I now believe we are at the point where half of America is possessed, or highly oppressed.

For one, our 100 years of sexual sins and abortion have caught up to us. People screaming “racist!” at non-racists like Trump and Tucker without any evidence and without any interest in honest discussion first seemed to me to be the cause of insanity in our country. But now I see such insanity is the symptom (not the cause) of such insanity.

Such insanity has grown in the minds of Americans already ratifying their consciences under 50 years of killing of unborn children. Or, for example:  The leftists ignoring the fact that coronavirus can be nearly cured by not only hydroxychloroquine but also by inhaled steroids at first seemed to me to be the cause of insanity in our country.

But as I look closer at this, yet again, I see that such insanity is simply the symptom (not the cause) of 50 years of killing our own unborn children.

For more than 1900 years, the serenity and peace of the Catholic Faith and the certainty of the Church’s immutable doctrine were widely recognized as products of the fullness of divine grace and truth, which she alone possessed.

But now all has changed… dreadful days have come upon us which the appeasing rhetoric of modernized Christians cannot hide: the Revolution of the atheist world has entered the Church and is wearing everything down.

There is no longer any stability and the Church appears to have entered into a perennial Revolution which changes everything continuously: confusion in the rites, confusion in doctrine, confusion in morals, confusion in discipline.

You do not know if the truth of today will be the same tomorrow. Many, priests and faithful, rush around anxiously in order not to be left behind, adapting themselves in whatever way they can, to this wearisome confusion.

The one who is truly seeking God in this revolutionary Church, is left frightfully alone.

What to do in this suffocating atmosphere? And what not to do?

First of all, it is important not to be beset by agitation, it is important not to react like revolutionaries: that would be like treating a disease, which is precisely what the Revolution is, with the same illness. The revolutionary spirit, even when it pretends to save the good, will never be the solution.

Instead, it is essential to stay really outside of the Revolution, by living Catholicism integrally in the stability that was there, before the Revolution invaded everything.

Pride, “Change” and the Revolution

The Revolution is a movement of spirit having its taproot and energy in the devil, the spirit of hate, murder, atheism, apostasy, and ‘this world only’ naturalism, materialism, pantheism, and spiritualism. The Revolution is war against the supernatural Trinity, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, which in the words of Marx’s anarchist comrade Bakunin, are the “cursed and fatal principle of authority.”

The sentiment of the Revolution is satanic pride: movement of spirit having its taproot and energy in the devil, the spirit of hate, murder, atheism, apostasy, and ‘this world only’ naturalism, materialism, pantheism, and spiritualism. The Revolution is war against the supernatural Trinity, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, which in the words of Marx’s anarchist comrade Bakunin, are the “cursed and fatal principle of authority.”

The nature of the Revolution is the antithesis of authentic Christian faith. Whereas Christian faith is joy, patience, love, truth, humbleness, perseverance, submission in all things to the Will of God and blessed eternal life in Paradise (earth perfected), the Satanic counterfeit is full of hatred, rebelliousness, burning envy and covetousness against man and God, ingratitude, mockery, doubts, lies, revulsion, blasphemy, thoughts of murder and eternal life in Hell.

Fueled by monstrously inflated pride and dissatisfaction with self, the world, society, and God the Father Almighty, it devotes its’ infernal energy toward“change,” or as Marx put it, toward the wholesale destruction of the Christian-based Old Order and the establishment of a religiously pantheist, totalitarian world order because:

“The idea of God is the keynote of a perverted civilization. It must be destroyed.” (Karl Marx, Marx and Satan, p. 59)

What the Abortion President and the Modernist Pope
have in common

Pope Francis’ unabashed, unapologetic and unashamed public promotion of worldly, liberal and modernist religious concepts is working a lot like Barack Obama’s similarly unrestrained efforts at promoting abortion without limits.

It’s making people with authentically formed consciences think and respond – utilizing all the  truths of the faith, within the proper context of sacred and apostolic tradition – as opposed to the hermaunetic of chaos, corruption and disruption that has been the “norm” in the Catholic Church, over the last fifty years.

