Planned Parenthood got $540.6 million in government grants in 2013

Since their arrival at the White House, the Obamas have masqueraded as defenders of minorities.

Nearly 36% of all abortions were performed on black children, and overall more than half of the babies killed by abortion between 2007 and 2010 were minorities.

The Obama regime awarded $1.2 billion to a group whose founder had this to say on the rights of handicapped and mentally ill and racial minorities: “human weeds ‘reckless breeders’, spawning..human beings who never should have been born.

“More children from the fit, less from the unfit—that is the chief aim of birth control.”

Rather than asking the public at large to sign Michelle Obama’s 50th Birthday Card, the Obamas should be sending the Birthday Card that counts the most to the hundreds of thousands of babies killed by abortion: life.

Making the urgent case for “saw control”.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — A man who intentionally sawed his arms to the bone in a Home Depot store in California remained hospitalized in critical condition on Thursday while investigators tried to determine what led to the horrific action.

Editor’s note: When will this blatant saw abuse come to an end? I too was once nicked by a saw. Borrowing a phrase from the First Lady, “(Name withheld) was me, and I was him.”

And all this time we thought that she thought she was Beyonce.

First lady Michelle Obama on Wednesday delivered an emotional speech about reducing gun violence that focused on slain Chicago teenager Hadiya Pendleton. The remarks were an effort to encourage business leaders to invest in opportunities for city youth, but the first lady also used the appearance to send a message to Congress about the need to pass gun reform.

“Hadiya Pendleton was me, and I was her,” Obama said at the fundraising luncheon in Chicago.

Editor’s note: No, Mrs. Obama. Society hadn’t quite yet degraded to that point when you were a little girl. Another twenty to thirty years of exclusive Democratic leadership in the City of Chicago would be required before things actually got that bad.

Whitehouse politics shamelessly injected into Oscar telecast by First Lady

The First Lady appeared via satellite to not only announce the night’s biggest prize but gave a speech extolling the virtues of the films in play. It was an unprecedented cultural power grab by the Obamas, almost daring conservative viewers to adore her as much as progressives already do.

“These nine movies took us back in time and all around the world. They made us laugh, they made us weep, and they made us grip our armrests just a little tighter. They taught us that love can endure against all odds and transform our lives in the most surprising ways. They reminded us that we can overcome any obstacle if we dig deep enough and fight hard enough and find the courage to believe in ourselves. These lessons apply to all of us no matter who we are, or what we look like, or where we come from, or who we love, but they are especially important for our young people…”

President Barack Obama is no longer running for office, yet the permanent campaign shows little sign of slowing. With this media appearance, the First Couple crossed the line into propaganda, their Cult of Personality act taking an ugly turn.

Fortnight for Freedom Issue #11: Recent speech shows the First Lady has already adopted the Catholic position against the HHS Mandate. Will her husband?

In a speech today to a conference of the African Methodist Episcopal Church, the First Lady explained her concept of citizenship by likening it to the ministry of Jesus.  Her explanation corroborates the same point that the US Conference of Catholic Bishops have been making for months about the intrusive nature of the HHS contraception mandate, emphasis mine:

“It’s kind of like church,” Obama said. “Our faith journey isn’t just about showing up on Sunday for a good sermon and good music and a good meal. It’s about what we do Monday through Saturday as well, especially in those quiet moments, when the spotlight’s not on us, and we’re making those daily choices about how to live our lives.

“We see that in the life of Jesus Christ. Jesus didn’t limit his ministry to the four walls of the church,” she said. “He was out there fighting injustice and speaking truth to power every single day. He was out there spreading a message of grace and redemption to the least, the last, and the lost. And our charge is to find Him everywhere, every day by how we live our lives.”

Obama, who is not a regular churchgoer, said citizenship like the practice of faith is “not a once-a-week kind of deal.”

“Democracy is also an everyday activity,” she said. “And being an engaged citizen should once again be a daily part of our lives.”

Yes, indeed He was.  So do churches to this day, ministering to the sick and the poor, “the least, the last and the lost” that Mrs. Obama references here.  Furthermore, Jesus did not limit His ministry to just those disciples who followed Him, but ministered to many, including Romans, in the course of His evangelization.

Oprah show: Obamas gush over meeting Pope

Obama and his wife were asked about their best moments as a family since they moved into the White House in January 2009.

“A lot of our foreign travel for me I think, watching Malia and Sasha Obama, … meet the pope,” said the first lady in remarks released of the interview’s full airing on Monday.

Michelle Obama Hosts Planned Parenthood Prez for Women’s Day

Cecile Richards sent a message on Twitter on Tuesday afternoon that she was “Celebrating the 100th anniversary of International Women’s Day at the White House with First Lady Michelle Obama.”

Other abortion advocates joined Richards, according to another tweet saying, “And with two of my heroines for women – [pro-abortion] Congresswomen Debbie Wasserman Schultz and Nita Lowey – you are amazing.”

This isn’t the first time the Obamas have given the president of the nation’s biggest abortion business access to the White House for private-invite only events or meetings.
