“Avoid contact. Very primitive. They kill their young so they can live as they wish.”

The issue of abortion really comes down to two very basic, rational issues:

If an abortion really involves the removal of nothing more than growing tissue within the womb, then no justification is necessary.

If abortion actually involves taking the life of an innocent, unborn child, then no justification is sufficient.

Nun teaching the authentic faith in Catholic school shocks teachers, bewilders students, outrages parents

sisterlaurel

Sister Jane Dominic Laurel (The Terrible?)

The Rev. Tim Reid, pastor of St. Ann Catholic Church, sent an email lauding the nun, saying “she represented well the Catholic positions on marriage, sex, same-sex attraction and proper gender roles … The Church has already lost too many generations of Catholic schools students to … a very muddled and watered-down faith.”

Charlotte Catholic High School has invited parents to a meeting Wednesday night to air concerns many of them – and their kids – had about a recent speaker’s comments about homosexuality, divorce and single parents.

Sister Jane Dominic Laurel, a Dominican nun based in Nashville, Tenn., addressed a student assembly on March 21. Days later, some students launched an online petition that called her comments “offensive and unnecessarily derogatory.”

Editor’s note: In the roughly 4,500 year history of the Judeo-Christian religions there is a long standing tradition of killing prophets who dare to proclaim the authentic Word of God to the people. It’s amazing that so little has changed, over the years.

I ran into much the same type of thing while teaching an 8th grade Confirmation Prep Class at a local Catholic Religious Education Program. I made the “mistake” of (privately) asking each student if they were in the habit of regularly attending  Sunday Mass. Since nine of twelve students did not, I devoted our next class session to a review of Church teaching on worship, Mass attendance, Holy Days of obligation, etc. I also explained that, absent extraordinary circumstances, deliberately missing Mass on a Sunday or a Holy Day, objectively constituted a mortal sin.

The resulting “firestorm” of parent complaints necessitated a special meeting before the next scheduled class, where the Religious Ed director and I personally met with half a dozen irate parents. After absorbing twenty minutes worth of critical comments and vitriol, I read aloud the three paragraphs most pertinent to the Sunday/Holy Day Mass obligation, from the Catechism of the Catholic Church:

The Sunday obligation

2180 The precept of the Church specifies the law of the Lord more precisely: “On Sundays and other holy days of obligation the faithful are bound to participate in the Mass.”117 “The precept of participating in the Mass is satisfied by assistance at a Mass which is celebrated anywhere in a Catholic rite either on the holy day or on the evening of the preceding day.”118

2181 The Sunday Eucharist is the foundation and confirmation of all Christian practice. For this reason the faithful are obliged to participate in the Eucharist on days of obligation, unless excused for a serious reason (for example, illness, the care of infants) or dispensed by their own pastor.119 Those who deliberately fail in this obligation commit a grave sin.

2182 Participation in the communal celebration of the Sunday Eucharist is a testimony of belonging and of being faithful to Christ and to his Church. The faithful give witness by this to their communion in faith and charity. Together they testify to God’s holiness and their hope of salvation. They strengthen one another under the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

Then I asked if there were any questions. You could have heard a pin drop!

Medical student describes exactly what happened in the operating room as he witnessed an abortion

When I entered the operating room, it felt like any other I had ever been in.

On the table in front of me, I saw a woman, legs up as if delivering a child although she was asleep. Next to her was a tray of instruments for the abortion and a vacuum machine for suctioning the fetal tissues from the uterus.

The doctors put on their gowns and masks and the procedure began. The cervix was held open with a crude metal instrument and a large transparent tube was stuck inside of the woman. Within a matter of seconds, the machine’s motor was engaged and blood, tissue, and tiny organs were pulled out of their environment into a filter.

A minute later, the vacuum choked to a halt. The tube was removed, and stuck to the end was a small body and a head attached haphazardly to it, what was formed of the neck snapped.

