UK police act like Pennsylvania Department of Health – ignore ongoing criminal activity so as not to appear “politically incorrect”.

Catastrophic failings by police and social services allowed a Muslim child sex trafficking ring to sexually torture girls as young as 11 for eight years, all because law enforcement didn’t want to offend Muslim sensibilities, or worse, be accused of racist-islamophobic-bigotry.

“Victims repeatedly told officers they had been raped or abused by the vicious and ‘medieval’ predators – but no action was taken.” They used knives, cleavers and baseball bats to inflict severe pain on the girls for their twisted pleasure.

Former Gov. Tom Ridge (Pa.), a pro-choice Republican, was the key reason the horrors of Kermit Gosnell’s Philadelphia abortion clinic went on undetected for so long.

Ridge is a pro-choice Republican and it was his administration that decided to halt annual inspections of Pennsylvania’s abortion clinics. This happened because the Ridge administration felt shoddier clinics like Gosnell’s would be forced to close if inspectors from the state department of health came through and did their jobs. Closing clinics would create a “barrier” for women seeking abortions, and Ridge didn’t want that.

United Nations: State prohibition of abortion constitutes “torture”.

Juan E. Mendez, the UN’s Special Rapporteur on Torture, and Other Cruel, Inhuman, and Degrading Punishment, says not allowing women a chance to detect fetal abnormalities before birth, and having a chance to kill their baby in an abortion if such problems are detected, is wrong.

“International and regional human rights bodies have begun to recognize that abuse and mistreatment of women seeking reproductive health services can cause tremendous and lasting physical and emotional suffering, inflicted on the basis of gender. Examples of such violations include…denial of legally available health services such as abortion and post-abortion care,” he said in the report, saying he was promoting “the reproductive rights practices in health-care settings that he believes amount to torture or ill-treatment.”

Editor’s note: But no mention of what abortion constitutes … for the baby.

Catholics persecuted, priest tortured in North Sudan

KHARTOUM, Sudan – A Roman Catholic priest of Kadugli parish in Sudan’s embattled South Kordofan is in hiding after being detained three times in the past three months.

Authorities tortured the Rev. Abraham Lual on two of those occasions with accusations that as a Christian he opposes northern forces’ military campaign in the disputed region, he told Compass by phone.

Detained at 10:20 a.m. on Sept. 6 and interrogated for five hours at the security unit’s head office in El-Obied, Lual told Compass that authorities are monitoring his movements and those of other church leaders on the assumption that they are supported by Western Christians opposed to Islam and the north’s military push for territory in South Kordofan.

He was also detained for two days in Kadugli, the capital of South Kordofan, on Aug. 28, and the torture he suffered left him with injuries to his left leg, he said. Sudan Armed Forces (SAF) agents had also arrested him on June 8, accusing him of preaching that people should oppose the Islamic government, he said; authorities tortured him for two days at that time as well.

Sebelius and her Kansas political “pals” at least partly to blame for death of Tiller

tiller-sebelius2

Kathleen Sebelius, former Governor of Kansas, now Obama Administration cabinet member, is at least partly to blame for the demise of Dr. George Tiller. (Sebelius seen standing between Tiller and his wife.)

Sebelius was Tiller’s biggest fan and his most politically savy enabler, even to the point of throwing lavish parties for the abortionist and his staff, in the Governor’s residence.

If Sebelius had actually engaged with Kansas pro-lifers in the type of dialogue that her boss, Barack Obama, the ABORTION President, claims to so highly recommend,  it’s quite likely that an acceptable compromise could have been worked out that would have both reduced the number of abortions and lowered Tiller’s profile as the country’s leading late term abortionist.

And that, my friends, may have been the difference between life and death … for Tiller … and for many of the thousands of innocent babies that Tiller so wantonly put to death … using many and various methods and means … that are much, much more brutal … to both the mother and the ill-fated child … than any of the alleged acts of torture that were recently carried out by the U.S. government, in defense of our country.

Anyone want to bet that Sebelius doesn’t even have the “guts” to show up at her pal Tiller’s funeral?

Mr. President, it’s not too late to begin a serious dialog. What are you waiting for?
