We’ll take the ’50s any day, when pregnancy was not a health problem and no president would be found fighting for the freedom to kill the unborn.

Mr. Obama sees himself as leading the nation into the 21st century, and he justifies his abortion stand as protecting women’s health.  We can only wonder if he skipped every biology class ever offered in high school and college.  Being pregnant is not a health problem, and living, perfectly viable unborn human beings, in or out of the mother’s womb, don’t have any health problems, unless the will to live is now considered unhealthy.

Yes, we’ll take the ’50s any day, when pregnancy was not a health problem and no president would be found fighting for the freedom to kill the unborn.

In the ’50s, women didn’t think they were in a war with conservatives; they knew they were in a war only with overeager young men. Those young men usually lost, which in turn produced a situation where there was no need for an abortion.

Yeah, we’ll take those days.

We will also take the ’50s presidents who left a legacy for us rather than a stream of blood from our own offspring.

President Truman, who took up after Franklin Roosevelt from 1950 to 1952, faced and reined in the reckless power of the corrupt unions instead of coddling them to buy votes as Barack Obama has done.

He also gave us the Truman Doctrine, which served to halt the expansion of communism in Eastern Europe. Mr. Obama has brought more communistic socialism into a once free nation than any president in history.

Gosnell infanticide/murder trial revelations shedding too much light on Obama’s own sordid abortion record.

Obama was slated to speak at Planned Parenthood’s fundraising gala on Thursday night and with the Kermit Gosnell trial capturing national attention there was significant backlash. Obama has thus far refused to comment on the trial — despite the fact that he has commented on other trials in progress previously.

The pro-life Susan B. Anthony List responded to the news that President Obama is backing out of the keynote address at Planned Parenthood’s annual fundraising dinner, saying he is running away from the abortion giant:

“Planned Parenthood last week admitted to knowing about the horrors going on inside Kermit Gosnell’s squalid Philadelphia clinic, but chose not to exercise its position as the leader in the abortion industry to put an end to the butchering of women and children. No matter the reason for his backing out, it is certainly a good time to distance oneself from Planned Parenthood. Now is also a good time for President Obama to reconsider his position of forcing taxpayers to fork over more than $542 million each year to this abortion-centered, profit-driven business. Planned Parenthood is America’s largest abortion provider which in a single year ended the lives of more than 333,000 children,” SBA’s Marjorie Dannenfelser said.

Editor’s note: Faced with revelations such as these, and with his record … President Obama might try to run … but he can’t hide! And neither can his supporters.

Late term abortionist Gosnell made $1.5 million a year.

The case has three big consequences. First, it reminds us that the abortion industry is indeed an industry – operating for profit, sometimes with cynical motives. Gosnell claims he was helping poor women, but he charged $3,000 for a procedure and enjoyed an annual income of $1.5 million. That he is accused to reusing medical supplies suggests that he upped his profit margin by reducing costs. Gosnell was a businessman, not a doctor.

Second, the claim that “hundreds” of babies survived the late-term abortion within the mother’s body and had to be killed outside of it blows out of the water the insistence of Planned Parenthood that such survival rates are very rare. Evidently, those babies are made of tougher stuff than prochoice militants realise.

Finally, the Gosnell story has to reopen the discussion about the nature of late-term abortions. It is self-evident that state and local agencies did not do their job, reflecting a “hands-off” approach to the abortion industry by politicians and public employees that smacks of moral complacency.

Obama’s dilemma: He has no problem with infanticide … he’s OK with China’s human rights atrocities … he couldn’t care less about Chen … but it’s an election year!

U.S. officials contend that Chen left the U.S. Embassy yesterday of his own volition to seek medical treatment at a hospital. From the hospital, however, Chen told friends and the media that he was not given full information on which to base his decision. He told Associated Press, moreover, that a U.S. official relayed a threat that if Chen did not leave the Embassy, he wife would be beaten to death. He told CNN, “I am very disappointed at the U.S. government.”

