Gay columnist: let’s face it, we want to indoctrinate children.

While gay activists usually deny that they want to indoctrinate children, said Villarreal, “let’s face it—that’s a lie.” “We want educators to teach future generations of children to accept queer sexuality. In fact, our very future depends on it,” he wrote.

Villarreal pointed to the tactics of a gay activist group FCKH8, which fought a recent Tennessee bill prohibiting classroom discussion of homosexuality in grade school by “hir[ing]some little girls to drop F-bombs” in their controversial online ad campaign, and handing out gay paraphernalia to schoolchildren. “Recruiting children? You bet we are,” he said.

“Why would we push anti-bullying programs or social studies classes that teach kids about the historical contributions of famous queers unless we wanted to deliberately educate children to accept queer sexuality as normal?”

New Orleans parents take Archbishop Gregory Aymond to the woodshed over “paddling” issue.

NEW ORLEANS — More than 500 students, parents and other supporters of a Roman Catholic high school under fire for its use of corporal punishment marched to the New Orleans Archdiocese buildings Saturday to ask the archbishop to retract statements he has made opposing the practice of paddling.

An Open Letter to Archbishop Timothy Dolan, of New York

I tried posting this on Bishop Dolan’s blog but it was censored.

I seek anyone who knows anyone who can possibly get this to His Excellency as I believe those around him censor his mail. I just have the need to know that he saw this. Can anyone help? Maybe if people I know print it out and mail it to him at 1011 First Ave, NY, NY 10022 it might get to him – thanx – Andy

Your Excellency Bishop Dolan,

I took this quote for a reason as it reminds me of the anger I have at the NY Archdiocesan educational establishment Your Excellency.

My question is, besides these glowing statistics, how many of these students are still Catholic? How many will continue to remain Catholics?

My anger stems from the fact that I have raised three children and along with most of their friends who attended our Catholic schools from grade one through high school and on to college and they graduated as young Catholic eunuchs knowing very little about their faith, believing even less.

My anger is also directed at myself for not seeing what was happening. I mistakenly thought that our schools would teach my children their faith. I was wrong.

I started studying my faith daily close to 30 years ago. No I do not have any degrees, master or otherwise. No Phd’s, no doctorates, just self study. immersion in reading everything Catholic I can find, apologetics (which is sorely lacking in Catholic eduction), The Catechism, the Bible, and most importantly the early Church fathers.

IMO , it’s the \experts\ or too many of them that are killing this Church in the West. They have modernized our Bibles, taught our children Catholicism \light\ and we are paying the price for this lack of good solid orthodox Catholic thought as the original Fathers taught. In the 1950′s over 75% of Catholics attended weekly Mass, now it’s down to less than 25%. Even less confess their sins at all anymore. Of course our culture has changed but the Church was to be unchanging and it changed too.

Surveys show that very few of us believe in the actual Presence of Our Lord in our most holy Eucharist. My daughter once said to me \I knew Communion was special, but nobody ever stressed how important, how awesome, how holy it is until you (speaking to me) stressed it.\ I have a copy of an exam my daughter took at our local IONA College which refers to God as Him/Her. This is outrageous.

I expect our youth to question things. I expect some rebellion, but when the inevitable questions arise we MUST have answers for them and our beautiful Catholic faith supplies these answers through our rich history, our Catechism, and our Bible.

Instead, what we in NY give them is CRITICISM. Literary criticism, form criticism, historical criticism, etc. etc. etc.

They are surrounded with Markan priority, fantasy world Q source theories, and the mythologizing of all Bible study. I have taken these courses I have seen it first hand.

I took what was once called the Denver Bible Study Program in my old parish in Yonkers , NY . I was shocked at what Catholics were being taught. No wonder Protestant Fundamentalist communities are bursting at the seams with former Catholics.

I wrote to Archbishop Chaput in Denver and one of his assistants wrote back and told me that His Excellency unceremoniously dumped this heterodoxy and redid his whole educational establishment.

Now, who gets stuck with this program. That’s right we, in NY are stuck with it. Only now it’s called the NY Catholic Bible Study. I have written to Cardinal Egan, and a few times to you, Your Excelency – Nothing – No response from anyone. Meanwhile, our young adults are leaving in droves, we are closing parishes, we are closing schools. all this while we are experiencing the largest increase in new Catholic immigrants ever from Central and South America . I read where Latinos are now leaving us too. Deja Vu all over again.

I pray, no I beg you to look into these things I have written above. Don’t believe me, see for yourself. You, as Shepherd of one of the largest Archdiocese’s in the world can affect the whole country by what you do. I pray for your courage to do the right thing.

May we, as an Archdiocese one day say that we have lost our last Catholic to groups who target unsuspecting Catholics because they know we are easy prey.

The true meaning of the word “tolerance”.

Yesterday, I discussed some terms that are manipulated to normalize homosexuality, and today I want to discuss a few more that are misused in the pernicious effort to use public schools — including elementary schools — to normalize homosexuality. The first term is “tolerance”:

  • Tolerance actually means to put up with or endure something one finds objectionable. Implicit in the idea of tolerance is disagreement and disapproval. One does not tolerate something with which one agrees or approves.
  • True tolerance would mean allowing or enduring the expression of ideas, even ideas which we find offensive or wrongheaded. (It does not, however, require the expression of ideas that are age inappropriate.)
  • When, however, the self-appointed cultural elites and public school administrators contend that society should be tolerant of homosexuality, they are really claiming that one ought to approve of it, affirm it, and celebrate it.
  • Under the guise of promoting tolerance, schools offer only resources and activities that espouse liberal beliefs while censoring all resources that espouse conservative beliefs, which is completely inconsistent with the idea of tolerance.
  • Resources that express disapproval of homosexual acts no more represent intolerance of homosexual persons than resources that express disapproval of promiscuity represent intolerance of those who are promiscuous.
  • A commitment to true tolerance requires that some put up with the expression of the belief that homosexual conduct is moral, and requires that others put up with the expression of the belief that homosexual conduct is immoral.
  • A skewed understanding of tolerance is, ironically, cultivating hatred. When children are taught the lie that those who believe homosexual acts are immoral also hate homosexuals, those children and teens start hating conservatives.

