Editor’s note: As we all know, “CHANGE” (renewal) is the radical’s favorite cause – much as wolves enjoy “renewing” sheep.

During the mid to late 1960’s radicals took over both the Catholic Church and the Democratic Party of the United States – and things have been going steadily downhill ever since.

Beware of anyone – inside the church or out – proposing “change” or “renewal” – especially when they refuse to provide detailed specifics.

Just consider some of the most famous quotes regarding Vatican II.

Cardinal Giuseppe Siri said, “If the Church were not Divine, the Council would have buried her.”

The liberal Cardinal Joseph Suenens rejoiced, “Vatican II is the French Revolution of the Church.”

Bishop Thomas Morrow, a prelate who participated at Vatican II, said later in life, “I was relieved when we were told that this Council was not aiming at defining or giving final statements on doctrine, because a statement of doctrine has to be very carefully formulated, and I would have regarded the Council documents as tentative and liable to be reformed.”

At the close of Vatican II, the bishops asked Council Secretary Archbishop Felici for that which the theologians call the “theological note” of the Council; that is, the doctrinal “weight” of Vatican II’s teachings. Felici replied: “We have to distinguish according to the schemas and the chapters those which have already been the subject of dogmatic definitions in the past; as for the decelerations which have a novel character, we have to make reservations.”

Liberal Protestant Observer Robert McAffee Brown, writing immediately after the Council, said he despised Pope Pius XI’s and Pope Pius XII’s magisterial pronouncement on Ecumenism (Mortalium Animos and the 1949 Decree on Ecumenism) because both documents insisted on the conversion of non-Catholics to Catholicism as one and only way to true Christian Unity. McAfee Brown went on to say he loved Vatican II’s Decree on Ecumenism because the Council text nowhere mentions the need for non-Catholics to convert to the Catholic Church.

Even Walter Cardinal Kasper, an ardent advocate of ecumenism, recently admitted the confusion within the Council texts themselves.

Editor’s note: No offense to Pope Francis for his liberal views … but liberals just love revolution … and they simply hate to give up … no matter how badly things turn out.

The “party line” of the people who run today’s Catholic Church … in its’ own special way … remains every bit as liberal, radical and lacking in essential truth as does Barack Obama’s present political regime.

In 1965, CHANGE came to the Catholic Church. And it was an unmitigated DISASTER for the entire world.

It’s high time somebody in authority cut off the head and plunged a stake through the heart of the 2nd Vatican Council … once and for all.

It’s either that … or perhaps the Holy Spirit has already abandoned the church and granted the people all the desires of their hearts. (Definitely not a good thing, since the only thing left after that is Divine Judgment and Wrath.)

The false, dark and often deadly modern concept of self fulfillment

Just as the Church opened the windows, the “Spirit of ’68″ swept through Western civilization. I recently found a rather dark article commenting on this cultural tsunami. Describing the summer of 1968, the author said, “A second hideous year of hippies with their ‘summer of love’…was just an excuse for selfish, spoiled college kids to get high, fornicate and think they were some how doing a noble thing”. Out-of-control hippies, along with protests and demonstrations, assassinations, riots, and “wars and rumors of wars” made it feel like society was collapsing.

In fact, society was collapsing. A good part of the social structure of every human society (before the present one) is the bulky but necessary walls and dams maintained by our ancestors; moral laws and social conventions designed to keep us and the people around us from doing whatever we feel like doing. There is a darkness that lurks in the human heart, and we are capable of incredible acts of destruction, and people have to be carefully formed to know what is right and prevented from doing what is wrong. This protects all of us from being damaged by the people around us and by our own bad inclinations. The “Spirit of 68″ is exactly the attitude that these moral and social restraints don’t matter, and a person should be free to do whatever feels good. The terrible truth is, sometimes it feels good to do evil.

Psychology in the Age of Obama

While the field of psychology has always been liberal, now the radicals have virtually hijacked the profession. With Obama in office, the militants are emboldened.

For instance, psychology students are indoctrinated from day one in the triumvirate of multiculturalism, social justice, and white privilege. Students are strong-armed into accepting all alternative lifestyles, even ones that diverge from their moral principles. Naysayers are oftentimes persecuted, if not outright expelled.

Psych grad students have been run out of the profession for not marching in lockstep with the radicals’ drummer. In a couple of recent cases, Christian women have been kicked out of their programs for not supporting homosexuality.

In a situation closer to home, militants have pressured CAMFT, the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists, to expel reparative therapists. (Reparative therapists offer services to homosexuals who are unhappy with their lifestyle and want to go straight.)

When the ’60s radicals took over the Catholic church

When Pope John XXIII called the Second Vatican Council in l960, almost every bishop in the world was puzzled. Vatican Councils historically are only called when the Church is in some desperate need or is fighting a very serious heresy (a widespread attack on a dogma of faith, i.e., Mary was not the Mother of God).  But this was a time when the Catholic Church seemed to be in her glory.  We had an abundance of priests and nuns.  Seminaries were full. Catholic schools were overflowing.  It was not uncommon that attendance at Mass on Sundays and Holy Days of Obligation was standing room only.  Almost every Saturday, there were lines for Confession.

So why call a council?  Pope John was warned by some Bishops that in their midst were some (not many) liberal Bishops who would use the council to “modernize” the Church. Previous Popes, especially Pope St. Pius X, had warned that the Church must never be “modern”. She must be unchangeable because what is modern in 1940 will not be modern in 1960 and what is modern in 1960 will not be modern in 1980. By remaining FOREVER unchangeable, you are always relevant.  Pope John promised it would be a PASTORAL Council and not DOCTRINAL or DOGMATIC so that the Deposit of Faith (our beliefs) and the liturgy of the Mass will not change.  It has been said that before he died, he saw the council change in a direction he was unable to stop and thus welcomed death knowing the council would die with him.  Unfortunately, it was re-opened by Pope Paul VI, his successor, who invited 6 Protestant clergy to act as “observers”.  Behind the scenes, these “observers” were allowed much more input and became unofficial participants.  Thus, the Roman Catholic Mass could become “Protestantized.”  At the end of the council, one of the Protestant ministers is quoted as saying:  “This is the best council the Protestants ever had!”

It is not our intention to give you a step by step history of Vatican II.   However, you should know that when the council closed, the wheels were in motion like a train at full speed.  In the driver’s seat were the “modernist” bishops who’d used the council like a vehicle to take it to their own destination—a more “modern” church, open to innovation, causing weakening of faith and much confusion.  Pope Paul VI seeing the end result of Vatican II said in no uncertain terms: “THE SMOKE OF SATAN HAS ENTERED THE CHURCH!”
