Ft. Worth bishop’s ban of Traditional Mass is probably illegal under Catholic Canon Law

In a stunning and breathtaking letter, the Most Rev. Michael Olson, the newly-consecrated bishop of the Fort Worth Diocese and the second-youngest bishop in the United States, has fully and totally banned the offering of the Traditional Latin Mass in the chapel of Fisher More College, where it has been offered for the last three years on a daily basis by chaplains all approved by his predecessor bishop according to the college. This blow comes after the students of the college raised $300,000 in about a week to keep the school open for the spring semester (see here)

Wendy Davis’ secret for success: Marry a rich guy, get him to pay for everything, then dump him!

Davis was 21, not 19, when she was divorced. She lived only a few months in the family mobile home while separated from her husband before moving into an apartment with her daughter.

A single mother working two jobs, she met Jeff Davis, a lawyer 13 years older than her, married him and had a second daughter. He paid for her last two years at Texas Christian University and her time at Harvard Law School, and kept their two daughters while she was in Boston. When they divorced in 2005, he was granted parental custody, and the girls stayed with him. Wendy Davis was directed to pay child support.

Wendy Davis’ idea of “Pro-Life”: It’s OK to kill babies that may not be able to fully participate in the “Texas Dream”.

“I care about the life of every child: every child that goes to bed hungry, every child that goes to bed without a proper education, every child that goes to bed without being able to be a part of the Texas dream, every woman and man who worry about their children’s future and their ability to provide for that future,” Davis said, according to The Dallas Morning News.

Planned Parenthood “tumbling down”

toppled toppled

A photo of the sign at the Planned Parenthood abortion business Abby Johnson used to manage is making the round of the Internet.

The abortion giant closed the Bryan-College Station, Texas abortion clinic and no one is more happy about the news than Abby herself — who tweeted and Facebooked the picture.

Johnson said: “The Planned Parenthood sign at my former clinic has come down!! It is really closed. I don’t think it has become real for me yet. No more women will walk into that facility to be harmed again. No more children will die inside those walls.”

During a speech and press conference today, pro-abortion Texas lawmaker Wendy Davis said she would consider running for governor. The abortion activist also pulled a page from Nancy Pelosi’s playbook by calling defending late-term abortions “sacred ground.”

Texas Governor Rick Perry Signs Bill Banning Late-Term Abortions

Governor Rick Perry of Texas today signed the ban on late-term abortions into law at a bill signing ceremony. The signing came after weeks of debate in the state legislature and passage of the bill despite an unruly pro-abortion mob.

“Today’s signing builds on our continued commitment to protecting life for more than a decade. This is an important day for those who support life and the health of women in Texas,” Perry said. “Signing HB2 further solidifies the foundation on which the culture of in Texas is built.”

“HB2 brings improvements to the quality of care women receive,” Perry added. “HB2 protects unborn babies after the fifth month of pregnancy.”requires a doctor providing abortions to secure admitting privileges at a nearby hospital, and lastly, requires a doctor to personally administer the abortion-inducing drugs to the patient.

Texas abortion bill finally passes in spite of Wendy Davis and her banal band of Satanic losers.

Well, after  all the sturm und drang of the Wendy Davis filibuster, Davis of course being the pro-abort Democrat Texas State Senator elected into office with the help of Ralph McCloud, director of the Catholic Campaign for Human Development, pro-aborts saluting their dishonorary leader, Satan, and pro-abort thugs having confiscated from them bricks, feces and urine that they intended to throw at Texas state legislators, the bill banning almost all abortions after 20 weeks has passed.

You are of your father the devil: and the desires of your father you will do. He was a murderer from the beginning: and he stood not in the truth, because truth is not in him.

Yesterday, while Texas pro-lifers were singing, “Amazing Grace” abortion backers began chanting “Hail, Satan!”

John 8:44 You are of your father the devil: and the desires of your father you will do. He was a murderer from the beginning: and he stood not in the truth, because truth is not in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father thereof.