The ribs had formed with a thin skin covering them, the eyes had formed, and the inner organs had begun to function. The tiny heart of the fetus, obviously a little boy, had just stopped — forever.

The vacuum filter was opened, and the tiny arms and legs that had been torn off of the fetus were accounted for. The fingers and toes had the beginnings of their nails on them.

The doctors, proud of their work, reassembled the body to show me. Tears welled up in my eyes as they removed the baby boy from the table and shoved his body into a container for disposal.

The Pope condemns abortion, in no uncertain terms.

“Noticing that frequently by various Apostolic Constitutions the audacity and daring of most profligate men, who know no restraint, of sinning with license against the commandment “do not kill” was repressed; We who are placed by the Lord in the supreme throne of justice, being counseled by a most just reason, are in part renewing old laws and in part extending them in order to restrain with just punishment the monstrous and atrocious brutality of those who have no fear to kill most cruelly fetuses still hiding in the maternal viscera. Who will not detest such an abhorrent and evil act, by which are lost not only the bodies but also the souls?”

“Non-profit” Planned Parenthood made $150 million from the mass slaughter of 333,964 children in 2011.

Meanwhile, the annual report reveals PPFA generated nearly $1.2 billion in total income — just short of the $1.22 billion mark that was its record for income that it posted in 2010-2011.

PPFA’s income included a hefty and ever-increasing check from American taxpayers. In 2009-2010, government funding reached a whopping $487.4 million. In 2010-2011 the figure jumped to $538.5 million. The total for 2011-2012 reached a staggering $542.4 million, which represents 45.2 percent of the group’s total annual budget.

“For decades now, Planned Parenthood has operated the most proficient killing machine in the United States,” said Douglas R. Scott, Jr., president of the Planned Parenthood watchdog organization Life Decisions International (LDI), a Planned Parenthood watchdog group. “And the machine has set yet another record.”

Editor’s note: Your tax dollars at work!

When 27 people are killed in Connecticut it’s called a massacre. When 27 people are killed at the local Planned Parenthood it’s called “an average week”.

Yesterday I compared the school shooting in Newtown, Connecticut to the abortion holocaust and questioned our President’s reaction to this tragedy. I used the calls for gun control laws to say I wanted laws to control scalpels and suction machines that are used to kill children. I talked about how whenever anyone’s child is being killed either inside or outside the womb the world should be outraged.

I was told that it is just too soon to compare things like these because those people just died and everyone needed time to grieve. While I am so very saddened by their deaths and I too am grieving, I am also saddened that since that attack in Connecticut, more than 7,000 innocent human persons have been killed in abortion clinics. Since January 22 of 1973 over 55,000,000 innocent human beings have been killed by surgical abortion in America alone. It is not too soon; it is actually long overdue.

I am being told that I am just opportunistic. Yes, I am. I am using this opportunity to bring to light the senseless and brutal murder of millions of innocent children who deserve to have their deaths mourned. I am using this opportunity to show the hypocrisy of a nation who defends, protects and funds the murder of her own citizens in the name of choice.

President Obama: “I hope that over the next several days, next several weeks and next several months, we all reflect on how we can do something about some of the senseless violence that ends up marring this country.”

The President wasn’t talking about the 3000+ totally innocent babies who were wantonly slaughtered today (and every day) by abortion. He was talking about the 7 adults and 20 children who were tragically shot to death by a crazed gunman in Newtown, Connecticut.

Heart rending testimony of a former abortion clinic worker who left her job and has since become a Christian.

My official title at the mill was “health worker.” I did various duties-lab work, leading groups (deceiving women about their abortions), “advocating” (deceiving women during their abortions), and assisting the abortionist, which included helping during the abortion and checking to make sure all the parts of the baby were there in the collection jar afterwards. I will never forget, in the second-trimester abortions, holding those little feet up to a chart on the wall to make sure of the age of the baby.

