Notorious Late-Term Abortion Practitioner Compares George Tiller to Martin Luther King

In a new interview, late-term abortion practitioner LeRoy Carhart compared slain colleague George Tiller to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Carhart also compares pro-life advocates to the Klu Klux Klan and the comments are drawing condemnation from King’s family.

Dr. Alveda King, the niece of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and a woman who takes a strong pro-life position following multiple abortions she regrets, took exception to Carhart’s comments. “For LeRoy Carhart to mention the murder of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., who worked through peaceful and non-violent means, in the same breath with that of George Tiller, whose work ended peace and brought violence to babies in the womb, is offensive beyond belief,” she told LifeNews.com. “The analogy is just wrong.”

Nebraska abortionist “filled with rage” … plans to “take over” Tiller’s grisly work

Wichita, KS (LifeNews.com) — Nebraska-based abortion practitioner LeRoy Carhart will take over the Wichita, Kansas abortion center formerly run by slain late-term abortion practitioner George Tiller. Carhart is most well known for his role in a Supreme Court case concerning a ban on partial-birth abortions.

When Nebraska lawmakers passed a ban on the partial-birth abortion procedure, which most Americans oppose, Carhart filed a lawsuit seeking to overturn the ban in court.

The Supreme Court ultimately ruled in his favor, but later reversed itself when Congress approved a national partial-birth abortion ban over Carhart’s objections.

Carhart and Tiller are longtime friends and associates and Carhart told the Nebraska State Paper that he would make sure late-term abortions continue at Tiller’s abortion center, which his closed this week following his shooting death on Sunday.

In his comments, Carhart called pro-life advocates “terrorists” and said Tiller’s death was “a declaration of war” from the majority of Americans who take a pro-life position on abortion.

He called pro-life Americans “fundamentalist terrorists . . . no different from al-Qaida, the Taliban or any of them.”

Carhart admitted he is “filled with rage” at pro-life people because of Tiller’s death and added that he won’t let either Tiller or his abortion center shut down.