Chen also told CNN that after he escaped, his wife was tied to a chair in their home for two days. Guards carried sticks into their home and threatened to beat her to death. They also moved into their house, eating at their table and using their belongings. They have installed seven surveillance cameras inside their home. These facts convinced Chen that it would not be safe for him or his family to remain in China. He did not learn these facts until he was reunited with his wife in the hospital.

Jill Stanek: Barack Obama “unmoved” by reports of infanticide

Stanek relates the story of how one night she saw a nurse bringing a baby to the soiled utility room to die, because the parents of the child did not want to hold it. The other nurse also did not have the time to hold the child. “When she told me what she was doing I couldn’t bear the thought of this suffering child dying alone,” says Stanek. “And so I cradled and rocked him for the forty-five minutes that he lived.”

Stanek recounts how, besides testifying before the federal House, she also testified before an Illinois State Senate Committee, a Committee on which Barack Obama sat.

“Barack Obama,” she says, “was unmoved, and actually opposed the Born Alive Infant Protection Act.”

“This one guy, Barack Obama,” she says, “thought that infanticide was acceptable and voted to protect it. Some people said that Barack Obama was uninformed or may not have fully understood the implications of this bill. But he voted against it three times. That’s calculated.”

Femicide: Evil perpetrated against girls by women (typically through abortion and infanticide.)

The statistics are sickening. The UN reports approximately 200 million girls in the world today are ‘missing’. India and China are said to eliminate more female infants than the number of girls born in the US each year.

Lianyungang in China has the worst infant gender ratio on record with 163 boys born for every 100 girls. Taiwan, South Korea and Pakistan are also countries in which unwanted female babies are aborted, killed or abandoned.

Sleepwalking through the great infanticide

Is it just me, or is there something sickly schizophrenic about a society that huffs and puffs in outrage at the killing of a baby in the light of day, but quietly supports it when it happens in the darkness of the womb?

We are talking about the very same baby here, at the exact same moment of gestation, the only difference being the location of the demise.

If we can kill a baby within the womb, why not outside of the womb? Viable babies are being put to death in late-term abortion clinics all over the United States, perhaps some in Canada. We call it “abortion” but in the light of day, these actions clearly are “murder”.

This Week’s Ask Alice: What the Bible (and the Catholic Church) teaches about abortion.

Send A Question To Alice

She’ll answer your Catholic questions
right here, every Thursday.

Email responses will also be provided, as time permits.

Rob Asks: What are the strongest Bible verses condemning abortion?

Alice Responds: Some of the strongest Bible passages condemning abortion present evidence that life begins in the womb.

A beautiful Pro Life witness was proclaimed by Elizabeth, in the New Testament, when her pregnant cousin, the Virgin Mary, came to visit.

Elizabeth clearly felt the movement of John (the Baptist) … her yet to be born son … in response to the awesome presence of the Holy Spirit:

“Thereupon Mary set out, preceding into the hill country to a town of Judah, where she entered Zechariah’s house and greeted Elizabeth. It happened, when Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, that the baby leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit.” (Luke 41:39-41)

Here are more Scripture verses to help change the hearts and minds of people who tolerate abortion:

“For you formed me in my inmost being. You knit me together in my mother’s womb….My frame wasn’t hidden from you., when I was made in secret, woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my body. In your book they were written, the days that you ordained for me, when as yet there were none of them.” (Psalm 139:13, 15-16)

“Didn’t He who made me in the womb make him? Didn’t one fashion us in the womb?” (Job 31:15)

“Your hands shaped me and made me. Will you now turn and destroy me? Remember that you molded me like clay. Will you now turn me to dust again?” (Job 10:2, 8-9)

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you. Before you came out of the womb I sanctified you.” (Jeremiah 1:4-5)

“Cursed is he who takes a bribe to kill an innocent person.. All the people shall say, ‘Amen.’ “ (Deuteronomy 27:25)

Throughout history, the saints have taught us invaluable lessons about the sanctity of life. The maternal heroism of St. Gianna Beretta Molla (1922-1962) serves an an inspiration to all Pro Lifers.

