Iowa Public Employees’ Retirement System ($177.1 million)

* The Los Angeles Fire and Police Pension System ($19.5 million)

* Maryland State Retirement and Pension System ($117.5 million)

* Public Employees’ Retirement System of Nevada ($20.3 million)

* State Teachers Retirement System of Ohio ($767.3 million)

* Pennsylvania State Employees’ Retirement System ($231.5 million)

* Employees’ Retirement System of Rhode Island ($25 million)

* San Diego County Employees Retirement Association ($23.5 million)

* Teacher Retirement System of Texas ($122.5 million)

* Tennessee Consolidated Retirement System ($15 million)

These funds aggregate the savings of millions of unionized teachers, social workers, public-health personnel and first responders. Many would be startled to learn that their nest eggs are incubated by the company that Romney launched and the financiers he hired.

Mississippi Governor says left’s mission is “to abort children”

“The hypocrisy of the left, that now tried to kill this bill, that says I should have never signed it, the true hypocrisy is that their one mission in life is to abort children, is to kill children in the womb,” Bryant told Wildmon. “And it doesn’t really matter, they don’t care that if the mother’s life is in jeopardy, that if something goes wrong, a doctor can’t admit them to a local hospital, that he’s not even board-certified.”

Roe, Doe, DOA: How Abortion is Killing the Democratic Party

Monday, March 22, 2010, 9:00 AM
Joe Carter

Last night 219 members of in the House of Representatives proved what many of us have suspected for decades: Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton are the twin pillars of the Democratic Party. The refusal to prohibit federal funding of abortions in the health care bill shows that the Democratic leadership is either remarkably dedicated to the principle that woman should have the right to use federal funds to kill their unborn children or they are the dumbest politicians in history. However, if they truly support abortion on demand they should stand by that conviction no matter how many elections it will cost them. And as history has shown, it has cost them plenty—and will cost them many more.

This wasn’t always the case. The GOP was once the party open to those who supported abortion rights while the Democrats were generally populated with pro-lifers. During the primary race for the 1988 Presidential election, five of the Democratic contenders—Jesse Jackson, Joe Biden, Paul Simon, Dick Gephardt, and Al Gore—had previously opposed abortion. So did Bob Kerry. And Dick Durbin. And Bill Clinton. Even Ted Kennedy had claimed that the “legalization of abortion on demand is not in accordance with the value which our civilization places on human life.”

Pro-life groups call for pickets at National Education Association’s convention in San Diego next month

“Abortion is the primary factor causing America’s economic recession,” said Pawson, an NEA-NJEA teacher in Trenton, NJ. “America is suffering the consequences for killing 50 million people who are supposed to be among us today as teachers, producers, consumers, taxpayers, leaders, inventors, and problem-solvers. It’s no surprise that a nation which slaughters nearly twenty percent of its future customers, investors, and entrepreneurs also kills its own economy. Wrong moral choices have negative consequences. Evil acts generate their own punishment.”

“The NEA leadership’s support for abortion has led to the destruction of 50 million students and simultaneously eliminated hundreds of thousands of teaching careers and education-related jobs,” said Pawson. “Surely, some of those dead students were the ones God sent to cure AIDS, end world-hunger, and create clean-energy technologies. NEA’s leadership portrays itself as the premier advocate for children while collecting millions of dollars in dues from teachers for supposedly protecting their jobs. What hypocrisy!”
