Ever since the close in 1965, many have treated the Second Vatican Council as if it redefined all Catholic dogmas and practices. It did not!

Vatican II aftermath:
Sadly, the Catholic Church
was the first to fall to the liberals,
the communists, and the socialists!

In fact, the liberals and the progressives inside the church used the Council as an excuse for a second, “secret and internal protestant reformation” that was accomplished stealthily and without any express authority … “CHANGE for the sake of CHANGE” … which stripped the church of holiness and virtue, much as Jesus Christ was stripped of his garments, prior to being scourged!

For more than a generation, faithful Catholics have been victimized by a host of misguided, liberal prelates and false ideologues,  the world-over, who deliberately plunged the church into confusion, encouraging heretics and apostates of all kinds, watering down the true faith, while “scourging” Traditional Catholics, whenever and wherever possible, in both word and deed.

By their fruits you shall know them.

Matthew 7:15-20  Beware of false prophets, who come to you in the clothing of sheep, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.  By their fruits you shall know them. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?  Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit, and the evil tree bringeth forth evil fruit.  A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can an evil tree bring forth good fruit.  Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit, shall be cut down, and shall be cast into the fire.  Wherefore by their fruits you shall know them.

The fruit of the post-Vatican II Catholic Church is confusion, disunity, scandal, abortion, rampant homosexuality, and world-wide apostasy!

While we Catholics have a divine guarantee that the gates of hell will never prevail against the church, there is no such assurance against divine chastisement, which is precisely what we deserve, unless and until we do what’s necessary to put God’s House back in proper order.

Time’s awasting!

Penance, sacrifice, prayer, and fasting … coupled with strategic action … is what’s needed now … along with new and continued emphasis on Traditional Catholic catechesis and practice.

The time for blind obedience is most definitely over, since obedience to apostasy is a sin! See article here.

As Mother Teresa was known to say, on more than one occasion, “Do not wait for leaders. Do it alone … person to person.”

It’s time we started at the top, cleaning out bloated diocesan bureaucracies, unnecessary staff and programs, returning autonomy to the individual parishes, where things rightly belong.

Our patterns of giving should support these new priorities,
with NO related  guilt trips … and absolutely NO backsliding!

It’s also high time we got rid of the highly educated and highly paid apostates who secretly run our Catholic dioceses and seminaries, at the behest of totally unaccountable Catholic bishops, who see no reason to rock their own little worlds, since doing so might inconvenience them, or otherwise serve to complicate their otherwise sheltered and tranquil existences.

After that, we can work to reestablish the Traditional structures and authentically Catholic religious orders that originally served so well, to rebuild western civilization (in the image of Heaven) after the fall of Rome.

We could use some very significant rebuilding right now … especially in the areas of Catholic education, abortion, building up of the family, and promoting a genuine resurgence in personal morality at all levels of society!

If not us Catholics, then who? If not now, when?

“The Second Vatican Council has not been treated as a part of the entire living Tradition of the Church, but as an end of Tradition, a new start from zero. The truth is that this particular council defined no dogma at all, and deliberately chose to remain on a modest level, as a merely pastoral council; and yet many treat it as though it had made itself into a sort of superdogma which takes away the importance of all the rest.”
– Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger, now Pope Benedict XVI, July 13, 1988, Santiago, Chile.

“The tail of the devil is functioning in the disintegration of the Catholic world. The darkness of Satan has entered and spread throughout the Catholic Church even to its summit. Apostasy, the loss of the faith, is spreading throughout the world and into the highest levels within the Church.” – Pope Paul VI, October 13, 1977

“Naked progressivism, and change for the sake of change” may still constitute a semi-popular political movement, but it no longer has any place in the Holy Catholic Church!

“Naked progressivism” in the Joliet Diocese: What happened to the real Anima Christi Prayer?

What Happened to the REAL Anima Christi Prayer?

The Diocese of Joliet, Illinois website explains:

This year as we celebrate the diocesan “Year of the Eucharist,” we have chosen “One in the Body and Blood of the Lord” as the theme for the 2010 Catholic Ministries Annual Appeal. It is a very appropriate choice, for Psalm 34 invites us to “Taste and See the Goodness of the Lord.”

Then, we are given a prayer called the Anima Christi, which is a totally new (Jesuit) version of what has up until just now, always been an old favorite of traditional Catholics, going way back to the 14th century.

The original Anima Christi prayer goes like this:

Soul of Christ, sanctify me
Body of Christ, save me
Blood of Christ, inebriate me
Water from Christ’s side, wash me
Passion of Christ, strengthen me
O good Jesus, hear me
Within Thy wounds hide me
Suffer me not to be separated from Thee
From the malicious enemy defend me
In the hour of my death call me
And bid me come unto Thee
That I may praise Thee with Thy saints

and with Thy angels
Forever and ever
Amen

The NEW (Joliet progressive version) goes like this:

Jesus, may all that is you flow into me.
May your Body and Blood be my food and drink.
May your passion and death be my strength and life.
Jesus, with you by my side enough has been given.
May the shelter I seek be the shadow of your cross.
Let me not run from the love which you offer,
but hold me safe from the forces of evil.
On each of my dyings shed your light and your love.
Keep calling to me until that day comes,
when, with your saints, I may praise you forever. Amen.

Lord Jesus, Bread of Life and Covenant of Love –
Nourish us with your Body and Blood

Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament –
Pray for us

Perhaps you don’t care if the Catholic Church
swaps out things like prayers with impunity, but I do.
If you agree, respectfully mention it to your pastor,
or send an email to the diocese:
