The big Catholic charities have become nothing but conduits for transferring taxpayer dollars to the third world, often with the same agenda held by the population controllers running the U.S.

They can “sell” their evil much easier in Catholic countries by using a “Catholic” agency to do the dirty. And Catholic Relief Services has shown themselves happy to oblige.

Catholic Relief Services distributes abortifacients in Madagascar: on-the-ground investigation

Sad to say, you cannot trust most of the big Catholic charities: Cartholic Relief Services (CRS) is up to its neck in promoting the anti-life message in the third world. Catholic Charities (CC) scandals abound, and the Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD) sends one third to one half of money collected to Alinsky organizing groups that do their darnedest to undermine the faith and elect politicians diametrically opposed to Catholic teaching. And how do the bishops respond to criticism of these horrendous abuses? They attack the messengers. Very sad.

Things you should know about the latest scandal at Catholic Relief Services

According to the CRS official website (www.crs.org), the Gates Foundation is “guided by the belief that every life has equal value.” CRS praises the foundation’s work “to help all people lead healthy, productive lives,” and “to ensure that all people… have access to the opportunities they need to succeed in school and life. …”

In exchange for perpetuating this glorious deception and maintaining a silence on the Gates/Buffett world-wide killing machine, CRS has received in excess of $40 million from Gates/Buffet for global and agricultural development and financial services for the poor from 2003 to 2009.

Details Emerge About the Vatican Homosexual scandal on top of the Vatican Bank Scandal

ROME, July 18, 2013 – “In the curia there is talk of a ‘gay lobby.’ And it is true, it’s there. Let’s see what we can do,” Francis said on June 6 to Latin American religious received in audience.

And again: “It is not easy. Here there are many of the pope’s ‘bosses’ with great seniority of service,” he confided a few days ago to his Argentine friend and former student Jorge Milia.

In effect, some of these ‘bosses’ have hatched against Jorge Mario Bergoglio the cruelest and most subtle deception since he was elected pope.

They kept in the dark important information that, if he had known it before, would have kept him from appointing Monsignor Battista Ricca “prelate” of the Institute for Works of Religion.

True story: How a corrupt bishop bankrupted his diocese – and got away with it.

During the years when reports of clerical sexual abuse were crossing the desk of the former archbishop of Milwaukee, Rembert Weakland, OSB – who resigned his post after revelations of his own homosexual predations and a payoff were publicly exposed in May 2002 – was pushing explicit sex education and pro-homosexual programs in his archdiocese.

One of the striking revelations in the 6,000 pages of documentation released July 1 by Milwaukee Archbishop Jerome Listecki is that the majority of complaints against offending priests – both current and those of a historical nature dating back decades – landed on Archbishop Weakland’s desk between 1979 and 1990.

Indeed, 29 of the 42 complaints of sexual abuse by archdiocesan priests that led to the archdiocese filing for bankruptcy in federal court were reported to Weakland in that period.

The first such report to reach Weakland, in April 1979, concerned Fr. William Effinger, from the father of a minor male who accused Effinger of molesting his son.

Why hasn’t Cardinal Dolan fired CCHD Director Ralph McCloud for his scandalous role in the Wendy Davis/Texas abortion bill affair?

One must ask how it is possible that McCloud deserves any position in the USCCB, least of all a position as director of the Catholic Campaign for Human Development where he is supposed to be a leader in social justice. The  mission statement of the Catholic Campaign for Human Development is this: “The Catholic Campaign for Human Development is an instrument of the Catholic Church working to carry out the mission of Jesus Christ, … to bring good news to the poor   … release to captives    … sight to the blind, and let the oppressed go free.’ (Luke 4:18)” It may be a newsflash at the CCHD, but killing the innocent unborn is not part of the mission of Jesus Christ!