Head of CCHD was the campaign treasurer for the woman who filibustered the Texas legislature to stop anti-abortion legislation

cchd

While the Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD) has come under well deserved scrutiny for supporting groups such as ACORN and groups with ties to promoting abortion, CMR has uncovered that Ralph McCloud, while heading the CCHD in 2008, was simultaneously working as a highly placed campaign official for a pro-choice politician seeking to unseat a pro-life politician.

As you likely know, CCHD is the bishops’ anti-poverty program which funds community organizing and economic development projects and has been at the center of a number of controversies. Ralph McCloud was named head of the CCHD in November 2007. In his first year as head of the CCHD, according to public records, McCloud also worked as the Treasurer for Planned Parenthood endorsed Democrat Wendy Davis.

Why would the director of the CCHD, during his tenure as head of an ostensibly Catholic institution act as champion and treasurer of a campaign for a pro-abortion politician seeking to oust a pro-life politician? This is the textbook definition of scandal.

Possible new late term abortion/spinal cord snipping murder case emerges in Texas

A new video released yesterday has three former abortion clinic employees of abortion practitioner Douglas Karpen exposing horrific practices that took place at his abortion clinic.

The three informants, Deborah Edge, Gigi Aguliar, and Krystal Rodriguez, have come forward to tell of their horrific experiences working for him at one of three of his Texas abortion clinics, the Aaron Women’s Clinic in Houston. A fourth informant has co-operated with Operation Rescue, filing an affidavit about her experiences, but remains at this time anonymous.

These women brought forward evidence of illegal late-term abortions in the form of photos taken on their cell phones at the Karpen’s clinic on Schumacher Lane in Houston.

The photos were scandalous. They depicted two babies aborted well beyond the legal limit of 24 weeks in Texas. Their necks had been cut.

“The photos show babies that are huge, with gashes in their necks, indicating that these babies were likely born alive, then killed, just as Kermit Gosnell did at his ‘House of Horrors’ clinic in Philadelphia,” said Troy Newman, President of Operation Rescue. “In fact, there are numerous similarities between Karpen and the Gosnell case, including the disregarding of complaints by the authorities that allowed both men to continue their illegal operations.”

Attention Macy’s shoppers: The “woman” in the changing room next to yours may actually be a man. And that’s OK with Macy’s!

Liberty Council reported on Monday,

“A young woman was fired from the Macy’s San Antonio Rivercenter department store in Texas for refusing to violate her religious beliefs by permitting a young man dressed as a woman [to enter]  the women’s dressing room.

Natalie Johnson claims she saw the young man walk out of the women’s fitting room and politely told him that he could not go back in because it was for women only. The cross-dressing young man claimed that he is a ‘female.’ Johnson said that he was wearing make-up and girl’s clothing, but clearly he was a male.

The cross-dresser was accompanied by five other individuals. The group argued with expletives that Macy’s is LGBT-friendly, to which Johnson replied that Macy’s is also non-discriminatory toward religion, and that it would go against her religious beliefs to lie that he was a woman or compromise with homosexuality. The group then demanded to speak with a manager.”

Editor’s note: This incident seems to indicate that Macy’s changing rooms are no longer safe for normal, heterosexual people! Let’s see how Macy’s handles this, going forward.

PFL public relations director attempts to “set the record straight” about the Bishop Zurek/Father Pavone/Priests for Life dispute

As published in the October 25, 2011 issue of the Amarillo Globe-News

For over a month now, a tremendous amount of misinformation has been spread across the country about Father Frank Pavone and Priests for Life. In the interest of fairness, the editors have offered us the opportunity to set the record straight and we thank them.

Texas Report: Women are subjected to a variety of abortion abuses as a matter of routine.

Operation Rescue President Troy Newman announced in March the results of the investigation, which was conducted with the help of the pro-life group Survivors of the Abortion Holocaust.

“Our investigation focused on what the average woman would experience if she sought an abortion in Texas, and how the abortion clinics appeared and operated on an everyday basis,” said Newman.

“From what we found, women are subjected to a variety of abortion abuses as a matter of routine. Violating the law is standard operating procedure for abortion clinics in Texas,” he added.

