Some opponents of Proposition 8 compiled this information and created Web sites with maps showing the locations of homes or businesses of Proposition 8 supporters.

Many supporters (or their customers) suffered property damage, or threats of physical violence or death, as a result. They cited these incidents in a complaint they filed after the 2008 election, seeking to invalidate California’s mandatory disclosure laws.

Supporters recounted being told: “Consider yourself lucky. If I had a gun I would have gunned you down along with each and every other supporter,” or, “we have plans for you and your friends.”

Proposition 8 opponents also allegedly harassed the measure’s supporters by defacing or damaging their property. Two religious organizations supporting Proposition 8 reportedly received through the mail envelopes containing a white powdery substance.

Out of control homosexuals attack Catholic procession

The Christians rallied at St. Stephen’s Cathedral to conduct what they termed a ‘procession of prayerful atonement’ (“Sühnegebetzug”).  There was a processional crucifix, people praying the Rosary, and a priest in black cassock.  The atonement was for the homosexual rainbow parade Regenbogenparade”) taking place concurrently nearby.

The prayer procession was severely disrupted when the Christians were attacked by what amounted to a mob of screaming and chanting homosexual activists from the rainbow parade.  These had to be restrained by police, some of whom were special task force units, such as the WEGA, a special unit of the Austrian police in Vienna.  Canine units were also deployed, as well as a police unit equipped with shields and helmets.   One homosexual activist attacked the  prayer procession and tore up a sign which read: “Opposed to Homosexual Adoption for the Welfare of Children.”   This individual  was arrested by the police.

Government against the People

If there is a single feature distinguishing the left from the rest of civil society, it is the willingness to use force.   While claiming to be for the people, the statists consistently use force against others.  The use of force and disrespect for the property of others by the Wisconsin union mobs and the occupy-wall-street crowd are in sharp contrast with respectful and peaceful Tea Party demonstrations.  Indeed, civil society proponents like the Tea Party oppose the use of force — for example, when they advocate for reducing the size and intrusiveness of government or for repealing Obamacare.

The goals of the left can be implemented only by using force.  The centerpiece of leftist politics, redistribution of wealth, requires taking by force from those who have.  Proponents of higher taxes for “the wealthy” never advocate voluntary contributions; instead, they go for the full power of the federal government, including the threat of jail.  Government control of health care (Obamacare) forces everyone to purchase insurance, forces the states to comply, forces employers to offer coverage, and dictates what kind of policies insurance companies can offer.

Big trouble in Dearborn-i-stan (Dearborn, Michigan)

The violent intimidation of anti-jihadists that I just saw in Stuttgart is coming to America.

Authorities should act quickly and decisively to defend the freedom of speech, or it will most assuredly soon be gone.

As Pamela Geller notes, these stories involve “two Christian groups, both under attack in a no-go zone zone in Dearborn, Michigan, in an increasingly sharia compliant America.

Dearborn, the same city that refused to run my bus ads offering help to apostates (despite our win in the courts). On Friday, two separate groups were threatened and attacked because they came to Dearborn to stand for their beliefs.