Is there not any other Catholic in the United States whose organizational and management skills meet or exceed that of Ralph McCloud? Is there not another Catholic in America whose personal political actions do not contradict the moral teachings of the Catholic Church? In short, is there not another Catholic in this country who would not be an ethical embarrassment and scandal to the Catholic Church and its members? (Answers: Yes. Yes. Yes.)

It is important to stress again that McCloud’s very public and effective support of the abortion supporting Wendy Davis occurred while he was an employee on the payroll of the Catholic bishops in a job that required him to promote justice and dignity for all human life! Put another way, while his fellow Catholics were praying and working and giving their hard earned money to their bishops to promote justice, including wiping out abortion, Ralph McCloud was out and about supporting an abortion mongering politician. And it is not that the Catholic bishops did not or do not know about McCloud’s public support of Davis. They did at the time and they do now, but do not seem to care.

So if you might wonder why Senator Wendy Davis, the courageous champion of the killing of unborn children at any time in the womb for any reason, even has a seat in the Texas senate where she has a position to  effectively promote the culture of death, think of Ralph McCloud and the Catholic bishops of the United States who employ him as director of their Catholic Campaign for Human Development

As my late mother would say: Doesn’t that beat all you’ve ever heard?

Head of CCHD was the campaign treasurer for the woman who filibustered the Texas legislature to stop anti-abortion legislation

cchd

While the Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD) has come under well deserved scrutiny for supporting groups such as ACORN and groups with ties to promoting abortion, CMR has uncovered that Ralph McCloud, while heading the CCHD in 2008, was simultaneously working as a highly placed campaign official for a pro-choice politician seeking to unseat a pro-life politician.

As you likely know, CCHD is the bishops’ anti-poverty program which funds community organizing and economic development projects and has been at the center of a number of controversies. Ralph McCloud was named head of the CCHD in November 2007. In his first year as head of the CCHD, according to public records, McCloud also worked as the Treasurer for Planned Parenthood endorsed Democrat Wendy Davis.

Why would the director of the CCHD, during his tenure as head of an ostensibly Catholic institution act as champion and treasurer of a campaign for a pro-abortion politician seeking to oust a pro-life politician? This is the textbook definition of scandal.

Cardinal George Refuses Gay Activist Communion, Lesbian Cantor Brings Host to Him Anyway.

A homosexual activist named Joe Murray essentially stood in the front pew during Mass where Chicago’s Archbishop Francis Cardinal George presided at the Archdiocesan’s Gay and Lesbian Outreach’s (AGLO) 25th anniversary liturgy. While a number of gay activists protested outside Murray had his back turned to Cardinal George and was facing the people while wearing a rainbow sash. Real subtle, huh?

Murray had previously protested Cardinal George being invited to this Mass, saying “‘The only metaphor that comes to mind is that of inviting Hitler to a remembrance service for holocaust victims.” Yeah, subtlety is not his thing.

When Murray presented himself for Communion he was sent away by Cardinal George empty handed. That is, until Brenna Cronin, a reported lesbian cantor, went up twice and personally delivered the Eucharist to Murray. She was previously quoted in the Windy City Times saying of this mass:

“Brenna Cronin, choir member and cantor, is torn. ‘For me as a music minister, I will have to make a decision. My heart says that I want to be there that day and minister for my community,’ she said. ‘At the same time I want to stand on the sidewalk with Joe Murray and hold a candle to show my protest.’

Murray called Cronin his “priest” for delivering the Eucharist to him.

Cardinal Dolan can’t just laugh this one off.

Cardinal Dolan Has Taught Us A Few Important Things In The Last Few Weeks. In the last few weeks Cardinal Dolan, through his spokesman Joseph Zwilling, has been doing a lot of teaching by word and deed.

His Eminence, Timothy Cardinal Dolan, has let the Church know pro-abortion New York Governor Andrew Cuomo is a Catholic in good standing.

The world has also found out the Archdiocese of New York is paying for abortions and contraception for thousands of its employees.

The Cardinals spokesman has rather heartlessly described the abortions and contraception the Archdiocese provides as “services” and excused the Archdiocese paying the bills for these “services” because they write the checks “under protest.”