In the case of Barack Obama and abortion, we’re seeing more anti-abortion laws being passed, coupled  with long overdue enforcement, regulation and prosecution of abortion facilities and abortionists.

In the case of Pope Francis – which is not yet as far along – I predict that we will eventually see all the liberal and modernist errors and scandals in the church exposed – and we will then be called to participate in a genuine spiritual revolution that will demand (and get) a prompt return to the doctrinal sanity, traditional reliability and genuine Christ-centered holiness for which the Catholic Church (except for the last half century) has always been known.

An article at Catholic Vote by writer Tom Hoopes put me on to this idea.

I’m sure Mr. Hoopes means well and intends to fully support and defend Pope Francis in his continuing outbursts of catechetical curiosities, but for those of us who know and understand the catechism – including its many weaknesses, omissions and political calculations – Hoopes article accomplishes just the opposite.

Here’s an example

Love, not Legalism

“If the Christian is a restorationist, a legalist, if he wants everything clear and safe, then he will find nothing. Tradition and memory of the past must help us to have the courage to open up new areas to God. Those who today always look for disciplinarian solutions, those who long for an exaggerated doctrinal ‘security,’ those who stubbornly try to recover a past that no longer exists­—they have a static and inward-directed view of things. In this way, faith becomes an ideology among other ideologies.”

Rejecting ideology, even religious ideology, is another central teaching of Francis. And it’s a critically important teaching for our time, which turns everything into ideology. It is also a teaching of the Catechism.

1972 The New Law is called a law of love because it makes us act out of the love infused by the Holy Spirit, rather than from fear; a law of grace, because it confers the strength of grace to act, by means of faith and the sacraments; a law of freedom, because it sets us free from the ritual and juridical observances of the Old Law, inclines us to act spontaneously by the prompting of charity and, finally, lets us pass from the condition of a servant who “does not know what his master is doing” to that of a friend of Christ – “For all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you” – or even to the status of son and heir.

This totally ignores the fact that it is impossible to create true disciples without a certain amount of discipline – just as it would be virtually impossible to live a good, holy, Christian life absent regular prayer and study – along with full, faithful and active participation in all of the applicable work, worship,  sacraments and devotions of the Catholic Church. 

The liberals and the modernists attempt to quickly discredit and then discard all that is tried and true in the Catholic Church, in favor of untested novelties that appeal primarily to the inflated human egos of persons who typically possess a distorted sense of charity, equality, diversity and prudence.

They also seem to totally forget that sin is the reason for most of the world’s evil – and that traditional Catholic teachings, practices, disciplines and philosophy remain the best antidote to sin that the world has ever known.

If that’s ideological, legalist and/or restorationist, then so be it!

The Catholic bishops have already experimented with the modernistic approach to corruption in the priesthood and it has cost the church much of its moral authority, along with at least $2.6 billion dollars that could otherwise have been used to feed, clothe and house the poor. This constitutes a colossal breach of essential Christian charity as well as an almost total failure of prudential judgment by ordained persons operating at the very highest levels of the Catholic Church!

Remember … with the close of the 2nd Vatican Council
“CHANGE” had come to the Catholic Church …
and it came to the Catholic Church FIRST!

It was only after the Church of the Ages
was totally disrupted and taken out of the way
that global terrorism, big government, radical feminism, abortion,
homosexuality, the destruction of the family
and many other types of evils and immorality
were allowed to proceed, virtually unchecked!

Should Pope Francis and his supporters succeed in their efforts to further “modernize” the Catholic Church, there’s no telling what new evils might be in store for the church – and for the world.

The defining characteristic of tyranny is the diversion of power from the people to the unelected elite.

The elite can claim to be inspired by Allah or Marx; it can act in the name of racial purity or universal workers compensation or both. The details don’t matter, because in all instances, tyranny derives its justification from the superiority of the rulers and the inferiority of the people.

