We’ll take the ’50s any day, when pregnancy was not a health problem and no president would be found fighting for the freedom to kill the unborn.

Mr. Obama sees himself as leading the nation into the 21st century, and he justifies his abortion stand as protecting women’s health.  We can only wonder if he skipped every biology class ever offered in high school and college.  Being pregnant is not a health problem, and living, perfectly viable unborn human beings, in or out of the mother’s womb, don’t have any health problems, unless the will to live is now considered unhealthy.

Yes, we’ll take the ’50s any day, when pregnancy was not a health problem and no president would be found fighting for the freedom to kill the unborn.

In the ’50s, women didn’t think they were in a war with conservatives; they knew they were in a war only with overeager young men. Those young men usually lost, which in turn produced a situation where there was no need for an abortion.

Yeah, we’ll take those days.

We will also take the ’50s presidents who left a legacy for us rather than a stream of blood from our own offspring.

President Truman, who took up after Franklin Roosevelt from 1950 to 1952, faced and reined in the reckless power of the corrupt unions instead of coddling them to buy votes as Barack Obama has done.

He also gave us the Truman Doctrine, which served to halt the expansion of communism in Eastern Europe. Mr. Obama has brought more communistic socialism into a once free nation than any president in history.

Gosnell infanticide/murder trial revelations shedding too much light on Obama’s own sordid abortion record.

Obama was slated to speak at Planned Parenthood’s fundraising gala on Thursday night and with the Kermit Gosnell trial capturing national attention there was significant backlash. Obama has thus far refused to comment on the trial — despite the fact that he has commented on other trials in progress previously.

The pro-life Susan B. Anthony List responded to the news that President Obama is backing out of the keynote address at Planned Parenthood’s annual fundraising dinner, saying he is running away from the abortion giant:

“Planned Parenthood last week admitted to knowing about the horrors going on inside Kermit Gosnell’s squalid Philadelphia clinic, but chose not to exercise its position as the leader in the abortion industry to put an end to the butchering of women and children. No matter the reason for his backing out, it is certainly a good time to distance oneself from Planned Parenthood. Now is also a good time for President Obama to reconsider his position of forcing taxpayers to fork over more than $542 million each year to this abortion-centered, profit-driven business. Planned Parenthood is America’s largest abortion provider which in a single year ended the lives of more than 333,000 children,” SBA’s Marjorie Dannenfelser said.

Editor’s note: Faced with revelations such as these, and with his record … President Obama might try to run … but he can’t hide! And neither can his supporters.

Late term abortionist Gosnell made $1.5 million a year.

The case has three big consequences. First, it reminds us that the abortion industry is indeed an industry – operating for profit, sometimes with cynical motives. Gosnell claims he was helping poor women, but he charged $3,000 for a procedure and enjoyed an annual income of $1.5 million. That he is accused to reusing medical supplies suggests that he upped his profit margin by reducing costs. Gosnell was a businessman, not a doctor.

Second, the claim that “hundreds” of babies survived the late-term abortion within the mother’s body and had to be killed outside of it blows out of the water the insistence of Planned Parenthood that such survival rates are very rare. Evidently, those babies are made of tougher stuff than prochoice militants realise.

Finally, the Gosnell story has to reopen the discussion about the nature of late-term abortions. It is self-evident that state and local agencies did not do their job, reflecting a “hands-off” approach to the abortion industry by politicians and public employees that smacks of moral complacency.

Obama’s dilemma: He has no problem with infanticide … he’s OK with China’s human rights atrocities … he couldn’t care less about Chen … but it’s an election year!

U.S. officials contend that Chen left the U.S. Embassy yesterday of his own volition to seek medical treatment at a hospital. From the hospital, however, Chen told friends and the media that he was not given full information on which to base his decision. He told Associated Press, moreover, that a U.S. official relayed a threat that if Chen did not leave the Embassy, he wife would be beaten to death. He told CNN, “I am very disappointed at the U.S. government.”

Chen also told CNN that after he escaped, his wife was tied to a chair in their home for two days. Guards carried sticks into their home and threatened to beat her to death. They also moved into their house, eating at their table and using their belongings. They have installed seven surveillance cameras inside their home. These facts convinced Chen that it would not be safe for him or his family to remain in China. He did not learn these facts until he was reunited with his wife in the hospital.

Jill Stanek: Barack Obama “unmoved” by reports of infanticide

Stanek relates the story of how one night she saw a nurse bringing a baby to the soiled utility room to die, because the parents of the child did not want to hold it. The other nurse also did not have the time to hold the child. “When she told me what she was doing I couldn’t bear the thought of this suffering child dying alone,” says Stanek. “And so I cradled and rocked him for the forty-five minutes that he lived.”

Stanek recounts how, besides testifying before the federal House, she also testified before an Illinois State Senate Committee, a Committee on which Barack Obama sat.

“Barack Obama,” she says, “was unmoved, and actually opposed the Born Alive Infant Protection Act.”

“This one guy, Barack Obama,” she says, “thought that infanticide was acceptable and voted to protect it. Some people said that Barack Obama was uninformed or may not have fully understood the implications of this bill. But he voted against it three times. That’s calculated.”

Femicide: Evil perpetrated against girls by women (typically through abortion and infanticide.)

The statistics are sickening. The UN reports approximately 200 million girls in the world today are ‘missing’. India and China are said to eliminate more female infants than the number of girls born in the US each year.

Lianyungang in China has the worst infant gender ratio on record with 163 boys born for every 100 girls. Taiwan, South Korea and Pakistan are also countries in which unwanted female babies are aborted, killed or abandoned.

Sleepwalking through the great infanticide

Is it just me, or is there something sickly schizophrenic about a society that huffs and puffs in outrage at the killing of a baby in the light of day, but quietly supports it when it happens in the darkness of the womb?

We are talking about the very same baby here, at the exact same moment of gestation, the only difference being the location of the demise.

If we can kill a baby within the womb, why not outside of the womb? Viable babies are being put to death in late-term abortion clinics all over the United States, perhaps some in Canada. We call it “abortion” but in the light of day, these actions clearly are “murder”.