We have many lessons we can learn from these situations.

Editor’s note: Someone better take a close look at what’s going on in Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, Boston, and other similar sized urban areas. This church scandal is just beginning to break!

Thomas More Society speaks out on the IRS power to potentially trample on our constitutional rights through ostensibly innocuous means.

According to TMS, in one case, the IRS withheld approval of an application for tax exempt status for Coalition for Life of Iowa.

In a phone call to Coalition for Life of Iowa leaders on June 6, 2009, the IRS agent “Ms. Richards” told the group to send a letter to the IRS with the entire board’s signatures stating that, under perjury of the law, they do not picket/protest or organize groups to picket or protest outside of Planned Parenthood. Once the IRS received this letter, their application would be approved.

After a series of letters following a request for more invasive information, Thomas More Society special counsel Sally Wagenmaker sent a letter to the IRS demanding the tax exempt status be issued immediately.

But Shinn said the IRS contacted him regarding his application for nonprofit status, and was told he didn’t qualify.

“The representative was telling me I had to provide information on all aspects of abortion, I couldn’t just educate the church from the pro-life perspective,” he said.

“Every time I pressed her on this issue and asked her to clarify her position, she would state that it wasn’t what she was saying, and then, she would repeat it almost the same way.”

Was President Obama’s recent Planned Parenthood speech intended to influence the Gosnell jury?

Obama-620x459

by Doug Lawrence

Shades of O.J. Simpson!

Just a week ago, the President, during an NBC News interview, told Savannah Guthrie he couldn’t comment on the case of the now infamous Philadelphia abortionist, Dr. Kermit Gosnell, because it was ongoing.

Of course, that was a lie … since just a few days later, Mr. Obama delivered a speech before Planned Parenthood’s Annual Gala Celebration of Death that would have been sufficient to nominate Dr. Gosnell and his ilk for sainthood (if he had actually mentioned the Gosnell case, which he did not).

But the President didn’t need to mention it. Gosnell was the “elephant in the room” at the Planned Parenthood celebration and things couldn’t have gone better for them if they had used some of Gosnell’s bottled abortion babies, as centerpieces for their tables.

The point is … Philadelphia is a Democratic enclave. The people of Philadelphia generally tend to hold the President in high esteem and they tend to believe his lies. The Gosnell jury is not being sequestered, so the jury could easily have heard Obama’s glowing remarks about Planned Parenthood and all their associated baby-killers … and the jury could very easily have been improperly influenced in Gosnell’s favor by the President’s very public remarks.

This was no accident … and of course, no one from the mainstream media (MSM) is going to call him out on it, so I will:

The President is a corrupt and decrepit liar who knows no other way but deception. He and his minions knew exactly what they were doing … and why. They have no authentic regard for the rule of law or its process. Any reasonable person might, after all this time, be expected to realize that … whether they live in Philadelphia, or elsewhere.

E. J. Dionne is obviously drunk on heterodox feminist “kool aid”.

In giving up the papacy, Pope Benedict XVI was brave and bold. He did the unexpected for the good of the Catholic Church. And when it selects a new pope next month, the College of Cardinals should be equally brave and bold. It is time to elect a nun as the next pontiff.

Now, I know this hope of mine is the longest of long shots. I have great faith in the Holy Spirit to move papal conclaves, but I would concede that I may be running ahead of the Spirit on this one. Women, after all, are not yet able to become priests, and it is unlikely that traditionalists in the church will suddenly upend the all-male, celibate priesthood, let alone name a woman as the bishop of Rome.

Nonetheless, handing leadership to a woman — and in particular, to a nun — would vastly strengthen Catholicism, help the church solve some of its immediate problems and inspire many who have left the church to look at it with new eyes.