The left launched two revolutions. One was the hard revolution of bombs and assassinations by those who did not have the time or patience to wait for the long march through the institutions of the state. This revolution was born quickly and died quickly. It killed millions and choking on their blood it died by stages, losing its ideas and then its power, until there were only a few old men and women in shawls clinging to red velvet portraits of Stalin.

But there was also the soft revolution that was slow and subtle. It was a revolution of laws, rather than bombs. It did not concern itself with 5-year-plans but with 50-year-plans. It proceeded by increments, raising the temperature so very gradually that the free world did not realize it was cooked until it could smell its own burning flesh.

Vatican II: A moment of grace … followed by fifty years of chaos.

The Pope remembered the great sight of over 3,000 bishops from around the world “gathered under the guidance of the Successor of the Apostle Peter” at “the school of the Holy Spirit, the true driving force of the Council.” At few other times, he suggested, have people been able to “almost concretely ‘touch’ the universality of the Church.”

He also recalled the “the surprise of the small group of cardinals” who were present at the Roman basilica of St. Paul Outside the Walls when Pope John XXIII announced the convening of the Second Vatican Council in January 1959. Unlike the previous general councils of the Church, there “were no particular errors of faith to correct or condemn,” nor were there “specific issues of doctrine or discipline to be clarified,” Pope Benedict explained.

The reason for the Council, Benedict XVI said, was spelled out by Pope John in his opening speech when he stated that “faith had to speak in a ‘renewed,’ more incisive way” in a rapidly changing world, while “keeping its perennial contents” and “without giving in or compromising.”

Editor’s note: How’s that totally unnecessary change working out for everyone, some 50 years after the fact? Evidently, the good Pope John XXIII never heard the phrase, “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!” All this, while Pope Benedict, the old revolutionary, continues to survey the massive destruction left in the Council’s wake.

Let’s quit blaming the Holy Spirit for this unparalleled debacle and failure, since that would be blasphemy. It is the church hierarchy, caught up in the obtuse spirit of the age, which is primarily responsible for the damage. And that includes ALL of the recent Popes.

Komov believes that if you “dig deep enough into the ideological roots of these socialist movements, you end up finding satanic roots in them.” And although only a softer version is prevalent now, “it is still very dangerous,” he says. “I would warn all those people fascinated by socialist ideas that they have never worked in human history — never worked.”

The traditional nuclear family is a particular enemy of socialism, he says, because it is the basic institution that preserves values and passes them on to the next generation. “The state, if it wants to dominate life and the individual from birth to death, needs to destroy the family, because the family is independent of the state,” he argues. “As Marx and Engels said, the family is a repressive, bourgeois institution that needs to be destroyed; they need to get rid of its patriarchal power and that of Christianity because they are the main obstacles of the social revolution.”

My generation did not evangelise enough, says Pope

Your generation couldn’t make up its mind about what it actually believed, so it introduced a dumbed-down liberal revolution into the church that still reverberates (negatively) to this day.

As a result, “CHANGE” came to the Catholic Church
about 45 years before it “came” to America.

“Yes we can” … build ugly churches, corrupt the seminaries, discredit the priesthood, tear out communion rails, banish tabernacles, sew confusion and dissent, “gut” the sacred liturgy and persecute the traditionally Catholic faithful.

Understanding Obama’s “Fabian” Socialism

The difference between the Marxist and the Fabian is somewhat of an important difference, but from Marx’s point of view, socialism was going to be the answer to the capitalist economic system.  And what Marx did was divide basically the human race into two groups, the proletariat and the bourgeois.  And from a Marxist point of view, the bourgeois needed to be eliminated so that we could have peace on earth, and goodwill to all the socialists, I guess.

But the Fabian socialists came along with a different idea.  They came along with the same socialist idea, but instead of dividing the world between the two groups, they decided that they were going to bring about socialism through a more peaceful process.  In other words, the Bolsheviks were known as the party of slaughter, and we had to ultimately get rid of the bourgeois.  And they did, by the way, Brannon.  They killed tens of thousands.  I think the numbers are probably closer to 100 and some million.

