Quiz: What do Catholic Relief Services and Melinda Gates have in common?

Catholic Relief Services (CRS), “the official overseas relief and development agency of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops” has recently given millions to an organization that doles out contraceptives, including abortifacient ‘emergency contraception.’

The most recent CRS annual returns (2010) indicate that the largest CRS grant — $5.3 million — went to CARE, an international “relief and development organization,” that actively promotes and provides contraceptives for women in developing countries, and supports pro-abortion groups and legislation.

According to the 2010 990s, CRS gave $5,380,466 to CARE, which is noted on page 86 of the filing.

Billionaire Melinda Gates, along with Planned Parenthood and others, are meeting in London, where they plan to spend $6 billion to foist contraception on the poor women of the world.

Dear Friend,

In 15 days billionaire Melinda Gates is hosting a global summit meeting that will result in a massive new assault on the fertility of Christian women all over the world.

That’s right. A billionaire, along with monstrous groups like Planned Parenthood, are organizing a meeting of governments in London on July 11 where they will raise commitments of $6 billion per year to foist contraception on the poor women of the world.

Pro-lifers have tried desperately to get into this meeting but we are being shut out! They don’t want us anywhere near that meeting! They do not want to hear the voices of women who want their children and who are offended by such population control tactics.

But we will not be silenced!

First, I need you to go HERE and sign the Open Letter to Melinda Gates and send this email to all of your friends and family.

Second, we will deliver all of these signatures to the London conference in person. What’s more, we will personally deliver all of them to the Gates Foundation in Seattle!

Third, we will gather pro-lifers from around the world to join with us at the London conference. Even if we cannot get in, we will be there!

As of this writing, we have 15,000+ signatures from all over the world. We want at least 50,000 names!

Do I think we will change Melinda Gates’ mind? No, not a chance. But we will raise a loud voice in opposition. We will alert the world that this is happening. We will alert women in the developing world to watch out for this marauding band of population controllers!

But it starts with you!

Act now.

Scandalous Catholic billionaire Melinda Gates under the influence of the notorious LCWR sisters.

During her TEDxChange talk, she spoke of the Ursuline (LCWR) nuns who taught at her Dallas Catholic high school, nuns who “made service and social justice a high priority.” Through her work with the foundation, Gates said, “I believe that I’m applying the lessons that I learned in high school.”

Within an hour of returning to her hotel, she received a message from some of those nuns. “It was fantastic,” she says, her eyes misting for a moment. “They said, ‘We’re all for you. We know this is a difficult issue to speak on, but we absolutely believe that you’re living under Catholic values.’ And it was just so heartening.”

Editor’s note: Open public scandal used to be treated as a very serious matter by the Catholic Church. This … is a real shame!

Billionaire Melinda Gates evidently has a lot in common with Nancy Pelosi

“OK … which one of you had these unauthorized children?”

After Gates said she’d attended a Catholic high school in Dallas, Solomon queried Gates: “Do you think the pope is hurting efforts on behalf of women’s health by preaching against the use of birth control?

Gates responded: “I think we need to have birth-control tools all over the world. And he has a different position on that. But for me, I don’t choose to be part of the Catholic Church based on a particular set of rules he’s got or not. I base it on the faith that I have over time having been part of that church.”

Solomon went on to ask: “As a champion of women’s health, you presumably favor abortion rights?

(Editor’s note: Now for the “double-talk”.)

Gates demurred: “The foundation doesn’t take a position on abortion. We do take a position on reproductive-health tools. Women around the world should have a tool that helps them plan their pregnancies.”

(Editor’s note: The interviewer should have asked if abortion was one of those “tools”.)