Gianna was a pediatric physician and devoted mother of three children. During the second month of her fourth pregnancy, doctors discovered a fibroma on Gianna’s uterus.

Physicians offered her three choices: 1) an abortion to save her life and allow her to have more children; 2) a complete hysterectomy to preserve her life, but end the unborn child’s life; 3) removal of only the fibroma, with potential further complications.

Insisting that her unborn baby must be saved, Gianna chose the removal of only the fibroma. On April 21, 1962, Good Friday, Gianna’s delivered her fourth child, Gianna Emmanuela, by Caesarean section. In great pain, Gianna died seven days after giving birth, from septic peritonitis.

She was canonized on May 16, 2004. Her husband Pietro and the daughter she saved, Gianna Emmanuela, were both present at the ceremony.

In Christ’s Love,

Alice

Doug Lawrence adds: Abortion has always been abhorrent to those of the authentic Jewish and Christian faith traditions.

Probably the best, most specific, written proof of this can be found in this excerpt from chapter 2 of the earliest known, most widely circulated, extra-biblical teachings of the apostles – known as “The Didache” – dated to 100 AD – about 300 years before the Canon of Sacred Scripture was officially compiled and certified:

…you shall not practice magic, you shall not practice witchcraft, you shall not murder a child by abortion
nor kill that which is begotten.

The Didache, for a number of reasons, is still very much worth reading, for any Christian … since at the time it was written, the Christian Church was already being identified as “Catholic”.

Some 500 years later, Muslims and the Koran came out firmly against abortion and infanticide.

Only in later times was this totally consistent reverence and respect for life attacked and weakened by the false teachings of various apostates … and in turn … by their lethal, politically motivated spawn.

Santorum: Obama and infanticide a legitimate campaign issue

One reason John McCain didn’t defeat Barack Obama in the last election cycle is because he didn’t stress Obama’s pro-abortion record, Republican potential presidential candidate Rick Santorum told conservative Iowans today.

“John McCain didn’t have the wisdom to bring this issue up before the American public,” Santorum, a former U.S. senator from Pennsylvania, said during a lunchtime speech in Dyersville. “But this is who Barack Obama is.”

Santorum, who calls himself an authentic conservative because of his strict opposition to same-sex marriage and all abortions, today accused Obama of arguing in favor of infanticide – an issue that Santorum and other Republicans have brought up before.

CHINA’S THIRTY YEARS WAR AGAINST ITS OWN PEOPLE

Population Research Institute
Weekly Briefing 10/05/2010, Vol. 12, No. 27
pop.org
by Steve Mosher, President PRI

I was surprised when Beijing decided to celebrate (!) the thirtieth anniversary of the One-Child Policy this week.   I thought, quite frankly, that the declaration of a national day of mourning would have been more appropriate.

But I was even more taken aback when the head of China’s National Population and Family Planning Commission, a woman named Li Bin, announced that China would continue to enforce this same Draconian policy for “decades” to come.

Decades?   This is, after all, a policy that has led to a slaughter of the innocents of Biblical proportions. Hundreds of millions of
women have been forcibly aborted and sterilized.   Homes have been razed, livestock confiscated, and exorbitant fines levied.
In all, 400 million people are missing from the Chinese population as a result of the one-child policy.   Like previous Chinese
Communist Party-orchestrated disasters such as the Great Leap Forward, or the Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution, this policy, too, has been a disaster for the Chinese people.

I should know.  I was in China when the one-child policy began, 30 years ago.

