Silent holocaust: 3.8 million embryonic souls destroyed in order for 122,000 babies to be born.

The Daily Telegraph this weekend reports on a new expert study which has raised fears that some clinics may be offering techniques that put the embryo at risk for their own profit.

The review, carried out by Dr Justin McCracken, the former head of the Health Protection Agency, highlighted a new technique, known as Pre-Implantation Genetic Screening (PGS), as one which is possibly being offered inappropriately for commercial reasons.

Editor’s note: Unlike the Catholic Church, which condemns all procedures that destroy human embryos, which are in truth, minimally developed, living human beings, the Daily Telegraph sees this only as a consumer fraud issue.

The big prize money and recognition in medicine comes with killing babies, not saving them.

Inventor of IVF Wins Nobel Prize.

Millions of babies born. Millions more dead or frozen. That is just the kind of progress that the Nobel committee likes.

British scientist Robert Edwards, the man who devised the fertility treatment IVF, has been awarded this year’s Nobel prize for medicine.

His efforts in the 1950s, 60s and 70s led to the birth of the world’s first “test tube baby” in July 1978.

Since then nearly four million babies have been born following IVF.

The prize committee said his achievements had made it possible to treat infertility, a medical condition affecting 10% of all couples worldwide

Read that last sentence again, “his achievements had made it possible to treat infertility.” Without IVF there are NO OTHER treatments for infertility? Fuzzy science and fuzzy reporting go hand in hand.

I suppose it should come as no surprise to anyone that Edwards beat out the Japanese scientist that discovered how to make stem cells from ordinary skin cells.

The big prize money and recognition in medicine comes with killing babies, not saving them.

When the Kids Grow Up and Find Out About the Test Tubes

Although they clearly face elevated health risks for a number of diseases and physical disorders, the psychological effects on these children have not been thoroughly studied. Nevertheless, children born from other, closely related technologies, like anonymous sperm donation, are starting to be tracked, and researchers are finding that these children face significant difficulties in dealing with their feelings and emotions as they grow older. They oftentimes struggle with their own sense of dignity and identity, with their need for a father, and with a desire to understand their family connection.

U.S. Bishops “Disappointed” by Obama’s Abortion Policies

bishopsusccb

Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Until Catholics everywhere, including both laity and clergy, start acting like Catholics again, we can expect more of the same from the Obama administration.

Obama’s changes to the Mexico City policy affect Catholics all around the world. What are we doing in response? Our USCCB bishops sent Obama a letter stating that they are “disappointed”.

There’s heroic virtue for you. No wonder Catholics get no respect, deferring to limp-wristed “leadership” such as this!

Francis Cardinal George is the head of the USCCB. The Chicago Archdiocese, of which he is also the head, recently managed to cobble together a Chicago March for Life that included some 40 people, and about half of those 40 were from other dioceses.

Forty people … from one of the largest “Catholic” Archdioceses in the world! Not one priest or bishop from the Chicago Archdiocese was present. Not one!

When asked why HE wasn’t there, the good Cardinal explained that he “had to be in Rome”. Maybe he ought to stay in Italy! I heard that Cardinal Law has an opening available for an assistant.

Chicago’s Holy Name Cathedral:

For one thing, the inside of the cathedral is ugly … more like a Presbyterian church than anything authentically Catholic.

The stained glass is plain, and tells us nothing about the great truths and traditions of the Catholic faith.

The statuary is sparse, and done in a motif that is most reminiscent of the “Clay People” from the old “Flash Gordon” series. Nobody can be sure WHAT the statues actually represent.

There is no real crucifix. Instead, we have some sort of a “hybrid” floating Christ, surrounded by floating rock, in the shape of a cross. It also is ugly.

The sanctuary itself is dank and dark. Sparsely furnished, with chairs for the presider and a couple of assistants, backed by dark wood paneling. Nothing of beauty to be seen. Nothing else there, other than  a very large, stone altar.

