The politician’s dirty little secret: Planned Parenthood is really a “quasi-governmental agency” (like the Post Office)

by Doug Lawrence

After the failure of LBJ’s “Great Society” welfare program, where single moms received a bigger and bigger monthly check from the government, the more children they had … so long as there was no husband/father at home … the government turned to abortion and baby-killing in order to save money by reducing the number of poor people on the government dole.

Catholic politicians hired crooked theologians to fabricate policies and excuses that would permit abortion under almost every circumstance, and most non-Catholic politicians willingly went along.

The Supreme Court did their part with the trumped up and totally phony Roe v Wade, while the Catholic hierarchy … thanks primarily to the late Cardinal Bernardin, was both complicit and almost totally negligent in their lack of a sufficient, timely, and moral response to all of the above.

Planned Parenthood was subsequently given a huge annual subsidy by the federal government, along with generous supplemental funding from many of the states. Making birth control available to the masses was said to be the official objective, but abortion on demand, across the land, was always the real goal.

Abort as many black and hispanic babies as possible
in order to cheaply and efficiently
solve the poverty problem in the United States
through attrition.

It would be several years before the American public took notice of this particular paradigm shift, and by then it had gone way too far to be stopped.

Forty years later, Planned Parenthood still receives nearly a million dollars a day in federal subsidies. Abortion is still legal, still protected and still officially sanctioned by the U.S. Government.

Even though the God-fearing Democrats are known to absolutely love abortion, this is not strictly a partisan issue.

When the the Republicans recently controlled both houses of Congress as well as the Presidency, they made no real effort to outlaw abortion. All we got were a few “feel good” incremental restrictions and a short phone call from the President, to help kick off the annual Washington, D.C. March for Life.

The current fight to defund Planned Parenthood and further restrict abortion typically goes no further than the Democrat controlled Senate , where bills quickly meet their demise in committee … and even if, by some miracle, a solid anti-abortion measure got approved by both the House and Senate … Barack Obama … the Abortion President … would surely exercise his veto privilege … in order to kill it.

In light of all these years of political play acting … by politicians of both parties … I’m willing to bet anyone … $10 … that should we ever again have a Republican controlled House, Senate, and Presidency … they will still … somehow … fail to pass a comprehensive federal ban on abortion.

Any takers?

Secret Service expects agents to be celibate while on the job!

by Doug Lawrence

The U.S. government lately seems to be demanding celibacy from Secret Service agents, so why is celibacy still such a “hot button issue” when it comes to Catholic priests, who regularly deal with  matters of  life and death, and who typically remain “on-duty” 24/7 and 365, wherever they happen to be?

Some jobs simply require total dedication!

The President of the United States is not God,
no matter what our current president might believe,
yet it’s very clear that those who are dedicated
to keeping him safe must remain
totally devoted to their task.

Celibacy is not an outmoded notion. It remains a very necessary and practical discipline for many … particularly Catholic priests … and apparently … Secret Service agents.

It’s nice to see government finally coming to appreciate traditional, Catholic discipline and common sense.

Don’t you wish everybody did?

By modern secularist standards, Barack Obama’s boosterism for Islam violates the “separation between Church and state.”

By modern secularist standards, Barack Obama’s boosterism for Islam violates the “separation between Church and state.” Had George W. Bush held a rosary and modest fish dinner at the White House to mark the beginning of Lent, the ACLU left would have freaked out. But these same secularists didn’t mind Barack’s “Iftar dinner” last Friday night.

That is, until he wimped out on his endorsement of the Ground Zero mosque. Now his dinner looks to them more like the production of Ishtar, as finger-to-the-wind Dems cravenly scramble for cover. The search is on for a “compromise.” Perhaps the self-styled Solomonic Obama can convince the mosque planners to transfer their property rights to NASA. Administrator Charles Bolden could then turn the land into a satellite office for contractors who pursue the space agency’s “perhaps foremost” mission (as explained to him by Obama): “to reach out to the Muslim world and engage much more with dominantly Muslim nations to help them feel good about their historic contribution to science…and math and engineering.”

“The danger to America is not Barack Obama, but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the presidency.

It will be easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to an electorate willing to have such a man for their president.

The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails us.

Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The republic can survive a Barack Obama. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their president.”

The Popes on “the Great Washington”

Pope Leo XIII, Longinqua (Encyclical Letter, January 6, 1895):
“Precisely at the epoch when the American colonies, having, with Catholic aid, achieved liberty and independence, coalesced into a constitutional Republic the ecclesiastical hierarchy was happily established amongst you; and at the very time when the popular suffrage placed the great Washington at the helm of the Republic, the first bishop was set by apostolic authority over the American Church. The well-known friendship and familiar intercourse which subsisted between these two men seems to be an evidence that the United States ought to be conjoined in concord and amity with the Catholic Church. And not without cause; for without morality the State cannot endure-a truth which that illustrious citizen of yours, whom We have just mentioned, with a keenness of insight worthy of his genius and statesmanship perceived and proclaimed. But the best and strongest support of morality is religion. She, by her very nature, guards and defends all the principles on which duties are founded, and setting before us the motives most powerful to influence us, commands us to live virtuously and forbids us to transgress.”

Pope Pius XII, Sertum Laetitiae, 3 (Encyclical Letter, November 1, 1939):
“When Pope Pius VI gave you your first Bishop in the person of the American John Carroll and set him over the See of Baltimore, small and of slight importance was the Catholic population of your land. At that time, too, the condition of the United States was so perilous that its structure and its very political unity were threatened by grave crisis. Because of the long and exhausting war the public treasury was burdened with debt, industry languished and the citizenry wearied by misfortunes was split into contending parties. This ruinous and critical state of affairs was put aright by the celebrated George Washington, famed for his courage and keen intelligence. He was a close friend of the Bishop of Baltimore. Thus the Father of His Country and the pioneer pastor of the Church in that land so dear to Us, bound together by the ties of friendship and clasping, so to speak, each the other’s hand, form a picture for their descendants, a lesson to all future generations, and a proof that reverence for the Faith of Christ is a holy and established principle of the American people, seeing that it is the foundation of morality and decency, consequently the source of prosperity and progress.”