What I saw then, living in an agricultural commune in rural Guangdong, rivals anything that happened in Nazi Germany.
One day in 1980 several hundred young mothers, all pregnant with second or higher-order children, were ordered to attend
population control meetings.   There they were told that they would all have to abort their pregnancies.  Those who refused
were arrested for the “crime” of being pregnant and locked up until they, too, buckled under the pressure and submitted to
an abortion.

At that point they were taken to the local medical clinic and given a lethal injection into their uterus.   If their bodies did
not expel their dead or dying babies within two days, they were subjected to a cesarean section abortion.   Most horrific
of all, babies born alive were killed by means of an injection of formaldehyde into the “soft spot” on the crown of their heads.
Those few women who managed to escape arrest and had their babies in secret were assessed heavy fines.

Everything that I witnessed then, from the forced abortions of women in the third-trimester of pregnancy to government-
sanctioned infanticide, is still happening now.  Those women who manage to avoid the dragnet by going into hiding are now
subjected to even heavier fines, which currently run three to five times the family’s annual income.  Those who can’t pay this
huge amount have had their homes destroyed and their possessions and livestock confiscated.

Moreover, such a child remains a “black child,” that is, one who does not exist in the eyes of the state.   Such children are
nonpersons, turned away from the government clinic if they fall ill, barred from attending a government school of any kind, and not considered for any kind of government employment later in life.   They are not allowed to marry or start families of their own, since the government has decreed that “black children” will not be allowed to reproduce.   One generation of illegals is enough.

The Chinese government, supported by foreign population control zealots, believe that its program should be held up as
a population control role model for the rest of the world.  In reality, it should be roundly condemned for its widespread
and systematic violations of human rights, especially the rights of women.

But even those who shy away from defending China’s brutal repression of its population sometimes argue in favor of the
one-child policy on other grounds.   China is often held up by the UN Population Fund, for example-as a positive example
of a county that has been able to slow population growth rates dramatically, and which has achieved prosperity as a result.
But to praise the country that has become the ugly poster child of forced abortion and coerced sterilization for the economic
growth that these inhuman policies have supposedly generated is not only inconsistent, but also wrong.

China is clearly worse off economically as a result of eliminating from its population 400 million of the most productive and
enterprising people the world has ever known.   China’s astonishing economic performance-its annual GDP growth over the past three decades is close to 10%-is not only a tribute to the tremendous work ethic of the Chinese people, but also has
led to labor shortages in China’s coastal provinces.   Every baby born in China today is a net economic asset.   How
much more would China have been able to achieve with an even larger population?

Some would argue that adding people would overburden the Chinese environment, but the PRC has been an ecological
disaster zone from the time of Mao’s forced-pace industrialization programs in the 1950s.  The same remains
true today, as the Chinese leadership remains far more concerned about the economic growth rate than about ensuring
that the populace has clean air to breathe and clean water to drink. Witness the government-mandated shutdown of all
factories in the Beijing region in the days leading up to the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing.   Once the athletes (and the
foreign journalists) were gone, the smokestacks resumed spewing out their plumes of black smoke.  Nothing had
changed.   This is to say that the sorry state of China’s environment has far more to do with misguided political decisions, and the lack of public accountability for the actions of both government and privately owned businesses, than it does with the number of people.

The one-child policy has been a social disaster as well.  Two generations of Chinese have grown up with no siblings, no
cousins, and no aunts and uncles.  This radical shrinking of the boundaries of the family is, in itself, is a great poverty.
Then there is a problem of female infanticide and sex selective abortion, which has eliminated tens of millions of little girls
from the population, leaving an equal number of young men without brides to marry.   Prostitution, homosexuality, and
gang activity are on the rise as a result.

Finally, there is the demographic snare that the one-child policy has set for the Chinese people.   Because of the radical cutback in births, the Chinese population is aging faster than any human population in human history.  The worker/dependency ratio is unsustainable.   How can an only child support two parents and four grandparents in retirement?   I am afraid that this will lead the Chinese government to embark upon a “one-grandparent
policy” in years to come, in which tens of millions of elderly Chinese will be urged to accept euthanasia, perhaps in return
for their only grandchild being allowed to go to college. Forced abortion and forced euthanasia are two sides of the same
debased coin.