Link

Editor’s note: E. J. Dionne couldn’t be more wrong on this one. Women’s religious orders make up some of the most heterodox groups of Catholics in the world today. Making someone like that pope wouldn’t improve matters, in the least. For abundant proof, all we need to do is look at the shenanigans going on with women and homosexuals in the Anglican/Episcopal Communions. But perhaps Mr. Dionne personally approves of such scandalous goings on? After all, he boasts of “running ahead of the Holy Spirit on this one”. Progressive? Hardly! More like old fashioned, blasphemy!

The Dallas Morning News documented that year the fact that two-thirds of U.S. bishops were involved in cover-ups of sex abuse.

twothirds

There were several factors at work in the sex abuse crisis—including misguided compassion for abusive priests, a “magical” attitude toward the effects of repentance and confession, and a misguided faith in the power of pop psychology to treat incurable diseases like pedophilia and deadly sins like Lust.

But the main driver of the scandal, as the fearless Catholic journalist Philip Lawler explained in his authoritative book on the abuse crisis, The Faithful Departed, was simple worldliness: A vast and powerful Church infrastructure was built up by heroic missionaries and fiercely faithful, impoverished Catholic migrants—who came here legally when the U.S. needed an almost infinite supply of strong Sicilian ditch-diggers and chaste Irish nannies. The kind of men who founded the American church were a lot like the men who founded the U.S. government—heroes willing to risk life and limb, to face ridicule and thankless toil in a cause most people thought hopeless. (Imagine George Washington in a mitre.)

The Church continued to grow as faithful men sternly schooled in Jesuit spirituality and Thomist theology faced down hostility and anti-Catholic mobs, to build a massive network of Catholic parochial schools, and resist evil laws imposing Prohibition and eugenics. (You might think of these men as the Andrew Jacksons and Abraham Lincolns of the episcopate.)

As time went on, and Americans began to accept that Catholics really weren’t filling their church basements with dynamite and scheming to make the pope our king, life for bishops became a lot more comfortable. It started to attract a different kind of man, with another set of priorities—glad-handing, ward-heeling power brokers, more in the mold of Lyndon Johnson.

When a crisis of faith erupted over birth control, it turned out that the upper ranks of the clergy were largely composed of men like Richard Nixon or William Jefferson Clinton. Those were the kind of men who were faced with the tough choice of turning an abusive priest over to the police—and facing the public scandal and possible lawsuit—or covering up for him and either bribing or intimidating the victims into silence. The scandal was the love-child born of the world and the flesh, but the Devil did play his part. He served as matchmaker.

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo is a public scandal

His presentation during his state of the state address last week was very much in keeping with abortion-expansion activists’ “a-word” avoidance.

“It’s shameful, really, especially the way the governor delivered the message, with a video clip of newborns in a nursery, highlighting the disparity between the boy baby and the girl baby when they grow up,” Gallagher says.

“He never spoke about the baby who never had a chance to grow up. It’s offensive to us women who know what his abortion expansion bill really does. It opens up late-term abortions for any and all reasons, allows non-physicians to perform abortions, threatens the religious liberty of Catholic hospitals and other institutions, makes abortion immune to any reasonable regulation, such as parental notification or taxpayer limits.”

California’s Prop 30, anti-Catholic organizations, and more CCHD scandal

Catholics who are conservative, either politically or theologically, have been critical of the Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD) for at least 15 years. The criticism, in print and online, though pointed and persistent, has been largely unproductive. Part of the reason for this failure is the limitation of the criticism to doctrinal matters, principally surrounding abortion, contraception, and homosexuality. But, the fundamental problem with the design of the CCHD grants process is ideological….

[On November 6] Californians voted on an initiative proposition to raise the sales tax rate for all citizens, and increase the state-income tax rates for upper-income earners. California already has the highest sales tax and the second highest income tax in the country. The proposed increases were significant, perhaps enough to cause some very affluent people to move from the state.

How surprising, then, to find that the California branch of PICO (People Improving Communities through Organizing) donated $259,000 to the campaign to pass Proposition 30.