Just like everyone else employed there I laughed at the pro-lifers outside the mill and hardened my heart against the truth. If I thought about what was really happening, it became overwhelming. So, I treated the whole issue as a joke-but somewhere along the line God started working on my heart. I started to read literature left by the pro-lifers, and pro-life books. I began to see what I was doing in a whole new light. I saw these babies for what they were-human beings. It was very hard for my heart and head to accept because I had been leaving both my heart and head at home for so long to work there.

I began looking towards God and sometimes visiting church and reading the Bible. I know that the only thing keeping me from accepting Christ into my life was the fact that I was involved in murder-the murder of those made in His image. After working there eight months, I could no longer resist God-He had awakened me to the ugliness of abortion. I knew that in every abortion a living human being is killed, and I believe that a part of the mother is killed too. In May of 1991 I left the mill and believed that I had shut the door on my abortion experience.

Research: Why women have abortions even when they understand it means killing their own child?

The summary report of the study bears the intriguing title “Abortion: The Least Of Three Evils-Understanding the Psychological Dynamics of How Women Feel About Abortion.” The report suggests that women do not see any “good” resulting from an unplanned pregnancy. Instead they must weigh what they perceive as three “evils,” namely, motherhood, adoption, and abortion.

Unplanned motherhood, according to the study, represents a threat so great to modern women that it is perceived as equivalent to a “death of self.” While the woman may rationally understand this is not her own literal death, her emotional, subconscious reaction to carrying the child to term is that her life will be “over.” This is because many young women of today have developed a self-identity that simply does not include being a mother. It may include going through college, getting a degree, obtaining a good job, even getting married someday; but the sudden intrusion of motherhood is perceived as a complete loss of control over their present and future selves. It shatters their sense of who they are and will become, and thereby paralyzes their ability to think more rationally or realistically.

When these women evaluate the abortion decision, therefore, they do not, as a pro-lifer might, formulate the problem with the radically distinct options of either “I must endure an embarrassing pregnancy” or “I must destroy the life of an innocent child.” Instead, their perception of the choice is either “my life is over” or “the life of this new child is over.” Given this perspective, the choice of abortion becomes one of self-preservation, a much more defensible position, both to the woman deciding to abort and to those supporting her decision.

Former abortionist sees the light

He described the experience of watching “the life drain from them” from just inches away:

“As you do the procedure, you begin to kill another human being up close. That reality goes through your hand and into your heart. [Performing abortions] hardens your heart every time, because you have to continually justify your actions to yourself.”

What Akin should have said

Image

by Doug Lawrence

What Missouri Congressman Akin should have said about women, rape, and abortion is that every life, no matter how or why it begins, is sacred, because God is the author of life. Consequently, every living thing belongs first to God, not man. And that’s something every God fearing person should always keep in mind.

In the case of human beings, special circumstances apply. Made in the image and likeness of God, and called to be in a very special type of covenant with him, every individual is conceived according to God’s very own eternal plan, a plan that is without doubt, mysterious and hard for us to understand … yet unquestionably ordered to the ultimate good of all.

One of the unique aspects of that divine plan is the awesome, transforming power of God’s grace, which is more than powerful enough to bring about good from evil, hope from despair, life from lust, and even selfless charity from moral bankruptcy.

In short, it’s totally unjust and criminal to rape a woman, but it’s even more unjust and criminal to take the life of a totally innocent and helpless babe in the womb.

The proper role of government in the case of rape should be securing justice for all. And there’s plenty of ways to achieve that … without killing anyone!

Supreme Court: Abortion is legal – just another way of managing a pregnancy. Supreme Being: Thou Shall Not Kill. What’s a person of conscience to do?

The correct answer is the biggest “no-brainer” in the history of Earth … if you happen to believe in God!

The dirty truth about the relationship between Planned Parenthood and Susan G. Komen: Killing cancer is popular. Killing babies is not.