National Education Association (NEA) promotes communism in YOUR schools

From coast to coast, news stories abound about communist indoctrination in U.S. schools. For example, the New York Times recently reported that a teacher working at Beacon High School in New York City had pictures of Che Guevara and Fidel Castro on the walls of his classroom, took students on a field trip to Cuba, and bluntly admitted to the school principal that he’s a communist. And Fox News recently reported that students at Black Pine Circle School in Berkeley, California created a mosaic that included symbols of communism and a prediction that “capitalism will fail.”

Students in California are sent home for wearing American flag T-shirts on Cinco de Mayo while students around the country are allowed to wear T-shirts with images of Che Guevara, the communist revolutionary and mass murderer.

American children are not being taught that Alinsky’s “paradise of communism” has never shown up. They are not learning that the world’s greatest famines and mass murders have occurred under communist regimes.

And the NEA wants to keep it that way.

The history now taught in schools is often ideologically motivated revisionism.

Signs of this are everywhere, though one example will have to suffice: During the period marking the dedication of the World War II Memorial on the Mall, the Washington Post did a story on knowledge of the Second World War among Virginia high-schoolers. What did the students know? A little bit about Hitler; a bit on the Holocaust. Nothing on Mussolini. Nothing on Japanese Fascism, or the rape of Nanking, or the victimization of Korea, or the willful destruction of Manila in 1945. But students were well informed about the Nisei — the Japanese Americans interned by Roosevelt at the beginning of World War II.

Was the Nisei episode an injustice? Of course. Have we acknowledged as much? Yes. Have we compensated the survivors and heirs? Yes. But what scholar would say that this is the main or most important story to come out of World War II? Even the writer for the Washington Post was shocked.

He shouldn’t have been. In a study for the American Textbook Council in 2000, historian Gilbert Sewall reviewed in depth the PC influence on history textbooks in the last decades of the 20th century. Most of the textbooks advanced one trend, summarized in the ultimate example of PC history, the so-called National History Standards of 1994. These were in part produced, ironically, by the federal government. The project started innocently enough and was part of the attempt to establish Goals 2000 — a set of standards of what K-12 public-school students should know in such subjects as math, English, and history. In 1989, President George H. W. Bush endorsed Goals 2000, and the Department of Education and the National Endowment for the Humanities, under Lynne Cheney, funded the history set.

Islam indoctrination in U.S. textbooks allows teachers to force students to “be” Muslim

ISLAM INDUCTION IN OUR TEXTBOOKS

Houghton Mifflin’s “Across the Centuries” underwent multiple revisions led by Nader F. Darehshori, CEO, previously a school teacher in Iran. In the Islam section among other practices, our children are asked to assume they are Muslim soldiers. In the Jewish section, the ONLY imagination practice is to imagine they are with the Jews when they were conquered and forced to live away from their homeland. In the Christian section, the ONLY imagination practice was to imagine being in the buried catacombs of the dead Christians. (Christians/body of Christ back in the tomb, how symbolic).

For a while, Houghton Mifflin posted denials that the Council of Islamic Education contributed to the textbook. But then articles quoting Abigail Jungreis, Editorial Director of HM were found on Muslim sites applauding their input, especially information about the Crusades…so for the Christian section our children are given the Crusades from the Muslim perspective. Meanwhile the Islam section states:

  1. “In fact, the very first word the angel Gabriel spoke to Muhammad was recite.” (in fact?)
  2. “These revelations confirmed both Muhammad’s belief in one God, and his role as the last messenger in a long line of prophets sent by God.”
  3. “Muhammad’s revelations occurred from 610 until his death…”
  4. “The Quran is the final revelation, just as Muhammad is the final prophet.”
  5. “Ramadan is a holy time, because in this month Muhammad received his first message from Allah.”
  6. “Arabic lettering had a special significance for Muslims, because it was used to write down God’s words as they had been given to Muhammad.”
  7. “The courtyard and Mosque allowed Muslims to feel Allah’s invisible presence whether they were inside or outside the Mosque.”
  8. “This caliph, Muslims realized, could not give the same kind of spiritual leadership as Muhammad had. The new caliph would not be the prophet of Allah, as Muhammad had been.”

HM denied implying acceptance of Muhammad’s mission as the prophet when a section was headed with “THE LIFE OF THE PROPHET” and listed him as prophet 42 times!

To the average Christian, facts about Jesus in the Christian section seem merely watered down. But if you study Islam you would realize that what is written about Jesus is what Islam believes about Jesus.

These are some of the reasons that Texas has taken a stand about curriculum. Texas is the 2nd largest block in the market and textbook publishers listen. But California is number one and is currently passing laws blocking Texas changes. I urge everyone to contact your state legislators and ask them to do to California what California has done to Texas. Let the textbook publishers know your state condemns the insanity that California has imposed. Do not let California remain on the throne of public education. I live in California. For the love of God, protect your children.
