Pope Leo XIII, Encyclical Custodi di Quella Fede

Leo_XIII.jpg

“Everyone should avoid familiarity or friendship with anyone suspected of belonging to masonry or to affiliated groups.

Know them by their fruits and avoid them.

Every familiarity should be avoided, not only with those impious libertines who openly promote the character of the sect, but also with those who hide under the mask of universal tolerance, respect for all religions, and the craving to reconcile the maxims of the Gospel with those of the revolution.

These men seek to reconcile Christ and Belial, the Church of God and the state without God.”

47 Various Encyclicals by Pope Leo XIII

And so it begins … courageous Catholic bishop attacked by bigots, from both sides!

CHICAGO — A prominent advocate of church-state separation filed a formal complaint with the Internal Revenue Service on Thursday, accusing the Roman Catholic Diocese of Peoria, Ill., of violating federal law by intervening in a political campaign…

Also …

On Wednesday, Lonnie Nasatir, the regional director of Chicago’s Anti-Defamation League, demanded an apology from (Bishop) Jenky, calling his remarks “outrageous, offensive and completely over the top.”

Editor’s note: Now we’re cookin’!

It’s high time for Catholic truth to once again begin to prevail against the liberal lies and clap-trap that has been masquerading as such, for the last half century.

We have Barack (the Messiah) Obama to thank for this … not that he deserves any credit … or votes … as a result. He just couldn’t help himself!

One day, the American people will realize that overreaching, totalitarian government is the enemy … while the Catholic Church … advocating time-tested, authentic Christian morality, for the common good of all … is much, much less “heavy-handed” … and much more compassionate, fair and balanced.

As usual,
it’s a choice between Jesus Christ
and the Anti-Christ.

The Catholic Church speaks for Jesus, through the advocacy of the Holy Spirit … so who do you think the other guy speaks for … through the advocacy of: 1) Harry Reid, 2) Nancy Pelosi, and 3) David Axelrod?  Of course: 1) the world, 2) the flesh, and 3) the devil!

Don’t be deceived!

And this is charity: That we walk according to his commandments. For this is the commandment that, as you have heard from the beginning, you should walk in the same: For many seducers are gone out into the world who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a seducer and an antichrist.

Look to yourselves, that you lose not the things which you have wrought: but that you may receive a full reward. Whosoever revolts and continues not in the doctrine of Christ hath not God. He that continues in the doctrine, the same hath both the Father and the Son.

If any man come to you and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into the (WHITE) house nor say to him: God speed you. For he that saith unto him: God speed you, communicates with his wicked works. (2 John 1:6-11)

(For those unfamiliar with scripture, I inserted the above reference to the (WHITE) house, since it was clear to me that something had obviously been lost, in translation.)

What we need now is a separation of the “Church of Abortion” and state. Or at least, a level playing field.

Now that it appears the liberal/progressive “Church of Abortion” managed to keep their $300 million Planned Parenthood subsidy, it’s high time the “settled” legal precedent of separation of church and state was expanded to cover activities by organizations that “look and “act” like traditional churches, and/or have their own particular ideologies and creeds.

The liberal “sacrament” of abortion
appears to be at the very center
of all today’s progressive causes.

It’s high time the Supreme Court took note … and got to work providing “equal justice” under the law … in order to deny government funding to Planned Parenthood and all such “quasi” secular churches … no matter their stated purpose or intent.

Either that, or permit equal and unrestricted, level playing field, government funding/support … or the lack of it … for all “church” type organizations … whether they be real … or merely, simulated.

It’s only fair!

By modern secularist standards, Barack Obama’s boosterism for Islam violates the “separation between Church and state.”

By modern secularist standards, Barack Obama’s boosterism for Islam violates the “separation between Church and state.” Had George W. Bush held a rosary and modest fish dinner at the White House to mark the beginning of Lent, the ACLU left would have freaked out. But these same secularists didn’t mind Barack’s “Iftar dinner” last Friday night.

That is, until he wimped out on his endorsement of the Ground Zero mosque. Now his dinner looks to them more like the production of Ishtar, as finger-to-the-wind Dems cravenly scramble for cover. The search is on for a “compromise.” Perhaps the self-styled Solomonic Obama can convince the mosque planners to transfer their property rights to NASA. Administrator Charles Bolden could then turn the land into a satellite office for contractors who pursue the space agency’s “perhaps foremost” mission (as explained to him by Obama): “to reach out to the Muslim world and engage much more with dominantly Muslim nations to help them feel good about their historic contribution to science…and math and engineering.”