… Planned Parenthood isn’t really in the cancer-fighting business. They are in the public relations business—this by the necessity of the unsavory nature of their real line of work. That’s where breast cancer “screenings” come into play. Like a gangster ostentatiously  bankrolling the local patron saint’s festival, Planned Parenthood flashes the pink ribbon to distract from its grisly raison d’être.

Baptist Minister/Abortionist admits to being a killer. Cites “a higher level of moral development than probably most anyone else.”

Boyd is certainly not new to the abortion business nor to claiming divine endorsement for what he admits is direct killing. In an article for the pro-abortion publication Voices of Choice, Boyd admits to having been an abortionist in the Sixties prior to the Roe v. Wade decision which legalized abortion. He claimed that the decision to have an abortion is “responsible” and even more “moral” than the decision to choose life.

Forget PETA! How about PETH (People for the Ethical Treatment of Humans)?

I’ve seen cars with a bumper sticker on one side saying ‘Pro Choice’ and a bumper sticker on the other side saying ‘The question is not, can they reason? nor, can they talk? But, can they suffer?’ with a picture of a cow.  This same person is worried about a cow suffering and not a human baby that was ripped apart in the womb, or worse yet, born alive and then stabbed with a pair of scissors to make sure it doesn’t survive.

If you think I’m kidding or making this up, you’re dead wrong.

Mother Teresa on abortion

“I feel that the greatest destroyer of peace today is abortion, because it is a war against the child, a direct killing of the innocent child, murder by the mother herself, and if we accept that a mother can kill even her own child, how can we tell other people not to kill one another?”

Blessed Teresa of Calcutta (Mother Teresa) died September 5, 1997.

In the Presence of Holiness

Day one of the Chicago area “Face the Truth” Tour

We had an excellent first day of the Tour.

God is good, the weather fantastic. The boys and I were approached by a man wanting to know our feelings about a women who became pregnant by rape. He knew of a 14 year old girl who was gang raped by her father’s friends, while her father did nothing.

As terrible as the story is, it has little to do with the killing of her baby. I told him that killing her child will only add to the pain and horror, it may also leave her sterile, and could have other affects on her such as breast cancer, psychological damage or even death!.

I wish I told him that by killing the baby, you are only enabling the perpetrators to do the same. He didn’t want to hear it. Eventually, I started following him until he turned and went into a liquor store. Later, I thought to myself, why didn’t this man get the police involved? He seemed so concerned. Mercy!

Other than that, a great lunch was provided by St. Mary’s in Plainfield. Tomorrow will be a great day in Aurora/Naperville!

Feticide is recommended prior to the evacuation of the uterus to stop the fetal heart.

…every now and then, something particularly cold from the abortionist world will get in through the security fence.

The cool, clinical description in this Department of Health statistics report of stopping the “fetal heart” as a necessary preliminary to vacuuming out the child, was one of those for me today. I realise it’s becoming a tired analogy, but does this language not in fact rival for clarity that used by the Death Camp officials? The Nazis used euphemistic terms like “special treatment”.

The UK health department has dropped all pretense that they don’t know precisely what they are talking about.

Soldiers without boundaries: How Osama bin Laden was finally found and killed.

In Peshawar’s smog-filled congested streets last July, a white Suzuki car was tailed by another vehicle carrying Pakistanis working for the CIA. Inside the Suzuki was a Kuwait-born Pakistani whose pseudonym was Abu Ahmad al-Kuwaiti. His real name was Arshad Khan.

It had been years of painstaking intelligence work and a long haul for the CIA to get this close to their target. For years the American agency had been compiling detailed dossiers on al-Qaeda’s foot soldiers, couriers and bank-rollers. Many of the nuggets of information had come from far away and often dark and dubious places. Al-Qaeda commanders incarcerated at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba admitted they knew the “most trusted” courier and that al-Kuwaiti had connections with “the sheikh” – ie, bin Laden.