The most common decorative feature of the cathedral  appears to be a series of big, dark grey … almost black, marble panels, with a lighter shade of  “marbling” throughout.

They look like those ink blot tests. Rorschach tests. I call them “Saint Rorschach”.

Then there’s the tabernacle, situated to the left of the sanctuary. It’s shaped like a bowling ball, only bright silver in color. Surrounded by ugly, squiggly, wrought iron work that’s vaguely reminiscent of hell.

Nothing in that cathedral serves to proclaim anything at all that might be authentically Catholic. People seem to like the carved wood ceiling. I say, “What a waste!” Many of  the priest’s homilies are also at least moderately heretical.  Perhaps the place is a shrine to ecumenicalism.

It should be noted that, over the last couple of years, some strange things have been occurring at Holy Name Cathedral, which is the Cardinal’s “home” church.

While processing up to the altar at the start of the Easter Mass, the Cardinal inexplicably lost his footing and ended up flat on the floor.

A short while later, the roof of the cathedral fell in.

Just last week, the place burned. Fortunately, the structure was saved.

That cathedral seems to be a microcosm for the entire archdiocese, not to mention the USCCB, and perhaps, today’s world-wide Catholic Church!

It’s probably redundant to point out that Chicago is also the home town of the Daley Political Machine, Barack Obama, and Rod Blagoyevich. All of whom are great friends with the Cardinal. All are also solidly pro-abortion. Many are Catholic.

This is a great scandal!

We need to call an end to this post-Vatican II era and initiate a world-wide Catholic Renaissance, without delay. And the very first priority of this Catholic Renaissance must be life.

Fifty million have died from abortion in this country since Roe vs. Wade became the law of the land, and our bishops have progressed from being confused, to unconcerned, to aware, and recently, to disappointed.

Perhaps after another fifty million die, we’ll actually start to DO something about the problem.  If we had responded to Pearl Harbor in this manner, we would all be speaking Japanese, today.

Ladies and gentlemen: we’ve prayed, we’ve counseled, we’ve demonstrated, we’ve sent letters and postcards. Nothing has really worked, and the enemy is beginning to consolidate his evil power.

If the Catholic Church can spend 2.5 billion dollars paying off the victims of abuse, we should be able to scrape together a couple of hundred million each year to fund an anti-abortion campaign that has some “teeth” in it.

The first thing we need is a sweeping, dogmatic, Ex Cathedra statement from the Pope on life issues, defining without exception, the responsibilities of every Catholic lay person, clergyman, politician, doctor, lawyer, judge, soldier, and law enforcement officer.

Nothing less will do.

If they don’t want to live up to their responsibilities as Catholics, let them go somewhere else. We don’t need them. They’re just another part of the problem. Excommunicate the bastards! All of  them. Then we remaining Catholics will need to reallocate and retask all the resources of the Church, solely towards promoting life, and to making more good Catholics.

Let the government feed, clothe, and house the poor. Let the government provide for the health care needs of the masses.

We need to focus all our resources on preventing abortion and euthanasia, and fighting embryonic stem cell research, invitro fertilization, cloning, and other, similarly evil and immoral activities.

We need to be prepared to spend whatever it costs to save babies from abortion, whether we have to “ransom” them, support them (and their moms), or adopt them.

The situation calls for unrestricted pro-life spiritual and temporal warfare, and nothing less!

What would Jesus do?
  John 10:10
“The thief cometh not, but that he may steal, and kill, and destroy:
I came that they may have life,
and may have it abundantly.”

Canon 212.3 states: “According to the knowledge, competence, and prestige which they possess, [the faithful] have the right and even the duty to manifest to the sacred pastors their opinion on matters which pertain to the good of the Church and to make their opinion known to the rest of the Christian faithful, without prejudice to the integrity of the faith and morals, with reverence toward their pastors, and attentive to common advantage and the dignity of persons.”

Please pray about it … and pray hard … then let’s all get together and DO something!