For all its failings, I do think that the one-child policy has served one important purpose as far as the Chinese Communist Party is concerned: It has helped to maintain the muscular rigor of the one-party dictatorship that rules China.   China is a police state, after all, and such a state, to remain strong, must have something to police.   Economic controls have been loosened over the past 30 years, so control over other aspects of life must be tightened.  The brutal one-child policy is one consequence of such a system’s relentless drive for control over people’s lives.

Do I think that the Chinese Communist Party really intends to continue, as Li Bin asserts, its one-child policy “decades” into
the future?   Absolutely.   And it will certainly never admit that the policy was a mistake.   One-party dictatorships don’t make mistakes of such consequence-at least if they want to stay in power.

“Systematic, repetitive acts of infanticide.”

Atrocious crimes feature so often in the daily news that they begin to lose their power to shock, but the trial of an Australian woman makes a chilling exception. According to the prosecutor, water polo champion Keli Lane was so determined to be selected for the 2000 Sydney Olympics that she “hid” a pregnancy from everyone and, when her daughter was born, she killed her, buried her, and then went to a wedding.

That was in 1996 when Lane was 21. As a result of various sexual relationships she had already had two abortions and — in moments of better judgement — had two babies adopted out. After each birth she would immediately resume her active sporting, social and sex life. She drank heavily and “kept up with the boys”. She was not, as it happens, selected for the Olympic team.

Now 35, Lane denies killing her child and claims that her then boyfriend took the infant away. Maybe. Hopefully. Because it is very hard to accept that a mother would kill her infant with the cold-blooded casualness the prosecution alleges. And yet, only two weeks ago we heard about a French woman, Dominique Cottrez, who admitted suffocating eight of her newborns and concealing their corpses in the garden and garage of her home. Among similar horror stories in recent years was that of Susan F, a German woman who, over a period of six years, killed three of her newborns and hid them around the house.

Cardinal Pell Says Green Party Like Watermelons: Green Outside, Red Inside

By Kathleen Gilbert

SYDNEY, August 11, 2010 (LifeSiteNews.com) – A row has erupted after Cardinal George Pell of the Archdiocese of Sydney, Australia criticized the Green Party, which supports abortion, euthanasia, and same-sex “marriage,” as “sweet camouflaged poison” that represents an “anti-Christian” point of view. The archdiocese stood strongly by the comments after Green leader Robert Brown implied that Pell lied about the party’s position, and claimed to be more in touch with Catholic and Christian sentiment than the Cardinal.

When asked by young adults about how to vote in the upcoming elections, Pell recounted in a column Sunday that he did not endorse a specific party but encouraged his audience “to examine the policies of the Greens on their website and judge for themselves how thoroughly anti-Christian they are.”

The prelate also pointed out that Green leader Robert Brown helped author a book in which it was claimed that “humans are simply another smarter animal, so that humans and animals are on the same or similar levels depending on their level of consciousness.” The book was coauthored by Princeton University philosopher Peter Singer, a notorious supporter of infanticide and euthanasia.

“This Green ethic is designed to replace Judaeo-Christianity,” Pell warned.

The worldwide war on baby girls

XINRAN XUE, a Chinese writer, describes visiting a peasant family in the Yimeng area of Shandong province. The wife was giving birth. “We had scarcely sat down in the kitchen”, she writes (see article), “when we heard a moan of pain from the bedroom next door…The cries from the inner room grew louder—and abruptly stopped. There was a low sob, and then a man’s gruff voice said accusingly: ‘Useless thing!’

“Suddenly, I thought I heard a slight movement in the slops pail behind me,” Miss Xinran remembers. “To my absolute horror, I saw a tiny foot poking out of the pail. The midwife must have dropped that tiny baby alive into the slops pail! I nearly threw myself at it, but the two policemen [who had accompanied me] held my shoulders in a firm grip. ‘Don’t move, you can’t save it, it’s too late.’