The time has come for the “tyrannical minority” to meet its Waterloo.

In the U.S. we are witnessing the onslaught of a “tyrannical minority” intent upon imposing their views on the rest of us. This minority is comprised of several special-interest groups, as well as a small handful of individuals with chips on their shoulders. Their self-righteous goal is to sanitize our public space of any mention of God or faith. However, their crusade is more akin to a Shermanesque march across the face of the U.S. Constitution, an act with far-reaching implications if allowed to prevail. This minority is seeking to undermine the straightforward meaning of the First Amendment.

Archbishop Chaput speaks of JFK – and Baptists more friendly than Catholics

Fifty years ago this fall, in September 1960, Sen. John F. Kennedy, the Democratic candidate for president, spoke to the Greater Houston Ministerial Association.

He had one purpose.  He needed to convince 300 uneasy Protestant ministers, and the country at large, that a Catholic like himself could serve loyally as our nation’s chief executive.

Kennedy convinced the country, if not the ministers, and went on to be elected.  And his speech left a lasting mark on American politics.  It was sincere, compelling, articulate – and wrong.

Not wrong about the patriotism of Catholics, but wrong about American history and very wrong about the role of religious faith in our nation’s life.  And he wasn’t merely “wrong.”  His Houston remarks profoundly undermined the place not just of Catholics, but of all religious believers, in America’s public life and political conversation.  Today, half a century later, we’re paying for the damage.

According to Snopes, this is true

I FIND IT INTERESTING THAT A HIGH SCHOOL PRINCIPAL CAN SEE THE PROBLEM, BUT OUR SOCIETY CANNOT.  IF I OFFEND ANYONE BY THIS, I REALLY DON’T APOLOGIZE.

Subject:   Tennessee Football

This is a statement that was read over the PA system at the football game at Roane County High School , Kingston , Tennessee , by school Principal, Jody McLeod

“It has always been the custom at Roane County High School football games, to say a prayer and play the National Anthem, to honor God and Country.”

Due to a recent ruling by the Supreme Court, I am told that saying a Prayer is a violation of Federal Case Law. As I understand the law at this time, I can use this public facility to approve of sexual perversion and call it “an alternate life style,” and if someone is offended, that’s OK.

I can use it to condone sexual promiscuity, by dispensing condoms and calling it, “safe sex.” If someone is offended, that’s OK.

I can even use this public facility to present the merits of killing an unborn baby as a “viable! means of birth control.” If someone is offended, no problem…

I can designat e a school day as “Earth Day” and involve students in activities to worship religiously and praise the goddess “Mother Earth ” and call it “ecology..”

I can use literature, videos and presentations in the classroom that depicts people with strong, traditional Christian convictions as “simple minded” and “ignorant” and call it “enlightenment..”

However, if anyone uses this facility to honor GOD and to ask HIM to Bless this event with safety and good sportsmanship, then Federal Case Law is violated.

This appears to be inconsistent at best, and at worst, diabolical.

Apparently, we are to be tolerant of everything and anyone, except GOD and HIS Commandments.

Nevertheless , as a school principal, I frequently ask staff and students to abide by rules with which they do not necessarily agree. For me to do otherwise would be inconsistent at best, and at worst, hypocritical… I suffer from that affliction enough unintentionally. I certainly do not need to add an intentional transgression.

For this reason, I shall “Render unto Caesar that which is Caesar’s,” and refrain from praying at this time.

” However, if you feel inspired to honor, praise and thank GOD and ask HIM,in the name of JESUS, to Bless this event, please feel free to do so. As far as I know, that’s not against the law—-yet.”

One by one, the people in the stands bowed their heads, held hands with one another and began to pray.

They prayed in the stands. They prayed in the team huddles. They prayed at the concession stand and they prayed in the Announcer’s Box!

The only place they didn’t pray was in the Supreme Court of the United States of America- the Seat of “Justice” in the “one nation, under GOD.”

Somehow, Kingston , Tennessee Remembered what so many have forgotten. We are given the Freedom OF Religion, not the Freedom FROM Religion. Praise GOD that HIS remnant remains!

JESUS said, “If you are ashamed of ME before men, then I will be ashamed of you before MY FATHER..”

If you are not ashamed, pass this on .

I’m not one bit ashamed to pass this on, Are you?
