Mayor of San Antonio Julian (Joseph McCarthy) Castro

The mayor of San Antonio glares down at the electrician, who is bidding for a contract to wire some new public offices.

“Are you now, or have you ever been, a member of the Roman Catholic Church?”

The electrician looks puzzled, but his assistant Carlos, a man with more experience in political affairs, speaks up.  “Mayor Castro,” he says, “my friend Mario was baptized a Roman Catholic, and went to Catholic schools, but that was a long time ago, and he wasn’t the only one, not by a long shot.  But I can promise you that he hasn’t gone to church in all the fifteen years I’ve worked with him, except for at Easter and Christmas, and he only does that to please his mother.”

“That’s all well and good,” says Mayor Castro, “but it still is troubling that he should maintain any connection at all with an organization that won’t allow women into the priesthood, and that still insists that a man cannot marry another man.”  He turns to Mario.  “Sir,” he says, “can you give us any further assurance that you have never spoken or acted in such a way as to confirm these obnoxious teachings?”

San Antonio Passes Ordinance Banning Anyone Who Opposes Homosexuality From Running For Office, Receiving A City Contract…

Attention Macy’s shoppers: The “woman” in the changing room next to yours may actually be a man. And that’s OK with Macy’s!

Liberty Council reported on Monday,

“A young woman was fired from the Macy’s San Antonio Rivercenter department store in Texas for refusing to violate her religious beliefs by permitting a young man dressed as a woman [to enter]  the women’s dressing room.

Natalie Johnson claims she saw the young man walk out of the women’s fitting room and politely told him that he could not go back in because it was for women only. The cross-dressing young man claimed that he is a ‘female.’ Johnson said that he was wearing make-up and girl’s clothing, but clearly he was a male.

The cross-dresser was accompanied by five other individuals. The group argued with expletives that Macy’s is LGBT-friendly, to which Johnson replied that Macy’s is also non-discriminatory toward religion, and that it would go against her religious beliefs to lie that he was a woman or compromise with homosexuality. The group then demanded to speak with a manager.”

Editor’s note: This incident seems to indicate that Macy’s changing rooms are no longer safe for normal, heterosexual people! Let’s see how Macy’s handles this, going forward.
