Petition says Fatima message of 1917 anticipated current crisis in the church, urges prompt action

… Indeed, Holy  Father,  in  1931  the  future  Pope  Pius  XII  predicted precisely the current situation in the Church in light of the Message of
Fatima:

I am worried by the Blessed Virgin’s messages to Lucy of Fatima. This  persistence  of  Mary  about  the  dangers  which  menace  the Church is a divine warning against the suicide of altering the Faith, in Her liturgy, Her theology and Her soul. … A day will come when the civilized world will deny its God, when the Church will doubt as Peter doubted. She will be tempted to believe that man has become God. In our churches, Christians will search in vain for the red lamp
where God awaits them. Like Mary Magdalene, weeping before the empty tomb, they will ask, “Where have they taken Him?”

Holy Father, what Pope Pius XII foresaw has happened! And given that Pius XII  foresaw  these developments  in  light of Fatima,  they can only have been mentioned  in the Third Secret since those portions of the Message of Fatima thus far disclosed say nothing about such events in the Church.

We  also  know, Holy  Father,  that  Pope  John  Paul  II  alluded  to  the Third Secret in his sermon at Fatima on May 13, 2000, which warns the
Church to beware of the tail of the dragon that drags down one-third of the stars of Heaven (commonly interpreted as one-third of the Cardinals,
bishops and priests).

Gainesville Voters Set to Reverse Radical Homosexual Ordinance

Gainesville Voters Set to Reverse Radical Homosexual Ordinance

ANN ARBOR, MI – Ignoring enormous community opposition, the Gainesville, Florida City Council earlier this year enacted an ordinance that granted special privileges to men who perceive themselves as women to use women’s bathrooms in any school, business or public facility. As a result, a coalition of citizens and businesses, in Gainesville, formed “Citizens for Good Public Policy, ” for the purpose of enacting a Charter Amendment that would prevent the addition of such bizarre special categories to the City’s civil rights ordinance.

The group gathered 8,800 signatures, several thousand more than the 5,581 needed to place the Charter Amendment proposal on the March 2009 ballot. The supervisor of elections for Gainesville has until September 14, 2008 to certify the signatures. If passed by the voters, the Charter Amendment will invalidate the City Council’s recently enacted “gender identity” category, which most citizens agree creates awkward and potentially harmful situations.

The Thomas More Law Center, a national public interest law firm based in Ann Arbor, Michigan has been acting as legal counsel for Citizens for Good Public Policy. It has also been assisting leaders of other Florida Christian groups in their efforts to reverse the tide of the radical homosexual agenda, including David Caton of the “Florida Family Association” and Dennis Baxley of the “Christian Coalition of Florida.”

Richard Thompson, President and Chief Counsel of the Thomas More Law Center stated, “The concept of ‘gender identity’ was fashioned by radical homosexual groups and advocates to protect the bizarre sexual behavior of a few people. In practical effect, these types of ordinances end up being used to intimidate and prosecute Christians and anyone else who raises objections to this form of deviant behavior.”

The Charter Amendment would provide uniformity with established state and federal discrimination laws and eliminate the undue burden that special categories place on the activities and financial resources of citizens, businesses and taxpayers in Gainesville, Florida.

Cain Davis, the head of “Citizens For Good Public Policy” commented about gathering well over the requisite number of signatures, “The high number of petitions signed by the citizens of Gainesville serves as an indicator of the power held by citizens over elected officials who choose to push a far-left national agenda.” (Watch their video here.)

Community leaders also plan to run a slate of candidates during this election to have the city council reflect their values more than the current regime.

Dennis Baxley, Executive Director of the Christian Coalition of Florida commented, “The ‘Citizens for Good Public Policy’ have lead an outstanding effort and have shown that extremists with special rights agendas can be stopped, even in a liberal university town. Their successful petition drive demonstrates that government still belongs to the people who want liberty and justice for all, not special rights for special groups.”