“‘But that’s…murder…and you’re the police!’ The little foot was still now. The policemen held on to me for a few more minutes. ‘Doing a baby girl is not a big thing around here,’ [an] older woman said comfortingly. ‘That’s a living child,’ I said in a shaking voice, pointing at the slops pail. ‘It’s not a child,’ she corrected me. ‘It’s a girl baby, and we can’t keep it. Around these parts, you can’t get by without a son. Girl babies don’t count.’”

Doctor provides frank answers to questions about his abortion practice

graveyard

“Abortion is an issue to me that – scientifically, ethically, politically, legally – in my heart of hearts I favor legal, properly-performed abortions. Anybody who demonstrates against us, in my experience – and it’s always tied to some religious organization – to me, they are no different than Osama bin Laden and his creed. Because you cannot talk to them, their minds are closed, they think that God talks to them, which in my point of view is psychotic.”

“I feel sorry for them, for all who walk down that road of brainwashing, but you know, some people are just susceptible to brainwashing. But despite that, no religious terrorism will stop me from doing what I think is the scientifically right thing to do.”

Bishop Aquila addresses Notre Dame and Barack Obama, the ABORTION President, on Fox News

President Obama, the ABORTION President, “clearly rejects the truth about human dignity through his constant support of a so called ‘right to abortion.’ He also tolerates the inexcusable act of letting aborted children die who are born alive. He promotes an intrinsic evil which must always be resisted by a just and civil society.”

Physician-assisted suicide and euthanasia flow from seriously flawed notions of human dignity

This Will Kill Us

More is at stake than just the economy in this presidential election season. In fact, the manufactured economic woes of our country are in some ways a smokescreen to keep our minds off the weightier moral issues that are not being talked about to any significant degree or in any depth. There real issues upon which our future as a nation depends are the life issues! To that effect, euthanasia, euphemistically called “physician-assisted suicide,” is on the ballot in Washington State, and if we don’t support those who are valiantly fighting this pernicious movement, this new virus of the culture of death could kill us all.

Actually this is not an entirely new front in the culture wars: Oregon blazed the euthanasia trail in 1997 when their physician-assisted suicide law went into effect. Now, the Washington State Initiative 1000 (I-1000) is almost a carbon copy of the Oregon law and just as deadly. I would invite all our Spirit and Life® readers to support with prayer and donations the group called the “Washington Coalition Against Assisted Suicide” in their efforts to stop I-1000. (See sidebar for more information on how to help.)

Here are just a few of the salient facts about euthanasia for your consideration:

Physician-assisted suicide and euthanasia flow from seriously flawed notions of human dignity:

The euthanasia worldview is based on the “Quality of Life” ethic (where the value of life is dependent upon lifestyle considerations) as opposed to the “Sanctity of Life” ethic (where life is valued in itself).
This worldview says that sickness and suffering are meaningless even though we have better medical technology and palliative (pain-control) care than ever before in the history of humanity; it doesn’t acknowledge that human suffering always creates opportunities for generosity, heroism and even sanctification.
Decisions to euthanize people are based primarily on utilitarian concerns rather than on human decency despite all the lip service to “compassion” and “mercy” that are used to promote it; talk of healthcare rationing is simply preparing the way for a great killing spree for the sick and elderly.
The connection between abortion and euthanasia is chilling:

Euthanasia advocates distort language to make killing seem like a virtue: words like “autonomy” and “self-determination” mimic the “freedom of choice” rhetoric of abortion; in fact, the main euthanasia advocacy group in Washington State is actually called “Compassion and Choices.”
Medical professionals are transformed from healers into killers – suicide-assisting doctors essentially become the new abortionists of the sick and elderly.
Requirements for safeguards, reporting, informed consent, etc. are talked about with such seriousness when they are trying to get laws passed and then are ignored when the laws go into effect; and there is never any real enforcement of the laws once they are on the books.
The moral slippery slope gets steeper when you legalize killing; “death with dignity” and the “right to die” soon become the “duty to die” just as “a woman’s right to choose” usually drives away any other options but abortion.
The true irony is that the baby-boomers will double the number of elderly by the year 2020, and they are the likely candidates for euthanasia. The generation that gave us abortion on demand is now in the crosshairs of a selfish generation of pagan activists who were spawned by “choice.” We have a chance in both national and local elections to proclaim that we are a people of life in this election. Let us make sure our voices are heard!

Please join HLI in helping the good folks in Washington State defeat this euthanasia initiative: it could be a life-or-death fight for us all.
Sincerely Yours in Christ,
Rev. Thomas J. Euteneuer,
President, Human Life International

A President with no compassion for the least of us cannot be good, even for the best of us.

Barack Obama voted three times to permit babies born alive to be left out to die.

Barack Obama is a strident supporter of Planned Parenthood, NARAL, and other pro-death groups, everywhere.

Barack Obama’s position on abortion and infanticide is more radical and more liberal than any of the above.

Compare this to the personal actions of both the Republican presidential and vice-presidential candidates, who have acted decisively to respect and preserve life (except for McCain’s misguided support for embryonic stem cell research).

ABORTION SURVIVOR TO OBAMA: STOP SUPPORTING SELECTIVE INFANTICIDE

September 17, 2008

ABORTION SURVIVOR TO OBAMA:

STOP SUPPORTING SELECTIVE INFANTICIDE

Gianna Jessen and Jill Stanek of BornAliveTruth.org have released a video that features an appeal by Jessen to Sen. Barack Obama asking him to support health care for infants who have been born alive following a botched abortion. Jessen is a 31 year-old who survived a saline abortion; Stanek is the nurse who blew the whistle on infants being allowed to die in a utility room following induced-labor abortions (she was fired from Christ Hospital in Oak Lawn, Illinois for doing so).

When Obama was in the Illinois State Senate, he blocked all legislation designed to provide health care for infants who survived an abortion. The language of the Illinois bill, in its final version, was identical to the language of the federal bill that was passed unanimously and signed into law by President Bush. Though that bill made it clear that nothing in the legislation could be construed to overturn Roe v. Wade, it still wasn’t enough to satisfy Obama.

To see this 30-second video, click here.

On May 15, Catholic League president Bill Donohue appeared on “Fox and Friends” saying there had been a media cover-up of this issue. He now sounds off about this classic video:

“Abortion is not just another issue for Catholics. As Denver Archbishop Charles Chaput has said, it is a ‘foundational issue.’ Amazingly, the issue that this video addresses is beyond abortion—it is infanticide. Why Obama, who advocates universal heath care, would exclude babies who survive an abortion from his plan is mind-boggling. Guess the politics of inclusion draws a line when it comes to these kids.

“Moreover, if anyone wants to continue to deny that abortion involves human life, let him take a good look at Gianna Jessen: She is living proof that the entire pro-abortion agenda is based on a lie. Perversely, those who support ‘choice’ are the very ones who continue to deny the Jessens of this world that very right. And there are millions of such Jessens.”

Pat Buchanan – A Catholic Case Against Barack

A Catholic Case Against Barack

by Pat Buchanan

 Patrick Buchanan

As David Freddoso reports in his new best-seller, “The Case Against Barack Obama,” the Illinois senator goes further than any U.S. senator has dared go in defending what John Paul II called the “culture of death.”

Thrice in the Illinois legislature, Obama helped block a bill that was designed solely to protect the life of infants already born, and outside the womb, who had miraculously survived the attempt to kill them during an abortion. Thrice, Obama voted to let doctors and nurses allow these tiny human beings die of neglect and be tossed out with the medical waste.

How can a man who purports to be a Christian justify this?

Troubling words from Obama – who aspires to the Presidency of the United States and leadership of the free world.

Troubling words from Obama – who aspires to the Presidency of the United States and leadership of the free world.

Obama: Supports: “Freedom of Choice Act”. A bill that would invalidate virtually all state and federal limitations on abortion, including partial-birth abortion.

Obama: Opposes ban on partial birth abortion ban. He said he would re-instate this ban as president. (Partial Birth Abortion is used from the 5th month on, involves pulling a living baby feet-first out of the womb, except for the head, puncturing the skull and suctioning out the brain. The great majority of partial-birth abortions are performed on healthy babies of healthy mothers.)

Obama: Voted to block a bill that would have required an abortionist to notify at least one parent before performing an abortion on a minor girl from another state.

Obama: Voted 3 times against a bill in the Illinois State Senate that would have provided protection for babies who survive abortions equal to the protection received by babies who are spontaneously born prematurely.

From The National Catholic Register:
Jill Stanek, a Chicago nurse, described the practice of killing babies in what is now known as “live-birth abortion.” Illinois tried to stop the practice. But in 2002, as state legislator there, Obama voted against the Induced Infant Liability Act, which would have protected babies who were “accidentally” born alive during attempts to abort them.

“I could not bear the thought of this suffering child dying alone in a soiled utility room, so I cradled and rocked him for the 45 minutes that he lived,” Stanek told the U.S. Congress, describing one such case. “He was too weak to move very much, expending any energy he had trying to breathe. Toward the end he was so quiet that I couldn’t tell if he was still alive unless I held him up to the light to see if his heart was still beating through his chest wall.”

After Stanek’s testimony even N.Y. Democrat Jerrold Nadler, who says he is “as pro-choice as anybody on earth” supported and spoke in favor of the bill.

But for the abortion industry and Obama, opposing the right to life has meant uncompromising dedication to a counter-principle. For Obama, protecting the unstated principle “unwanted children do not have the right to life” is the only way abortion can remain legal.

That has led him to exclude another category of human being from the right to life: the unfit.

Terri Schiavo
In a recent debate, Obama said the vote he most regrets was his vote to save Terri Schiavo’s life. Her husband, Michael, wanted Terri dead, even though she was alert and responsive to nurses and family members. He had a new child with a new woman, and he wanted Terri dead.

When a judge granted his request, Congress and President Bush attempted to intervene to save her life, and not just to save her life, but to stop the dangerous precedent. They failed. Now Obama says they shouldn’t have tried. Thus, he started by rejecting the right to life of unwanted children and now rejects the right to life of an unwanted woman.”

Obama supports embryonic stem cell research — which is the deliberate killing of little innocent babies.

Obama supports cloning, another intrinsic evil.

Obama supports full civil unions that give same-sex couples equal legal rights and privileges as married couples. Civil unions is one step closer to homosexual “marriage”. Homosexuality is a mortal sin and an abomination against God. Obama voted against the Federal marriage Amendment Act, which would have defined marriage as between a man and a woman.

Sadly, many people have not been educated as to the real issues in this campaign.
Life issues are the most important, for without life, we have nothing. Obama, cares nothing about innocent children, or the lives of others, as he only cares about himself, making a name for himself. He has succumbed to the evils in society. He is a coward, as he certainly doesn’t have the courage to stand up for God and His Commandments. Please, continue to educate others about him and the evil he supports.

Above all — encourage others to pray ~ Divine Help is Needed!
Our country has been blessed by God. We have all good things because of God. One cannot expect our blessings to continue if we are on the road to perdition, turning away from God. Prayers are needed! Pray for our country and its people. God’s Commandments are Commandments — they must be obeyed. Period! They must be obeyed in the voting booth.

We must NOT support evil.
We must NOT support Obama in any way.
We are commanded by God to obey His Commandments. Let’s have the courage to do so.