But the Fabians decided that they were not going to use the heavy hand.  They were going to go slowly and surely, and that’s what they did.

Writer Chronicles the Revolution That Almost Destroyed the Catholic Church (And It’s Not Over!)

The worldwide implosion of the Roman Catholic Church during the years 1960-1980 is, in my opinion, one of history’s greatest mysteries.  How could a millennia-old institution so large, vigorous, and self-disciplined collapse essentially overnight?  I’ve read several books on this topic, and The Desolate City is, by far, the best.  Muggeridge claims that the Church has suffered a revolution, and so she proceeds to study the crucial post-conciliar years by analogies with revolutions in the secular/political sphere.

Her template for a revolution begins with a vigorous but disgruntled class—usually the class next to the top rather than one of the lower orders—that feels that it is not being given the power its merits deserve.  The disgruntled class uses its authority within the system to undermine the system by criticizing and ridiculing the ruling order in front of the lower classes.  These “rituals of revolution” prepare the public psychologically for the overthrow of the old order.  The government tries in various ways to appease the revolutionaries, which they take to be a sign of weakness.  Finally, the revolutionaries move into open defiance.  When the government fails to suppress them, people start defecting to the new revolutionary power center en masse.  The revolution solidifies its control of all public institutions, and the old government is effectively overthrown.

This, Muggeridge claims, is what’s happened to the Catholic Church.  Here, the government is the Magisterium:  the Pope and loyal bishops.  The disgruntled class is the clerical intelligentsia:  the teaching religious orders, the bureaucrats in the national episcopal conferences, and (especially) the theologians.  The revolution, as Muggeridge calls it, has succeeded in establishing control over the Church at all levels except the very top.  How did the revolutionary intelligentsia gain so much power?   It came through a dreadful miscalculation on the part of the bishops.  The latter had hoped at Vatican II to secure more freedom from curial (i.e. papal) interference, and to this end they allied themselves with the radicals (who at the time were pretending to be mostly orthodox).  Once the radicals had established their control over the conciliar implementation commissions and the bishops’ bureaucracies, the masks were discarded and the bishops found they could no longer control their own diocese.

The Church militant is the society of all the faithful still dwelling on earth. It is called militant, because it wages eternal war with those implacable enemies, the world, the flesh and the devil … from the Catechism of Trent (Circa 1902-1907).

Here’s one way this works:

John Paul’s role in the collapse of European communism is now generally recognized, but it does not seem well understood. He was not, pace Tad Szulc, a wily diplomat skillfully negotiating a transition beyond one-party rule in Poland. He was not, pace Carl Bernstein and Marco Politi, a co-conspirator with Ronald Reagan in a “holy alliance” to effect communism’s demise. He was not, pace the late Jonathan Kwitny, a Gandhi in a white cassock, running a non-violent resistance movement in Poland through a clandestine messenger service from the Vatican. Rather, John Paul shaped the politics of east central Europe in the 1980s as a pastor, evangelist, and witness to basic human rights.

Primary-source evidence for this is found in the texts of the Pope’s epic June 1979 pilgrimage to his homeland, nine days on which the history of the 20th century pivoted. In those forty-some sermons, addresses, lectures, and impromptu remarks, the Pope told his fellow-countrymen, in so many words: “You are not who they say you are. Let me remind you who you are.” By restoring to the Polish people their authentic history and culture, John Paul created a revolution of conscience that, fourteen months later, produced the nonviolent Solidarity resistance movement, a unique hybrid of workers and intellectuals — a “forest planed by aroused consciences,” as the Pope’s friend, the philosopher Jozef Tischner once put it. And by restoring to his people a form of freedom and a fearlessness that communism could not reach, John Paul II set in motion the human dynamics that eventually led, over a decade, to what we know as the Revolution of 1989.

Celebrating Mexico’s 200th birthday


As Mexico limps into the bicentennial of its 1810 independence uprising, it is battered and full of self-questioning, but with more openness and debate than perhaps at any other time in its history.