The Thomas More Law Center will continue to act as legal council for “Citizens For Good Public Policy” throughout the signature verification process, the election, and after to help ensure the will of the people is not subverted by legal maneuvering of the current biased city council, or other radical groups bent on undermining the good people of Gainesville, Florida.

The Thomas More Law Center defends and promotes the religious freedom of Christians, time-honored family values, and the sanctity of human life through litigation, education, and related activities. It does not charge for its services. The Law Center is supported by contributions from individuals, corporations and foundations, and is recognized by the IRS as a section 501(c)(3) organization. Family Advocates Take McDonald’s Boycott to Home of the Golden Arches After “Hate” Smear

Family Advocates Take McDonald’s Boycott to Home of the Golden Arches After “Hate” Smear

By Peter J. Smith

OAK BROOK, Illinois, July 16, 2008 (LifeSiteNews.com) – The boycott against McDonald’s over its public support of a gay lobby group pushing same-sex “marriage” has now escalated, as the pro-family groups the global hamburger giant accused recently of “hate” have brought the fight right to the home of the famed Golden Arches.

The American Family Association (AFA), Americans for Truth, the Illinois Family Institute, and the legal advocacy group Liberty Counsel held a joint press conference Wednesday in front of the McDonald’s restaurant across from McDonald’s corporate headquarters in Oak Brook, Illinois to protest the corporation’s statements that people opposed to its support of the National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC), were motivated by “hate.”

The family groups had asked McDonald’s to stop supporting the NGLCC, which advocates same-sex “marriage,” and repeated their call for McDonald’s to remain neutral in the culture wars.

“Unfortunately, McDonalds has chosen to side with militant homosexual activists over people with traditional values,” stated Matt Barber, Director of Cultural Affairs with Liberty Counsel. “The company has further escalated the controversy by lodging a personal attack against the tens of millions of Americans who support traditional sexual morality and legitimate marriage.”

Barber continued, “While referring to Christians and other people with traditional values, McDonald’s spokesman Bill Whitman arrogantly told the Washington Post that, ‘Hatred has no place in our culture,’ thereby suggesting that people who support the historical definition of marriage are simply motivated by ‘hate.’

“This insult is highly offensive, and anyone who supports traditional marriage should boycott McDonalds and tell the company why they’re doing so.”

Urge Congress to stop “Drive-Through” Mastectomies!

Breast Cancer Petition. Urge Congress to stop “Drive-Through” Mastectomies!

Something important for you to consider, from a nurse:

“I’ll never forget the look in my patients eyes when I had to tell them they had to go home with the drains, new
exercises and no br east. I remember begging the Doctors to keep these women in The hospital longer, only to hear that they would, but their hands were tied by the insurance companies.

So there I sat with my patients, giving them the instructions they needed to take care of themselves, knowing full well they didn’t grasp half of what I was saying, because the glazed, hopeless, frightened look spoke louder than the quiet ‘Thank You’ they muttered.”

A mastectomy is when a woman’s breast is removed in order to remove cancerous breast cells/tissue. If you know anyone who has had a Mastectomy, you may know that there is a lot of discomfort and pain afterwards. Insurance companies are trying to make mastectomies an outpatient procedure.

Let’s give women the chance to recover properly in the hospital for 2 days after surgery.

It takes 2 seconds to do this and is very important .. Please take the time and do it really quick!

Please send this to everyone in your address book. If there was ever a time when our voices and choices should be heard, this is one of those times.

There’s a bill called the Breast Cancer Patient Protection Act which will require Insurance Companies to cover a minimum 48-hour hospital stay for patients undergoing a mastectomy. It’s about eliminating the ‘drive-through mastectomy’ where women are forced to go home just a few hours after surgery, against the wishes of their doctor, still groggy from anesthesia and sometimes with drainage tubes still attached.

Lifetime Television has put this bill on their Web page with a petition drive to show your support. Last year over half the House signed on.