El Paso parishioners actively resist diocese’s heretical teaching programs

The faithful Catholic crowd has been dismayed by what they say has been allowed to be taught here at Tepeyac in the El Paso diocese .. all in the name of the Church.

They say the emphasis is all on so-called social justice issues and that man is the center of what is taught and not God.

In El Paso .. anyone who wants to teach the Faith in a parish RCIA setting or youth class or Adult education or practically any other semi official teaching position has to get certification through the Tepeyac Institute. Problem is .. according to those who have actually sat through the classes .. what gets taught here actually goes against the Faith.

As a result .. these Catholics who say they are simply unable to trust any kind of “official” teaching given to them by leaders who subscribe to a type of liberation theology .. have resorted to learning for themselves.

Each week .. upwards of 50 people gather for classes in each others homes and review the official teachings of the Church in various documents like encyclicals and Cathechisms. The night we were in town .. they were getting started on a section about the sacraments .. referring first to the Catechism of the Council of Trent .. so as to better understand the most recent Catechism published under Blessed John Paul II.

Using a term and approach made popular by Pope Benedict .. they say they want to learn the faith maintaining a Hermeneutic of Continuity .. meaning viewing all the most recent teachings and documents in complete accord with all that went before for 2000 years .. keeping a CONTINUITY.

Studying the earlier documents allows them to see the mind of the Church and THEN view the more recent documents from the perspective of that continuity. This avoids any of the erroneous distortions and misinterpretations that have plagued decades of Catholics seeking the authentic understanding of what the Church actually teaches.

What they are doing is becoming a type of final effort on the part of large numbers of Catholics all around the United States as well as other parts of the western world. They are throwing in the towel on the Modernists they say run the show at so many many dioceses and going straight to the sources that are so NOW readily available.

Editor’s note: I’ve experienced this type of heretical nonsense myself, in the Midwest. Modernist “teachers” … often educated at liberal, “one size fits all” ecumenical seminaries or universities, graduate with impressive degrees, yet know little or nothing about the authentic Catholic faith.

Dioceses quickly (and negligently) hire these people, pay them a lot of money, and put them in charge of RCIA and religious education program direction, where they promptly “poison the well” by turning unsuspecting lay catechists and volunteers into dispensers of modernist heresy.

In almost every case, the fault for this lies with the bishop, who is either incompetent, too busy to worry about it, or is actually complicit in willfully and wantonly defrauding the faithful of their Catholic heritage.

This is the “Mother of All Scandals” that leads to all the others, and it should be promptly rooted out by informed, faithful Catholics, always and everywhere. That appears to be precisely what the El Paso faithful are now doing, for themselves.

God bless them, and God bless Michael Voris for bringing this matter to the attention of the world!

Bishop Zurek also wants to see financials for Rachel’s Vinyard and MGL

Amarillo’s Roman Catholic bishop called for financial transparency not only from Priests for Life, an anti-abortion group commanding millions in annual contributions, but also from two other nonprofits associated with a popular pro-life priest.

Bishop Patrick J. Zurek has demanded that the Rev. Frank Pavone, national director of Priests for Life, produce documentation for how donations have been handled by the Staten Island, N.Y., charity’s affiliates Rachel’s Vineyard and Missionaries of the Gospel of Life, said Monsignor Harold Waldow, vicar of clergy for the Diocese of Amarillo.

Read Amarillo Bishop Zurek’s homily from a recent Respect Life Sunday

Today, the rate of abortion is the lowest since Roe vs. Wade became a Law.  Fifty percent of Americans state they are Pro-Life.  But abortions still occur; so the Church cries out in lamentation and even anger at what man perpetrates.  Holy Church justifiably cries out her fury like the mama bear that sees her cubs threatened.  But we do no harm!  We “Christians are the conscience of our society.”  (Diognetis, 3rd  C.)  Therefore we “proclaim the sacredness of human life.”   We work and pray hard for a “Culture of Life.”  We return a blessing, not a curse, to those twisted with a Pro Choice mentality and philosophy.  We commit to pray for them.  We tell them we WILL PRAY  for them!