The bicentennial marks the 1810 uprising led by Catholic priest Miguel Hidalgo, who gathered a band of Indians and farmers under the banner of the dark-skinned Virgin of Guadalupe. He was caught and executed soon afterward, but by 1821 the movement he started ousted the Spanish, a feat Mexicans celebrate Sept. 15-16.

By reviewing this history we can learn not only how the Church arrived at her present state of crisis but also what we can expect in the future if she is not completely reformed according to her own sacred Tradition. Pope Leo XIII and the New Zeitgeist

The pontificate of Leo XIII (1878-1903) spanned the historical transition between the Church’s militant opposition to emerging political modernity, as summed up in the Syllabus, and a conditional truce with the new order of Liberty for lack of any practical possibility of overturning it, especially in France. Leo’s pontificate also spanned the Progressive Era in America (1890 to the early 1900s) and the rise of what has been called “the Americanist heresy” among liberal American Catholics who, like their European counterparts, opposed the “ultramontanes,” slighted the Syllabus, and sought not merely a prudential accommodation to the new order, but the Church’s embrace of Liberty as a positive good and indeed the divinely ordained future of the human race. Leo charted a course through these developments that left the Church’s opposition to the new order intact in principle and rejected “Americanism,” but recognized the insuperable practical realities that had come into play after a century of revolution and social upheaval had all but destroyed Christendom.

By the time Pope Leo ascended to the papacy in 1878, the post-Christian state was already a reality in America, France, and Italy, where the Pope’s temporal sovereignty now extended no further than a Vatican city state surrounded by a republic that Masonic heroes had imposed by the usual means: force of arms, followed by token plebiscites and the passive popular acceptance of a fait accompli. As the turn of the century approached no one was more aware than Leo that, as the mid-20th century liberal Catholic luminary, John Courtney Murray, S.J. put it, “a new Zeitgeist was on its conquering march, [and] a new climate of opinion and feeling had rolled in from many quarters upon the world, especially upon the European world which was closest to him.” [i]

In his inaugural encyclical, Inscrutabili (1878), on “the evils of society,” Leo offered this withering assessment of what the new Zeitgeist had produced after a century of violent revolution, war and devastation:

… widespread subversion of the primary truths on which, as on its foundations, human society is based;… obstinacy of mind that will not brook any authority however lawful;… endless sources of disagreement… civil strife, and ruthless war and bloodshed;… contempt of law which molds characters and is the shield of righteousness;… insatiable craving for things perishable, with complete forgetfulness of things eternal, leading up to the desperate madness whereby so many wretched beings [] scruple not to lay violent hands upon themselves;… the shamelessness of those who, full of treachery, make semblance of being champions of country, of freedom, and every kind of right; in fine, the deadly kind of plague which infects in its inmost recesses, allowing it no respite and foreboding ever fresh disturbances and final disaster.[ii]

In his next encyclical, Quod apostolici, issued in the same year, Leo repeated the theme of a “deadly plague that is creeping into the very fibres of human society and leading it on to the verge of destruction…”[iii] A line of subsequent Popes, including Pope Pius XII, would track the progress of the “plague” in their own pronouncements, offering a series of increasingly grim prognoses culminating in Pius XII’s observations after World War II that “We are overwhelmed with sadness and anguish, seeing that the wickedness of perverse men has reached a degree of impiety that is unbelievable and absolutely unknown in other times,”[iv] and that “[t]he human race is involved today in a supreme crisis, which will issue in its salvation by Christ, or in its destruction.” [v]

The Dictatorship of Relativism

In the modern political world, one can trace this construct of rebellion back to the French Revolution. Though Voltaire and his minions fancied themselves as intellectuals their rebellion against God (pretending He didn’t exist) became child’s play. Much like children sometimes exclude a child they don’t understand or wish to play with from their midst, so do the modern atheists. Because they can’t understand God’s vastness, they simply pretend He isn’t there. Adults generally don’t reward their children when they exclude others, but sadly the intelligentsia of the modern world (liberal religious included) often hangs on to the militant secularists every word.
