Popular heresy: Dispensationalism, Israel, & the Church
The view of history held by adherents of this theology is some variation of the following:
God promises Jewish people an earthly kingdom to be ruled by Messiah.
The Messiah comes to offer Jews their earthly kingdom that would establish Jewish law throughout the land, but Jews reject Him, so the promise is postponed But the Church develops, an unforeseen consequence of the Messiah’s Coming, and the Church Age, or the “Parenthesis Period” as far as God’s plan for “Israel” goes, begins (i.e., the “parenthesis” is the “pause” in God’s “real” plan, which is for ethnic Jews).
At some point, out of the clear blue, with no warnings, the Christ will come to rapture up the Church
The Rapture will be followed by the Tribulation and appearance of the Antichrist. Then 144,000 Jews preach the Gospel.
After things heat up, the Battle of Armageddon will occur. Christ will come a third time, which will bring on an instant conversion of “all Israel”. God will set up His Millennial Kingdom and bind Satan. For ethnic Jews, this Kingdom will be on earth, in the natural order and with a restoration of Temple sacrifices; for the Church, its members and the resurrected Saints go to the Heavenly Jerusalem, suspended over the earthly city.
Satan is loosed for a season and a revolt by some will follow. Christ comes again (a fourth time!) for the final judgement, more resurrections, and a new Heaven and a new earth
There are so many problems — out and out heresies — involved with this mode of thought that it’s hard to know where to begin.
Rabbi declares God’s goodness, citing recent miracles in Israel.

Editor’s note: Still trying to figure out how that same God permitted the October 6 surprise invasion, along with all the related deaths and destruction. Could it have something to do with The Day of Atonement – Yom Kippur?
Israel reports first “space warfare” event.
The joint MoD-IDF statement noted that the Arrow 3 “effectively intercepted a target launched towards Israel in the Red Sea region.” On October 31, 2023, an Arrow 2 missile successor intercepted a long-range ballistic missile launched at Israel by Iran-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen.
While this was not the first operational use of the Arrow 2, it was the interceptor’s first use during a war and first interception of a ground-to-ground ballistic missile. Moreover, because the intercept occurred beyond Earth’s atmosphere, it is considered the first reported instance of space warfare.

Israel illegally demolishes East Jerusalem property owned by the Catholic Church
JERUSALEM – The head of the Roman Catholic Church in the Holy Land protested Tuesday against Israel’s demolition of a church-owned property in annexed east Jerusalem, saying it eroded chances for peace.
“This act is against the law, against justice and against humanity, against any ideology upon which peace can be built and increases segregation and hate,” Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem Fuad Tawwal told journalists at the site of the demolition.
Editor’s note: This is the kind of thing that happens when the Vatican “snubs” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin “Bibi” Netanyahu – as they did when Bibi’s planned meeting with Pope Francis was recently canceled, on very short notice.

Grand reopening planned for actual site of the Last Supper
The Cenacle, the building on Mt. Zion which houses the “Upper Room” where Jesus and his disciples held the Last Supper will once again be open for Catholic worship, it has been announced by spokesmen for the Vatican, the Israeli government and the Franciscan Custody of the Holy Land.

Writer takes serious issue with Cardinal Koch and his particular interpretation of the Catholic Church’s position towards the Jews.

Not long ago I quoted American journalist Grace Halsell in an article about the damaging influence of the Scofield Bible, not realising how sorely she was made to suffer for setting out the truth.
That article, ‘The Zionist cuckoos in Christianity’s nest’, showed how Cyrus Scofield corrupted the Biblical message and produced a propaganda classic that has been working its evil for 100 years.
Scofield, a convicted criminal and described by one American newspaper as “a shyster”, was commissioned to re-write the King James Bible by inserting Zionist-friendly notes. The idea was to change the Christian view of Zionism by creating and promoting a pro-Zionist sub-culture within Christianity. The Oxford University Press appointed Scofield as editor, and the Scofield Reference Bible was born.
It introduced a new worship icon, the modern State of Israel, which did not exist until 1948 but was already being ‘prepped’ on the drawing board of the World Zionist movement.
It appealed to the impressionable and was seized on by religious chancers who have used inappropriate methods to establish a large and dangerously un-Christian fringe to the Christianity movement. They call themselves Christian Zionists.
“For the first time in history we have actual objects from the time of David, which can be related to monuments described in the Bible.”
“This is the first time that archaeologists uncovered a fortified city in Judah from the time of King David,” Garfinkel said in a press release. “Even in Jerusalem we do not have a clear fortified city from his period. Thus, various suggestions that completely deny the biblical tradition regarding King David and argue that he was a mythological figure, or just a leader of a small tribe, are now shown to be wrong.”
Editor’s note: This is bad news for Muslims, who deny the existence of any ancient Hebrew presence in the Holy Land.
This is also bad news for the secularists and atheists, since it bolsters the biblical accounts.
And of course, Jesus Christ is the eternal King of the Royal Line that began with King David, the son of Jesse, descended from the biblical Ruth.
No authentic David … no authentic Jesus!

Obama and company resolve the Iranian nuke crisis with a sweeping compromise!

The Iranian “nuke” quandary has the Middle East on the brink of war, with Israel said to be preparing an attack on Iranian nuclear facilities, (you may prefer to pronounce it “nucular”) as this is being written.
Fortunately for the world, the Obama administration has arrived at an extraordinary compromise, the brilliance of which is only now beginning to be appreciated by free people, all around the globe. (Those Nobel Peace Prize folks were obviously quite right about President Obama. God bless them!)
According to President Obama, the Iranians would be allowed to produce unlimited quantities of nuclear materials … and weaponize them, at will … but as soon as any fully functional weapon was produced, it would immediately be “titled” to the Israelis … even though the weapon would still remain in the Iranian weapons inventory, available for use.
In this way, the problem of Iranian nuclear weapons would disappear forever … and virtually overnight, since every Iranian nuclear weapon that was ever produced would technically belong to Israel … and any alleged Iranian nuclear attack on Israel could then be viewed as nothing more than the Israelis using one of their own nuclear weapons on themselves … thus averting a wider war.
A private insurance company would administer the program and cover all the costs … since the Iranians have refused to pay for the manufacture of Israeli “nukes”… citing religious objections.
Unconfirmed sources suggest that credit for this brilliant and extraordinary bit of diplomacy belongs primarily to HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius and close presidential adviser David Axelrod.
While Iran has reportedly already signed off on the program, Israel has not. But highly placed sources within the administration say it’s highly unlikely that Israel would fail to go along with this unprecedented Obama Administration initiative for “Peace In Our Time”.
